He turned around and could no longer care about the affairs of the Rain Listener, loudly ordering the Blood Oath Alliance mbers around him to stabilize their formation while directing the elite mbers of the Jiefulite Red Cloak Team to co to their aid. It was at this mont that Fang Hong found an opportunity—
Under the siege of the Corpse Ghosts, the Blood Oath Alliance and mbers of the Jiefulite Red Cloak Team were shrinking their defensive lines inward. For a while, no one could estimate the bridge that led to the twelfth level. The Corpse Ghosts seed uninterested in the bridge, focusing only on attacking those near the edge of the cliff.
Thus, under their mutual neglect, the path leading to that Lonely Bridge opened up widely before the group of Rain Listeners.
Fang Hong almost imdiately wanted to lead his people forward, but it was at this mont that Alice suddenly grabbed his hand and whispered, "Mr. Ade, you go ahead, don't worry about us. I'll have soone cover you!"
Fang Hong was slightly taken aback, looking at her with so surprise.
"What about you...?"
The young girl smiled gently, slowly releasing his hand, "We will find our way, go, Mr. Ade, go find Miss Hilveld. You've helped us so much, it's ti for us to wholeheartedly help you, isn't it?"
Fang Hong was completely stunned.
He couldn't understand whether her words were sincere, but he also couldn't find any other motive. He seed to try to read sothing from Alice's face, but that innocent smile seed to hold no deeper aning.
For a mont, his mind was a ss, nearly asking outright why she had assud a false identity, but at the last mont, he cald down and quietly said:
"Thank you, Miss Elisa..."
Alice just stood there, nodding at him.
Fang Hong turned around, and for a mont, he thought he saw a flicker of red sparkle in the crowd, as if a cold gaze was fixed on him.
But after hesitating slightly, every illusion disappeared, and then he ca to his senses, shook his head, raised his hand from beneath his cloak, and shouted loudly, "Silver Weslan, follow —!"
This shout was not just heard by Tainaric behind him.
It also caught the attention of the Dwarf, who looked back in surprise, just in ti to see two blue lights slowly unfolding in the dark underground, and two Constructs, shimring in silver, stepping out as if clad in female armor.
Fang Hong raised his hand, and with two flashes of bright sword light, two Corpse Ghost heads flew high into the air.
"Energy Angel!" the Dwarf exclaid, "People of Silver Weslan, you—!"
But he could not finish his words, for he saw those people suddenly break through the crowd, carving a path through the mass of Corpse Ghosts, heading straight for the stone bridge. "Damn, soone really did sneak in—stop them!" the Dwarf was hopping mad, but it was in vain, as they couldn't spare anyone at this mont.
As for the Rain Listener.
The Dwarf looked around, but could not see Alice at all.
He was puzzled, where were the people of Rain Listener?
...
On a distant platform, a volley of gunfire just echoed.
A young man ducked, a bullet struck the broken wall, sending a shower of stone chips flying, dust settling on his head, gray and dusty. But as the gunfire ceased, he hurriedly rushed to the other side, helping up a noble girl.
"Are you alright, Miss Hilveld?"
Hilveld, trying to appear relaxed, smiled, shook her head, and, clenching her teeth, stood up, holding her shoulder wound. She glanced at him, chuckled, "Thank you, Roosevelt, for being so loyal at such a ti, just like your father."
The young man blushed, responding, "What are you saying, Miss Hilveld? My father and grandfather pledged their loyalty to the master of Manorling, as long as the unicorns of the Rurals exist in this world, they will never break that oath, and being their descendant, it's my duty to do this."
After speaking, he frowned, looking at the severe wound on her shoulder, his eyes reddening, "But I failed to take good care of you, putting you in such a predicant."
"It's not your fault," Hilveld weakly shook her head, "This path was my own choice."
Sounds of rustling ca from the ruins, several people in black cloaks erged from the dust, gathering around Hilveld, seeing her unhard seed to relieve each one of them.
And next to these people, a small, tremulous Ratman looked sowhat scared, squeaking, "Miss, they've surrounded us, what shall we do?"
"Don't worry, Mr. Short Beard, no imdiate danger for a while." Hilveld calmly looked over the distant figures shrouded in smoke, reassuring him with a soft word, as Andrett Ratn generally were not very courageous, it was unexpected for him to have held on till here.
"Miss," a tall man, wrapped entirely in a black cloak, said gruffly, "This can't go on, the Undead seem to be approaching, they are a bit panicky, we need to co up with another idea."
Hilveld nodded lightly at this.
The young man nad Roosevelt suddenly stood out, speaking loudly, "I'll distract them, Miss Hilveld, we are about the sa height, I can impersonate you in the dust, they won't notice."
