Calling all talk and no action, not enough of a friend.
What does that even an——
Chenxi couldn't help but inwardly curse Fang Hong as well.
But as much as he cursed, he couldn't resist looking at the image where the newly joined mbers of the two small guilds actually had so skills, having carved a bloody path and advanced with the Silver Vislan to a cluster of ancient ruins.
However, that's as far as their assault went. In their last wave of offense, nearly all of them had activated their Overload State, and their Magic Guided Reactors were now overburdened. Although they were able to force their way into these ruins briefly, they couldn't keep it up, visibly slowing down.
A third of those from Silver Vislan were still in a weakened state, and it seed as if the levels of Dragon's Claws and Undead on the island had increased significantly. The deeper they went, the more difficult it beca to progress even an inch.
Although they knew reinforcents were on the other side of the battlefield, the battlefield was now in chaos, no one was able to find anyone else, even with an aerial view, only sparse combat could be observed.
Just when Toragotos's minions were closing in from all directions, making things difficult for everyone, a wall nearby suddenly collapsed, and a bunch of disheveled people crawled out from within.
Upon seeing them, these people seed thrilled and eagerly waved their hands, saying, "Quick, this way!"
The man covered in dust and gri exaggeratedly gesticulated, "My na's Slvas, the one who was calling you on the channel earlier, yes, yes, yes, do you rember us! My goodness, there are so many monsters here, but as I said, we would co, we surely would co!"
Paradise Falling swiftly interrupted this chatterbox, pointing to the hole in the wall, sowhat stunned he asked, "What's this all about?"
"The monsters are everywhere, except underground, so we dug a tunnel," Slvas grinned, his face sared with soot, very noticeable with his pearly white teeth, looking like a big brother from Africa: "As you can see, it ca in handy, haha, we did contribute our part."
Fang Hong looked at these grimy figures, feeling an indescribable sense of emotion. These small guild mbers, lacking the strict organization of the Grand Guild, were nonetheless willing to stand up at a critical mont. Perhaps they had simpler minds, rely wanting to give their all in this final push.
But reflecting on the Jiefulite Red Cloak Team and Rain Listeners, who only caused trouble, how could they be as endearing as these people?
"Soone must stay to cover our retreat," Despite the glimpse of hope, Gabriel remained rational as ever, "Otherwise, if there are enemies on that side too, being trapped underground would be quite the predicant."
"I've already thought of that, and since we dug this tunnel, it's only right that we cover the rear," Slvas said nonchalantly.
But Paradise Falling shook his head, "No, you haven't fought yet and are in better condition than us in all respects, staying here would be a waste."
He glanced at Fang Hong, "Xiaya, I'm counting on you."
Fang Hong was slightly taken aback.
He clearly understood what that ant; to stay and cover, was it not akin to a death sentence?
But he also understood that soone had to step forward in such a seemingly hopeless battle. Naturally, so would have to sacrifice their lives, an apparent inevitability. Without any superfluous words, which in his view would be a disservice to these people, he simply nodded gently.
Paradise Falling wasn't one for fuss, so he turned and yelled to his own mbers, "Move out, we're going to win this, guys!"
Together they cried out and turned to face the battlefield, not as if they were heading to their demise, but as if they were marching toward a magnificent victory.
Slvas stood there stunned, finally giving one last look at these people. Fang Hong simply walked over, patted the man on the shoulder, and led his mbers down into the tunnel.
This was the third island.
Victory seed not too far away for them.
