The others nodded in agreent.
Fourteen Alchemists erged from the Teleportation Gate, and almost every one of them bore a platinum starry Flash on their collars. In Fang Hong's eyes, none of them were below the level of a professional craftsman.
And each one wore a tallic Control Glove on their right hand.
Every one of them was a Combat Artisan.
Additionally, there were two Magic Guided Conductors with Magic Guided Wands, though he did not recognize them.
However, he certainly recognized their identity. In the Southern Region, who else but the Southern Region Alchemist Alliance could muster such a luxurious lineup? "Southern Region Alchemist Alliance, are you rebelling!?" The Dulun Regent gripped his Scepter of Authority tightly and couldn't help but roar in anger.
What angered him wasn't just this point. It was that when these Alchemists appeared, they didn't even glance at him—they were inexplicably observing the sky, as if they had made an appointnt to observe the stars at night.
They treated him as if he were air.
Only then did the middle-aged man lower his head and say, "Why would you say that, Regent? We are not part of the Alchemist Alliance."
The Regent, enraged, laughed and retorted, "Frank of the Yaheng family, do you think I'm Blind?"
"Not at all," Frank replied, "Ever since the dissolution of the alliance, the Alchemist Alliance has been unable to fulfill its duties, so we have left the alliance and joined the Westwood Sibika family."
The middle-aged Alchemist argued earnestly, "As for the Westwood Sibika family, it has long been designated as Rebels by His Majesty the King, so technically speaking, Regent, saying we're rebelling is inaccurate. We've actually been rebelling for quite so ti."
The Dulun Regent nearly blacked out upon hearing this, almost spitting blood.
Although as one of the three major pillar families of the Southern Region, the Westwood Sibika family was certainly backed by nurous allies, such as the Yaheng and Kevin families in front of them, traditional allies indeed.
But he thought the other side would at least consider the Alchemist Alliance's identity. Unexpectedly, they played such a hand.
This was rather reckless.
He vaguely sensed that the problem was serious, that the Pri Minister might have underestimated the Southern Region's resistance, but these thoughts only flashed through his mind. Another reaction was quicker; he imdiately realized they were after the 'hostage'—Enan Modkaesar.
The young man had already confessed, which was the best breakthrough point to the Southern ironclad alliance, so he couldn't let him go easily. He turned, raised the Scepter, and instinctively tried to grab the young man beside him.
But on the high platform, soone reacted faster.
It was Resonance, the Chairman of the Song of Ash.
Resonance raised his hand, and an Elental Crystal flashed in his hand; without even chanting, the Crystal turned to dust, stirring a cold wind. Wherever the cold wind went, a giant Frost hand rose from the accumulated snow on the platform, reaching for the Dulun Regent.
Yet at that mont, a voice ca from behind Resonance: "Resonance, he is the Dulun Regent; you cannot make a move against him!"
Resonance was slightly taken aback, but in that mont of hesitation, a narrow blade had already stabbed out from behind him.
The Chairman of the Song of Ash gave a backward slap; the Ice hand retracted and shattered the blade. He turned around, incredulous, to see who had attacked him: "Snow, do you really want to stand against us?"
Snow shook her head, raised her hand, and another Frost Blade appeared in her hand: "I only hope you can distinguish between right and wrong, Resonance."
"Who is right and wrong, the Super Competitive League doesn't decide."
While these two exchanged blows, the Dulun Regent finally got a chance, giving an order to his trusty aides: "Capture Enan Modkaesar!" The knights beside him imdiately rushed forward to block the young duke.
In the Dulun Regent's eyes, the Chairman of the Song of Ash was held down by their own, and Enan Modkaesar was rumored to be consistently inept in swordsmanship, utterly defenseless. It should be easy for his trusted aides to capture him.
But as the knights took a step forward, a bright sword blade blocked their path.
It was a sowhat narrow sword.
The blade bore faint fla-patterned engravings.
Its cross-guard resembled a pair of open crimson wings, and beneath these wings, the sword hilt was gripped by a rough but strong hand. Enan Modkaesar looked up in surprise at the tall figure standing in front of him.
When the previous King was still alive, he jokingly referred to this minister as a lion of the Kingdom. And due to his towering stature, Duke Modkaesar even earned the derogatory nickna 'Black Bear' from his political rivals and opponents.
Yet this clumsy, stubborn Black Bear now truly resembled a majestic lion.
The Duke held his sword in front of the Regent, still taciturn and succinctly said, "Before I agree, no one can take a mber of the Modkaesar Family away."
The Regent hadn't expected such a scene, montarily at a loss: "D-Duke… this has nothing to do with the Phoenix Family…"
"Then whom does it concern?"
"B-but His Majesty the King…"
"This is the Southern Region," the Duke seed to open his eyes only then, glancing at him briefly, "In the Southern Region, there are Southern thods for solving problems." He turned back, casting only a faint glance at his son, who did not earn his favor.
Then he answered, "This is my third son; if you want to take him, you'll have to contend with the sword in my hand as his father."
Behind him.
Enan watched the scene wordlessly, with a tumultuous storm raging in his heart.
