Sophia Anse Ledesma was a pure-blooded Silver Dragon. She had run away from ho, sneaking off Dragon Island for the sole purpose of gathering her very own hoard of treasure.

If she could obtain the title of Silver Dragon Queen, that would be even better.

Then she could swagger back to Dragon Island and use the golden soles of her shoes to viciously slap that old woman’s face.

The re thought of it made her so excited that bubbles seed to pop from her nose.

"Sophia, all of this is within reach!" she psyched herself up. As her gaze swept over the treasure she had collected since arriving in the Wilderness, her dragon eyes filled with a look of obsession. "Heh heh, my little darlings, let see if any of you are missing."

A Giant Dragon’s mory was, of course, impeccable. With just a single glance, Sophia could tell if any of their positions had changed.

’I wonder if Gorgon has been secretly collecting treasure for like I ordered.’

Completely satisfied, Sophia’s thoughts turned to other matters.

Living on Dragon Island, she’d had it drilled into her by her elders since she was young that the Human World was a very dangerous place. Those humans loved to beco Dragon Slayer Warriors to prove their martial prowess.

A distant uncle of hers, already a dragon in his pri, had gone on an adventure before she was born and had yet to return. She heard he had been captured by humans and imprisoned in a palace court, forced to toil day and night until the poor dragon had wasted away.

That was why she had stayed hidden in her lair without going out ever since she arrived, terrified that these Dragon Slayers would discover her tracks.

Fortunately, she had found a Kobold with a Dragon Vein. The mont it laid eyes on her magnificent, heroic form, the Kobold prostrated itself in submission. So, naturally, she appointed it commander of her Giant Dragon Corps, ordering it to gather followers in the na of the Giant Dragon and secretly collect treasure for her.

’This Wilderness is chaotic and lawless. As long as I don’t go flaunting myself around in the sky, I definitely won’t attract the attention of the surrounding Kingdoms. Once I’ve collected enough treasure, I can go back to Dragon Island and buy a lair of my very own.’

As she thought about this, Sophia started walking outside. She’d slept for so long; it was ti to get so fresh air. If Gorgon had perford well, she could take the opportunity to offer a few words of praise.

Arriving at the cave entrance, she found it was blocked by a Giant Stone. The Silver Dragon simply muttered sothing in the Dragon Language, and the Giant Stone before her turned into a pile of yellow earth, scattering on the ground.

As a Silver Dragon, Magic was etched into their Bloodline like an instinct, and Sophia herself commanded a type of Magic that controlled the Earth Elent.

The warm morning light shone down on her Dragon Scales, and a gentle breeze blew across her face. Sophia couldn’t help but squint her eyes in comfort.

Gazing at the vast sky, an unspoken feeling burst forth in her heart. Sophia couldn’t resist spreading her massive Dragon Wings and roaring in a low voice:

"Co forth, my servants!"

Ever since she took in the surrendering Wilderness Natives, this group of followers practically wouldn’t leave her side. Every ti she ca out, they would flock to her, praising her power and magnificence.

anwhile, the Lord hiding at the top of the slope looked down at the slender Silver Dragon below, a bewildered expression on his face.

"We’ve been discovered?"

"I don’t think so?"

Zat, who was also lying prone on the slope, subconsciously went to scratch his butt, only to realize he was wearing Iron Armor and could only give up in resignation.

"We can’t rule out that it has detection-type Magic. To its senses, our camouflage might be as ridiculous as an ostrich burying its head in the sand."

"It’s already treating us like servants before the fight has even started. This Giant Dragon is very confident in its own strength. This is an unprecedentedly powerful foe!" The Lord’s expression, however, was grim. After hesitating for just a mont, he made his decision. Scrambling to his feet, he raised his arm and bellowed, "Hog, bring out our big baby!"

To be honest, this Silver Dragon was quite a bit weaker than Levi had expected.

Generally speaking, the Giant Dragons of legend were mostly four to five hundred feet long or more, with wingspans exceeding three hundred feet. They could truly blot out the sun, and a single glance at one was enough to extinguish any will to resist.

Not to ntion distant examples, even the "Thorn Queen" active in the Dark Swamp, a Black Dragon said to be around three hundred feet long, was a true Giant Beast of the current world.

But this Silver Dragon in front of him?

Its body was slender and graceful, its Dragon Scales shimring with a beautiful silver light, but its body was a hundred feet long at most, with an eighty-foot wingspan. Perhaps it was still huge compared to a human, but compared to those famous Giant Dragons, it could only be considered a young dragon.

SWISH! SWISH! SWISH!

Following the Lord’s lead, the Beastman Barbarians who had been lying prone on the ground jumped out one after another.

Sophia stared, dumbfounded, as rows of dark, armored heads suddenly popped up on the surrounding slopes—fully ard warriors encased in iron.

’Wait, where are my followers? Where are my servants?’

’What are these big Iron Canisters?’

To the sound of creaking and groaning, seven giant Bed Crossbows were hauled onto the slope by a group of Giants. The massive Crossbow Arrows were already nocked, ready to be fired at the pull of a trigger.

They were no more than a hundred paces from the Giant Dragon. At this range, for a Bed Crossbow, it was tantamount to pressing the crossbow arrow right against the dragon’s head.

Staring at the massive, gleaming Arrowheads aid at her, Sophia’s legs went weak with fright, and she wanted to cry but had no tears.

’I just took a nap, how did the sky fall when I woke up?’

’The way this group is postured, you can tell at a glance they don’t co in peace. They’re clearly here for . They even prepared seven Bed Crossbows specifically for dealing with Giant Dragons.’

’This couldn’t be one of those specialized... Dragon Slayer Squads the old woman was talking about, could it?’

But Sophia didn’t give up. She roared, her voice and expression fierce, and flapped her massive Dragon Wings, trying to make her body look as large as possible.

"I am the Silver Dragon Queen! Mortals, you have successfully pro—"

Unfortunately, in the next second, a massive Crossbow Arrow zipped past her ear with a WHOOSH, scaring her so badly she stumbled back several steps, completely unable to get the rest of her sentence out.

A glance out of the corner of her eye showed that the Crossbow Arrow had enough force to shatter rock, embedding itself up to the fletching in the mountainside.

’If that had hit , I’d be dead!’

"Who the hell shot that!"

The Lord was so angry his nose was practically crooked. He roared, "You clumsy oaf! When we get back, you’ll be practicing the crossbow for every single day!"

Shooting before the order was one thing, but he even fucking missed.

"Boss, my hand slipped," a Beastman Warrior said, sowhat awkwardly.

He had grown up listening to stories of Giant Dragons, and now that he was seeing the real deal, he couldn’t contain his excitent.

"Pathetic," Levi said, exasperated.

Fortunately, the Silver Dragon, whether because it was scared stiff or because it was held at bay by the Bed Crossbows, remained frozen in place, not daring to move an inch, let alone fly into the sky.

If it dared to try, it would be turned into a pincushion in the next instant.

Originally, according to Levi’s plan, if the Giant Dragon proved to be terrifyingly strong, they would have to kill it, even if it ant paying a heavy price.

But this Silver Dragon had sparked a different idea in the Lord’s mind—capture it alive!
