It is precisely because of this fundantal difference in approaching war that conflicts between Yurik and Violet’s sect are constant. Violet’s followers tend to see Yurik’s approach as brutal and savage, while Yurik’s followers view Violet’s approach as weak and cunning.
Although both sects emphasize a warrior’s honor, their definitions are vastly different: The Yurik sect believes the proper battlefield is open terrain where both sides can deploy fully, while the Violet sect is obsessed with finding complex terrain favorable to them and depriving the enemy of proper deploynt opportunities. The White Wolf Warriors consider this a waste of ti and even cowardice.
However, any rational Imperial person knows that the disdain Yurik’s followers feel for Violet is not because she advocates disgraceful or cowardly combat tactics but because she is a strong competitor to Yurik as an Outer Domain War God.
