Its status is even comparable to the Blood Mist Hills’ significance to the Green Dragon Legion.
Su Li turned to look at the Primitive Maiden Vidage and asked, "You are Primordial Essence beings, how is your relationship with the Green Dragon? Will its legion coexist harmoniously with you?"
"Green Dragon?" The Primitive Maiden exclaid, covering her mouth with her hand, looking very surprised.
"Green Dragon?"
"Green Dragon?" One after another, tiny essence souls popped their heads out from beneath the lily pads in the pool.
Soon, three small bird-like beings with sparrow-like wings flew out from the hidden aquatic plants and perched on Kappa’s head.
They had witnessed the exchange between the Primitive Maiden Vidage and the Guardian Otter Kappa with the humans and confird these humans would not harm them.
So, they curiously erged, eager to engage with people. After all, they hid in this gem pool and rarely had the chance to communicate with other creatures.
"You an the Green Dragon?"
"That particularly huge and powerful creature with scales and wings? The kind that breathes Dragon Breath?"
"The one that also eats people, eats essence souls, with an especially good appetite for a Forest Monster?"
The mont they appeared, they began to chatter incessantly.

Buoy, the little bird-like being, puffed out her chest and then deflated, saying dispiritedly, "Alright then, Lucy, this ti you and Aileen can introduce us."
The two bird-like beings beside her released their wings from covering her mouth, happily saying, "We are..."
Before they could continue, Buoy, no longer dispirited, her eyes lit up and she raised her wings, rapidly blurting out all the information in one breath like popping beans.
"We are River Elves, residing in so rivers of the Old World. Like Mr. Tree Spirits, we are natural shapeshifters and can possess formidable war forms. Outwardly, we generally appear as slender elven females with beautiful waterbird wings, possessing white or blue hair and eyes, and always looking rather wet. But when the river is invaded, we will fiercely defend our territory from external threats."
She quickly covered her mouth again, her eyes darting left and right, sowhat embarrassedly looking at Lucy and Aileen. Evidently, both had their arms akimbo and cheeks puffed in anger.
Su Li feared she might suffocate herself by saying so much in one go.
River Elves?
Indeed, they seem sowhat like river versions of the Forest Tree Demon.
Su Li curiously asked, "Do you lure humans into the water, dragging them into the river?"
This ti, before she could reply, Aileen imdiately covered her mouth and quickly said, "Many places indeed have various legends of water beauties tempting others and leading them to death. These stories just cause misunderstandings about us, only the most wanton and extre River Elves would do such a thing."
Then Lucy nodded in agreent, saying, "Humans are just jealous that we can express ourselves as we wish, transforming into many different forms."
"Exactly, exactly." Mia couldn’t wait to pull Aileen’s wing away from her mouth, popping her eyes with excitent as she explained, "Sotis we transform into tiny elven forms riding beetles, equipped with our own wings to fly around. Sotis we might change into small animal forms, but there will usually be one unusual or unnatural feature to mark the creature as a non-typical presence among our kind."
"River Elves treated well are friendly creatures, yet still mischievous. But if wronged, we remain mischievous, but will quickly beco deadly."
"However, River Elves are captives of their whims, seemingly able to swiftly change moods like the wind. So never try to anger us. Those lured into the water must have said sothing offensive."
Capable of transformation?
Su Li was sowhat amazed; this was the first type of creature he had encountered capable of shape-shifting.
But technically, that shouldn’t count, since humans were actually the first shape-shifting race Su Li interacted with.
The Divine Chosen Knight can transform into a dignified Divine General tens of ters tall, Druids can transform into bears and Owl Beasts, among other forms.
Based on this reasoning, there might be other shape-shifting races.
He wonders if the Giant Dragons of this world, like those of other worlds, can take on human form.
Dragon Lady or Little Dragon Girl?
Su Li felt an increasing urge to beco a Dragon Knight.
He then smiled and said to the elves and the Primitive Maiden, "Rest assured. I only like to conquer larger creatures, even if they are female, I prefer them taller, and I won’t offend you adorable little ladies in word or deed. We might even guard your gem pool against the Green Dragon’s encroachnt."
