"Divine might! Divine might!..."
"Lord of the Celestial Kingdom! Lord of the Celestial Kingdom!..."
Bearing the [Halo of the Great Benefactor], the native allied army couldn’t comprehend a piercing truth: the reason Byron chose to act at this last mont was purely to snatch their kills!
When the five-headed Demon Dragon was at its peak, he couldn’t beat it. Now, after being weakened three tis, it was only left with a sliver of health. Could he still not defeat it? That was absolutely not the case.
The natives only saw the Demon Dragon, which everyone had been desperately fighting for so long, successively stripped of its power, knowledge, and form three tis by Byron’s unknown Authority.
In the end, it took just a casual strike for him to effortlessly take its life.
Among the community of Native Extraordinaries, who were nearly at the peak of the Third Order, no one felt they could achieve this, nor could they even comprehend such terrifying Authority.
Byron’s strength, in their eyes, was naturally elevated beyond asure, and they couldn’t help but be filled with awe for him.
PLOP!
Emperor Aztec [Conqueror] Cortes, keenly aware of his role as a supporter, was the first to prostrate himself. Worshipping Byron as one would a god, his eyes brimd with tears as he bowed deeply and cried out,
"My lord!
This heretic [Hook-nosed King] dares to usurp Your Godly Na, and all believers are filled with righteous indignation! Alas, our power was insufficient. If not for Your honorable intervention, our losses would have been grave.
Your rcy and divine might shine even brighter than the sun!"
Byron’s mouth twitched slightly.
Really, blurting out such a bare truth. This man was able to climb from the bottom to the rank of commodore in his lifeti, and he even dared to sche against the Native Empire. No doubt he is talented, but... being unable to lie is also a problem.
His accompanying Aztec garrison and the Pirate Group naturally followed suit.
Most of the other mbers of the Tayac City State Alliance Army were also Byron’s followers; seeing this, they knelt, each one faster than the last.
"My lord!"
The majority of them had never seen the likeness of the [Father of Healing]. Now, seeing Byron’s bronze skin and an appearance similar to their own, a sense of kinship spontaneously arose.
Consequently, their devotion to his faith surged imnsely.
While it is said that monks from afar may chant sutras more effectively, given the precedent set by the Colonizers, their own kind were relatively more reliable.
At the very least, they wouldn’t resort to biochemical weapons for genocide at the drop of a hat.
The two Great Shamans from Chichen Itza City and Uxmal City, although both aware of Byron’s true identity, could not possibly expose him at this ti.
Rather, seeing Byron in this state made their hearts even more exhilarated.
It showed that this "Child of Prophecy" had not only deeply bound himself to the Tenor People, a native group, but it also indicated his true intention to diligently manage this overseas fiefdom.
With Byron’s arrival, justice, fairness, wealth, knowledge, and civilization all followed.
There was hope for their future!
Exchanging a subconscious glance, they too bowed deeply, devoutly crying out,
"My lord!"
Seeing the natives all kneeling, Byron nodded and, commanding the wild winds, descended from the sky.
He floated down gracefully like a leaf before the massive lizard, fixing his gaze on his prize: a Fourth Order creature.
At his feet, a faint yet particularly bright circle of blood blossod, as if sothing invisible twisted and writhed within a three-ter radius around him.
The edge of the blood circle rely approached the massive lizard’s corpse. With a few ’SLURP! SLURP!’ sounds, like drinking water, the enveloped parts of the body instantly shriveled.
Not just the blood; it seed even the flesh was being siphoned away by sothing intangible.
As the blood and flesh passed through these unseen entities, a mass of pale red tentacles faintly appeared, returning to their invisible state once the blood and flesh had moved on.
It was Byron’s [Vampire’s Touch]!
One of the biggest benefits of his successful transformation into a [Night Demon Prince], and the complete conversion of his blood into Blood of Transformation, was that he was no longer a picky eater.
Humans could be converted into Blood of Transformation. Various non-humans could also have their nutrients drawn out by [Vampire’s Touch], then converted by Byron himself into Blood of Transformation.
There would be absolutely no waste.
Moreover, the Dragon Lizard Warriors that ford the five dragon heads were at least Third Order. Although they weren’t qualified for the [Wild Hunt Servant] position, they could be harvested as a batch of high-quality fuel for unleashing the [Wild Hunt Knights].
Together with the treasures extracted, it was a windfall from a single battle.
However, just as Byron was preparing to harvest their souls, he suddenly let out a light sound of surprise, "Huh?"
He discovered that he had just pulled the souls of the Dragon Lizard Warriors, entangled like twists of fried dough, from the massive lizard’s body.
Before he could even place them into the Mad Hunt Legion, he inadvertently activated Crystal Skull Number One—which also happened to be the Authority attached to his own skull—[Heaven in the Mind].
It could also go by a more formal na: [Flower Mountain Celestial Kingdom].
As is well known, nearly every culture’s mythology and legends include descriptions of the afterlife for human souls.
For example, the Bayfolk’s [Valhalla · Hall of the Slain], the Creator’s Church’s Heaven/Hell, and the Holy Spirit Teachings of the West Coast’s Paradise/Inferno...
All of these places genuinely exist and are major clients for the soul-ferrying Ghost Ships.
Byron and Violet had even once personally plunged Redbeard Edward—who possessed an Undying Body through practicing [Black Sorcery · Soul-hiding Casket]—into Valhalla’s third layer, the Land of Night.
As for the afterlife in Taya civilization, it is called the [Flower Mountain Celestial Kingdom].
Because at its core is a massive mountain range called Flower Mountain, and one of its most important entrances is within the cranium of Crystal Skull Number One.
