Her movents were quick, and under the table, no one noticed.
Yan Weiyang and Zhang Fanfan chatted while discreetly keeping an eye on Xia Weibao, their peripheral vision occasionally landing on her bag.
Xia Weibao sneered inwardly and suddenly stood up.
The two, who were chatting, exchanged a glance, and Yan Weiyang quickly gave Zhang Fanfan a look.
Zhang Fanfan understood and asked with a smile, "Miss Xia, where are you going?"
Xia Weibao replied nonchalantly, "It’s too stuffy, I’m going out for a walk."
Zhang Fanfan naturally wouldn’t let her leave; otherwise, how could this scene play out?
So she said awkwardly, "Miss Xia, do you find our hospitality lacking, so you don’t want to sit with us?"
"Who are you?" Xia Weibao suddenly asked.
Zhang Fanfan choked for a mont before she rembered that Xia Weibao indeed didn’t know her.
"I’m Zhang Fanfan, the eldest daughter of the Zhang family."
"Oh, so you’re the eldest daughter of the Zhang family. If I rember correctly, this is the Fang family’s banquet, isn’t it the host’s place to apologize for poor hospitality?"
Zhang Fanfan’s face stiffened, instantly turning cold.
"If there’s nothing else, I’ll be leaving now."
Seeing her about to leave, Yan Weiyang quickly spoke up, "Miss Xia, Fanfan ans that we’re all friends chatting together. If you suddenly leave, others might think she’s not welcoming you."
"Chatting together? Miss Yan, it seems like it’s always been you chatting, right? I’m not familiar with you all, so why should I stay?
Could you not add so much drama for yourself? Not to ntion no one has even noticed our table. Even if they did, it’s normal for to leave, isn’t it? Miss Yan, is there perhaps another reason you insist on keeping here?"
Her words, delivered with an ambiguous smile, left no room for courtesy, successfully changing Yan Weiyang’s expression.
Nobody had really noticed them before, but now they attracted quite a few gazes.
Yan Weiyang’s face showed a hint of embarrassnt, but she forced a smile, "Miss Xia, I was just offering an explanation for Fanfan. Why be so aggressive?"
"I’m aggressive?" Xia Weibao snorted, "I don’t quite understand this. I was looking for Yuexian in the first place; she hasn’t said anything, and yet you as an outsider suddenly put this on my head, and I’m not allowed to question my doubts?"
Yan Weiyang choked again, her forced smile hard to maintain.
She hadn’t expected Xia Weibao to give her absolutely no face.
Yan Yuexian tilted her head, confused about the current situation.
Why had this suddenly turned into an argunt?
The argunt seed inexplicable; she didn’t even know what the three were talking about.
"Yuexian."
At this mont, Gong Sirui’s voice ca from behind, breaking the bizarre deadlock.
Yan Yuexian turned her head and smiled sweetly at Gong Sirui, "Brother Rui."
Gong Sirui walked up to her, then frowned. Why did he feel she was different today?
