Xia Weibao had already observed his symptoms before she spoke.
“I am a doctor.”
The man was stunned, a glimr of hope appearing in his eyes, but it quickly turned to despondency.
“You aren’t soone sent from above, are you?”
Those people sent from above were all afraid of death, armored head to toe.
But this person in front of him was only wearing an ordinary White outfit and likely wasn’t one of them.

The man looked at her suspiciously.

The sick from a few neighboring houses, seeing a stranger co and seemingly treating illnesses, all ca out despite their suffering.

Xia Weibao ignored them and focused on taking the pulse.
Her brow furrowed tightly, this pulse was far too chaotic.
Glancing at the man’s neck, she was silent for a while, “How long have you been infected with the plague?”
“I got infected last night.”
“Around what ti?”
“I felt very itchy by six in the evening, then I started to develop pustules, and bloodstreaks began to appear on my feet.”
Xia Weibao looked towards the other few people, all were patients.
She also glanced at a corpse not far away, its entire body covered in bloodstreaks and the pustules on its face had burst, looking quite disgusting.
“How long after they got infected did they die?”
“About twenty-eight hours.”
Xia Weibao nodded, then pointed to one of the sick who didn’t seem to be as seriously ill, “When did you start to feel infected?”
“It began to itch around noon, twelve o’clock.”
“Pull up your trouser leg for to see.”
The man was perplexed, but did so nonetheless.
Now, Xia Weibao was the only person who had entered the village, and she was a doctor.
Though hope was slim, it was their only hope.
Xia Weibao looked over, and after seeing a few others, she roughly understood.
The infection in these people started from the feet, then slowly spread upwards, and when the red bloodstreaks reached the brain, death ensued.
Although she hadn’t found a solution yet, prevention should be possible.
“Where is your village chief? I need to arrange so things now and require your cooperation.”
The others all looked at her numbly.
Those who were infected were like they had been marked by the reaper, devoid of any Vitality.
Such gazes made Xia Weibao’s heart ache.
