Food was down, next was clothing.

If the apocalypse happened, then the weather they would experience was really...vairable. To summarize, she had to prepare for all kinds of weather—and at maximum difficulty levels.

Fortunately, even without looking at the internet, Naia knew how to handle these things, sotis just due to her own suppositions. Things regarding survival, even if she hadn’t experienced it herself, ca almost intuitively for her.

The first disaster after the impact— which was instantaneous and too difficult to defend against—would be the gastorms, which lasted a few weeks, depending on where one lived.

The extre storm was the level wherein the current ’disaster-level’ storms would seem like child’s play. This was the type of storm with winds that could blow people away, and so tornadoes could dismantle concrete buildings.

While they’d be helpless against the brute force of nature, what they could do was increase their chances. Other than finding a good hiding spot, one was to wear things that were useful for impact protection while giving hands-free mobility, so they could hold on to things.

For this, she bought a few pairs of long-sleeved durable shirts to protect from debris, thick pants, rain jackets, sturdy boots (with steel or composite toes), and protection equipnt like gloves, helts, and goggles.

Next was the volcanic winter. Here, the goal was to stay dry, trap heat, and block winds. In this weather, one had to avoid cotton as the base layer because it could trap moisture, which could lead to hypothermia.

There should be at least three layers of clothing for each ti: The base, the mid-layer (insulation), and an outer layer serving as the windproof and waterproof shell. She would buy a few sets for each, and a few more for an extra layer.

She would also buy thermal hats, insulated gloves, thick wool socks, waterproof boots, hand warrs, snow goggles, and so on. Ergency thermal blankets were also necessary here.

Oh, since she was in this line of thought, she decided to buy fire blankets as well, in case they encountered fires, which would be fairly common during and right after the impact.

After that was the rebound heating, including flooding and extre heat.

For the extre heat, assuming one was still alive, one just needed the clothing to be breathable. She’d buy wide-brim hats, UV protection glasses, sunscreen, and so on. Electrolyte drinks would also be extrely important at this ti.

Other than these, she also prepared survival kits and camping gear. This was sothing more familiar to her, as she had been sent to dangerous missions outside the base since she was young. Whether they were tents, sleeping mats, flashlights, or so on, she’d get a few sets of them. They took a bit of space, though, so she didn’t dare take in too many.

She also needed to consider transportation, which...she didn’t have funds for yet unless she used the old man’s funds.

She’d buy motorcycles, at least. She might also get a military-grade car, if she could get one, and/or an RV.

She would need them customized, too, and she wondered how much she’d have left even if she risked everything and used the old man’s funds. She should choose the hybrid kind, so she could use fuel or solar energy to keep them running.

During the cryogenic winter, there would be days on end when it would be completely dark, and there would be no sun. In those days, if one didn’t have batteries, then solar panels might not have been of much use.

She would also have to stock up on the oil, fuel, and lubricants as well. She would buy a few stackable boxes so she could take advantage of the space’s high ceilings as well.

She could buy the motorcycles up front, and they could even fit in her space. For the modified car and/or the RV, it would take a while, so she just paid the deposit. Hopefully, she’d find a way to start with that as soon as possible.

She listed to buy high-end solar power chargers and batteries so she could use electricity whenever. While the power of the sun was a bit weaker in the apocalypse, especially during the winter, it was still there for the most part.

She’d just have to charge a bit longer than it was designed for. She would not bother with generators powered by fuel. Fuel was such a finite resource, and her space (and her wallet) wasn’t big enough for her to spend on tons of it.

She would also take in tools and repair items like hand tools (non-electric and electric), power tools, portable welding equipnt, lubricants, and so on.

A lot of things after the apocalypse would be DIY. She wasn’t an expert in this (Kael was), but she could at least get people to do repairs for her.

Like most things, she couldn’t take too many of these to save on space. Anyway, hopefully, since they were not consumables, if her own broke, she could find soone else’s to borrow, or find abandoned shops with it.

As for weapons, she could only go with cold weapons for now.

Their country did not allow gun possession, which kept them safe until now, but not for long. Sadly, she did not have connections to get hot weapons, so she could only settle for cold ones. The ones in this town weren’t very good, so she’d try her luck at a city on a later date.

Traditional weapons, on their own, didn’t have much effect on the aliens, but they could at least be used to defend against fellow humans.

The apocalypse would, inevitably, awaken the darkness in many humans. How aningless a death was it to die under the greed of people that should’ve been on the sa side?

Not to ntion...

Naia grabbed a bread knife and surrounded it with her ability. She threw it to the side, directly at the concrete wall. The bread knife actually embedded into the wall by a few inches.

Naia smiled in approval. She still had this basic manifestation of her ability, so she was confident she would not be bullied when the Fall arrived.
