Amber City
Houser Cerra, a.k.a. sperm donor, was currently apprehended by the police and was even handcuffed in public!
It happened just tonight, as the bureaucracy, as well as the consolidation of evidence, still needed a bit of ti to handle.
He was now having a party at his ho at the ti, celebrating his daughter’s 19th birthday.
This ant that all of their acquaintances were there to see the scandal!!
It started out to be such a posh activity. They even dared to invite beyond their stature, like the mayor, and invited so people of the old rich families in the city! Even if a few young representatives actually ca by, the family had been smug.
The Cerra Family was considered to be nouveau riche, having only gotten money in less than two decades. Houser’s ambition was to gain power and higher connections.
Now, look! Squads of policen actually ca, grabbed him, and shoved him to the table (because he fought back, not that he rembered this), right in front of his special guests!
His youngest son, fifteen-year-old Pierre, ’wisely’ fought as well. "Let my dad go!" he yelled, though it was mostly because his crush was in the room.
Not only was his father’s humiliation a reflection of his, Pierre also had the main character syndro, so anyone against him was a bad guy. Therefore, in his mind, he was fighting to show his heroic side to his crush.
Suffice it to say, he was also roughshodded, face smack at the beef and broccoli dish he hated so much.
The two won in the family flushed in sha, but they were naturally more concerned about the man’s situation. After all, if he fell, they would also fall! They followed after him and the policen, hoping to get a glean over the situation and fix it as soon as possible!
They also wanted to get out of the room, outside the people’s judgntal stares! Their bodies were heating up in embarrassnt, feeling physical pain from the sha.
Houser’s wife, Ginna, couldn’t take it and demanded answers. "Why is my husband being detained? Don’t we have the right to know? We are no longer a fascist country!"
Their eldest daughter, Carina, paled and wanted to stop her mother, but it was too late. The Policeman naturally could not allow their na to be sared and answered her frankly.
"Murder. He is the pri suspect to a murder in Acero Town. We already have an arrest warrant. Would you like to see?"
Gasps echoed all over the ballroom, and the family literally wanted to bury themselves under the floor.
Murder!
Houser Cerra was being arrested for murder!
If word of this went out—and it likely would—their stock prices would plumt, and a lot of the projects might be put on hold! Considering the investnts involved, they could go bankrupt!
Even if he was exonerated later, which would take a long ti, they would still be laughed at!
Look! They hadn’t even left the house yet, and so people were already looking at them like they were clowns!
Bitches!
Ginna rembered the group of won. They were shopping together just yesterday, and she treated them with so gems and pearls! Now they were looking at them with schadenfreude! Bitches, bitches!
"Oh dear, Ginna! My husband has a law firm, I’ll send you our best lawyers! You know what my husband specializes in!"
The woman’s husband specializes in representing mob bosses, wealthy businessn in grey areas, and so on.
Translation: He looks guilty! So guilty! You’ll need the best lawyers!
"Oh my goodness! Are the police blind? How dare they take away such an affluent man?! I’ll contact my husband. We’ll find out the details of this soon!"
Translation: I’ll find out the details! Our friends would love the scoop!
Ginna gritted her teeth, but her face remained smiling, thanking them for their concern.
In her mind, however, she was already cursing them. So many bitches in the world!
Carina was not much different, though a bit milder. Unlike her mother, Carina had a fairly good image among her peers. Combined with her delicate beauty and willowy stature, people tend to want to protect her.
"We will look into it, Carina," one of the young n said, looking at her in concern. "Your father will not be punished unjustly."
This was the son of the police superintendent. He didn’t have a very handso face, but there was indeed so sense of righteousness about him.
She received similar words from a few other n. However, if one was sharp enough, one could hear the relative safe distance. That was to say, they would help—but only if her father was innocent.
"Thank you..." Carina sobbed, looking at them with glassy eyes, though calling them incompetent in her mind.
However, this genuine show of concern was only the case with n. Won knew won, after all, and these peers—many of whom have lost their boyfriends to her—easily jumped into the ’concerned’ bandwagon!
"Carina..." one of the girls said, holding her arm. "Don’t worry too much! I’m sure everything will be fine. If you’ll ever need a place to stay, my doors are open, okay?"
Translation: You could beco holess soon. Wanna bet?
A curvaceous lady also walked over, her eyes looking at Carina’s ’pure’ and pitiful appearance. "If you ever need to borrow money, just ask. A lot of us, especially the gentlen, will be willing to open our wallets as long as you ask."
Translation: You’ll probably go broke, but it’s okay. A lot of n will be willing to take you in.
Houser and his family were not good people. Naturally, their so-called friends were unlikely genuine ones. Seeing that they were in trouble, most had the attitude of watching the show.
There were even those who had feuds with them, and they didn’t even bother being tactful.
"What do you expect from a man who lived off a woman, and then threw her away after using her?"
"HAHA. I bet there are more cases."
"To be honest, they might buy his way through," another said. "It’s not the first ti." And it wasn’t even the third ti. The most recent one was Pierre’s hit-and-run accident.
At 15, he had illegally driven a sports car, hit a person, caused them to beco disabled, but was andering around like a playboy three days later.
More than that, the ntion of Houser’s late wife was the most sensitive topic. It was not because he loved the woman, but anything he accomplished would always be stained by her!
It was an open secret in their circle. Everyone knew that Houser’s first wife was the actual brains behind the company’s success.
Houser whipped his head back to the crowd, making the others flinch. "YOU!" Houser scread. "I knew you’re no good!! I will rember this!"
"You! You! And You!" he scread, face beet red. "You were just begging for deals last night! How dare you!!"
It was as if openly threatening people would make the humiliation lessen.
Spoiler: It did not.
The Policen did not have that much patience, literally shoving him out the door. "Enough! If you don’t want to get more charges under your nose, get a move on!"
Houser was not reconciled! But he could only be manhandled.
No matter how much he cursed, however, he was destined to be humiliated today.
And not just in the room.
After all, soone happened to be livestreaming.
