Motorcycles, trucks, and vans ford a long convoy moving through the pouring rain, the loud thunder even drowning out the honking of cars, as if about to engulf everything.
Raindrops as big as beans were hitting the car windows noisily, the chaotic water curtain blending the dazzling tail lights into halos, at a glance, it seed to stretch a band of light across the street.
But this light band ca to a halt on the road, blocking the entire street completely.
Clang.
A van opened its door, the people inside ignored the pouring rain as they walked out, letting the rain fall on them, silently taking rifles from the hands of the people behind them.
As if receiving a signal, the cars blocking the street began to open their doors one by one.
One
Two
Three...
Until the entire street was crowded with heads, each wearing different styles of clothing.
In the rain at night, there were mbers of the Tiger Claw Gang with tattoos faintly glowing.
mbers of the Sixth Street Gang wearing distorted United States flags.
The Valentino Gang, adorned in gold and silver.
mbers with steroid-induced pointy heads.
And a motley mix of other large and small gangs.
At a glance, there were at least hundreds of them.
Almost half of Night City's gangs were gathered here.
No wonder, the players have offended too many gangs recently, raiding their narcotics production plants, smashing their hideouts, robbing their illegal prosthetic stockpiles, even getting caught in traps on the street, the financial losses to each gang combined could reach tens of millions of Euro-Dollar!
Cutting off soone's financial sources is like killing their parents, thus admiration or not, you have to die.
So their target was only one.
It was the three-story office across the street.
However, they did not imdiately open fire, a few arrogant young thugs erged from the crowd, they looked like they weren't even of age, swaggering towards the bar empty-handed.
A young mber, confused, asked the leader leaning on the passenger seat
"Boss, we've brought so many guys, why not just shoot the bastards in the bar, save us the trouble."
"You know nothing."
The middle-aged thug in the passenger seat turned back and glanced at the young mber
"The firewall and hackers of this company are notoriously difficult to deal with, even the Voodoo Gang suffered major losses at their hands. If you don't want your brain to be fried before entering the door, obediently wait here for the hacker to strike first."
Looking at the ignorantly brave young mbers entering the bar, the middle-aged thug showed a hint of pity in his eyes.
Once, he was one of those youthfully exuberant, with blood and loyalty, believing he could fight his way up, beco the boss and gain respect.
If he were still young, he might have gone to the Watson District to help out that night.
But today, he understands everything.
This world is just like that, the good always die up front.

The bar door was pushed open, and a dozen unruly thugs swaggered in.
The disturbance outside had already caught the attention of players and rcenaries inside the bar, each displaying different expressions.
The leading young thug had an air of arrogance, pointing skyward with his nose, he yelled at the rcenaries who put down their glasses
"Sixth Street Gang business, all idlers get the hell out."
So rcenaries wanted to retaliate, show these clueless guys a thing or two, but were quickly held back by their companions.
After all, the endless gang presence outside already indicated the seriousness of the situation.
If anyone acted now, they would surely be added to the reckoning list.
The young thug casually pushed aside a rcenary blocking his way
"Move aside, you have no business here anymore."
They were underage mbers who just joined the gang, driven by their reckless brains, they truly had no fear of death, otherwise they wouldn't have been arranged by their superiors to do such a thing.
But more and more rcenaries stood up, coldly staring at these thugs.
Everyone here survived by licking blood off their blades, having sowhat of a temper, and they ca here out of respect for the reputation, the arrogance of the people before them lit their anger.
The thugs realized their arrogance did not instill fear in these people, they started feeling a bit anxious.
But then, a young man's voice suddenly ca over the bar's speakers
"Ladies and gentlen, the bar is now closing, kindly leave quickly to avoid any unnecessary injuries."
A rcenary slapped the table and stood up
"What are we afraid of? If anyone dares co, we'll just kill them, we won Huang Ban, are we scared of them?"
Soone imdiately chid in: "Exactly, Boss, let us take our guns back and fight them!"
Many people here fought in that rcenary battle, and they are also regulars at the bar now.
Rationally, the matter of the bar has nothing to do with the guests, but unexpectedly they all were willing to help now.
A few seconds later, two doors opened simultaneously.
One leading outside and the other to the weapons storage room, the intention was clear.
"Tonight is my personal vendetta with them, so regardless of whether you choose to leave or stay, you will forever be distinguished guests of this bar, and its doors will always be open to you in the future."
