Having mixed around in Night City for so long, players might not be completely clueless about the relationships and secret codes between gangs and citizens, but they definitely know their way around.
Plus, Dog Town is a lot ssier than Night City outside the walls, with only the Netherworld Dog maintaining basic order. Every local gang leader acts arrogant, eager to tattoo which faction and territory they belong to on their forehead.
The bases even occupy residential buildings for renovations openly in broad daylight.
So much so that players found the largest Cleaner base in Dog Town without breaking a sweat.
It's a large warehouse located southeast of the Long Beach Waste Yard, surrounded by unfinished skyscrapers, and a few tower cranes can even be seen standing among them.
Several rescue supply vehicles marked with the red cross are parked at the entrance, along with a large number of Cleaner goons guarding the place.
Wildman squatted in a distant building, observing every move inside the base through binoculars.
"We should have seen this coming, if these really were rescue supplies, the prices in Dog Town wouldn't be that exorbitant."
"These guys are actually using vehicles with red cross markings, leveraging the na of rescue supplies to smuggle in and out of Dog Town, they're wicked enough to drool."
"How do you think those people managed to wear earrings worth 20 million yuan? I've heard so high-end goods go through the northern stadium route."
Brother Ni laughed slyly beside him.
"Heh heh, malicious governance, it's incredible the ga officials aren't worried about the authorities knocking on their door."
Wildman: "If the authorities could track down the ga officials, we wouldn't be waiting till now."
"If they really did find out, I'd have to thank their ancestors for eight generations."
Players aren't fools; everyone knows by now there's sothing fishy about this ga's origins, but so what? They only need to play; everything else is for the higher-ups to worry about.
It wouldn't be like a cyber ghost suddenly appears and locks the exit button, threatening to blow whoever dares cut the power, right?
Brother Ni laughed heartily: "Then what do you say? Should we just storm in?"
Wildman: "Storming in isn't the solution. This doesn't fit our expected situation. Killing them might not get us the smuggling pass."
The players initially thought the Cleaner had so secret smuggling routes to quietly move goods into Dog Town, but unexpectedly, they took the main gate.
Netherworld Dog surely knows about this but probably turns a blind eye to avoid conflict with the Cleaner.
But can the players use this route?
Typically not, unless they take down the Netherworld Dog with them. But that's clearly not within their capability right now.
Wildman pondered for a mont, then said, "For this smuggling issue, I reckon we need to find the BOSS for a solution, see if we can strike a deal with Netherworld Dog."
"But that has nothing to do with the Cleaner, so we still need to take them out."
He used binoculars to overlook the Cleaner base layout, simultaneously simulating possible tactics in his mind.
Those entering Dog Town are mostly veteran players, so combat power isn't a major concern.
While they can't beco lone guns blazing straight through the front door like legends, there's still quite a number of them.
The Cleaners never expected anyone to dare attack the base, nor did they consider putting a roof over it, so most of their setup is clearly visible from Wildman's vantage point.
"There's a lot of heavy weaponry inside, facing it head-on is quite pressuring, short-term, it might be hard to take down, plus if we make a move here, surrounding Cleaners will probably rush to help, better call everyone over, get the gear ready, this will be a tough battle."
"Also, make sure to keep them low profile, don't alert the wandering Cleaners nearby, it'd add unnecessary hassle."
Smuggling is the affair of a handful of players; Wildman can't just stir the pot making it an open secret, with dozens there's considerable profit to share, but if expanded to hundreds or thousands, they'd just get scraps.
Perhaps in the future, when the industry expands, more players can be brought in, but not now.
This ti it's purely about uprooting a major Cleaner base.

Compared to the old standard skin cockroach suit, before entering Dog Town, the Truth Departnt specially commissioned a studio to make a white democratic official outfit.
The visor-style helt exudes authority, the scarlet photoelectric goggles eerily daunting, being watched by those eyes feels like being stared at by sothing terrifying, sending shivers down the spine.
Coupled with the fitted coat-style jacket and cape, easily reminds one of an oil-free profession.
Gestapo
The Truth Departnt is now fully imrsed in the gaming experience, just short of raising a hand and shouting—[Sieg Heil].
Wildman: "This battle is quite tricky."
The Truth Departnt spoke loudly: "Soldiers from Super Earth never fear sacrifice."
Goodness, talking sacrifice when not even fighting yet.
He lowered his voice and continued, "But of course, their sacrifice must be worthwhile."
"Tch..."
Wildman didn't know if the Truth Departnt was revealing its nature or simply performing too passionately.
"No wonder people say you Fujian people love to ss with your own kind."
"Don't talk nonsense."
The Truth Departnt emphasized
"I have nothing to do with those telecom fraudsters, those bastards purely tarnish our Minnan region's reputation."
