"Oh god, look, the robots created by Kurt Hansen seem to have lost control. They’re moving toward the city center."

"Horizon Corporation must take responsibility for this. They were the ones who provoked Kurt Hansen, and now they can’t stop these mad robots, letting these damn pieces of scrap destroy people’s property on the streets!"

"What? A breaking report, these robots may have been affected by a rogue AI!"

"They don’t seem to intend to attack pedestrians. Where could these chanical beasts be heading? Stay tuned to Channel 54; I’ll be following these beasts that have burst out of their cage."

Due to so company’s dia influence, no news station has pointed out that these robots once belonged to Military Technology.

However, the NCPD has done sothing useful this ti. Maybe because the incident area is close to the city center, their patrol cars are clearing the way, frantically driving people off the streets, telling them to stay ho to avoid getting killed by the approaching machine army.

At the sa ti, they are blocking intersections with patrol cars and armored vehicles to set up a defense line, trying to stop this rampaging herd of beasts. Unfortunately, the old second-hand guns they bought from Dog Town’s Netherworld Dog are no match against robots. Coming to the streets is already their best effort.

Luckily, the NCPD has a trump card. The Anti-Terrorism Squad, which operates only when called upon, is their last resort.

Seven or eight hovercars, mounted with .50 caliber machine guns, hovered over the streets. The sound of large-caliber bullets rattled the ground, each shot leaving a bowl-sized crater on the surface; within a matter of seconds, the shell casings almost covered the street below.

But Chira wouldn’t give in to these guys.

"I’m locked on! Evasion! Evasion!"

"Quick, ascend!"

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh

Several missiles were fired, and two hovercars that didn’t evade in ti were hit, swaying as they crashed toward the ground.

Gunman Foster, wielding an Achilles, stood on the edge of the hovercar, looking down at the Chiras below, and asked gruffly,

"Can we try hacking in to disable it? Even if just for a few seconds to buy ti."

Jasper replied irritably,

"That’s a rogue AI. If our ICE can fend off its program attack, we’ll be lucky. Hacking in? Are you keen on attending my funeral?"

Foster: "Damn Kurt Hansen, I knew he was up to no good hiding in Dog Town."

Faye Lasso: "Military Technology has sent over the schematics for Chira. Its weak points are the joints and exhaust ports. Disabling three legs will incapacitate it."

Escher: "That’s right, so who’s going to show how to get close?"

Everyone knows where this thing’s weak points are, the problem is there are so many Hellhounds around it that aren’t just for show.

"Those companies’ reinforcents are about to arrive."

"Never mind that, we can’t just sit here and watch."

Foster jumped off the hovercar with his gun, followed by the other three one after another.

Those police with handguns and rifles had beco a burden and were unqualified to join this battle. They could only retreat from the battlefield one after another, responsible for evacuating the crowd.

In just a few minutes, Military Technology, Huang Ban, Trauma Team, Kangtao, and other companies sent squad after squad of power armor units to participate in the battle. Even the original weapon ban was ignored.

With power armor in various colors paired with large-caliber destructive weapons, they clashed with the machine units in the streets. Occasionally, a high-temperature rainbow beam swept past, followed by a rain of rockets, turning the streets into ruins with brute force.

On the hill in Dog Town, three 120-wheeled self-propelled mortars were adjusting their angles, but the firing data and steering had nothing to do with the Netherworld Dog soldiers. A few Hellhounds had already connected to the artillery’s ballistic computer, uploading sensor data and adjusting the firing paraters.

Bang, bang, bang!

The automatic self-propelled artillery fired in succession, each gun achieving a shocking rate of six shells in 15 seconds. The ground’s arm-thick shell casings were still emitting high-temperature steam when the shells crossed the sky, whistling as they smashed into downtown streets and the tops of skyscrapers.

This might be the first ti in over a decade that Night City’s center has suffered such a heavy blow. When the first shell landed at the target point, the blast wave shattered all the surrounding building glass, and there was no need to worry about harming civilians.

Since the Information and Fire Integration requires precision, detect and destroy, AI accomplishing this even more efficiently and perfectly than humans. By comparison, slow advancing barrages and infantry-artillery coordination have beco outdated and obsolete tactics.

Six power armor units belonging to Military Technology and Huang Ban were surrounded by a dozen shells on the spot, instantly destroyed without a chance to evade.

"Damn Kurt Hansen, he shouldn’t have been allowed to continue living in this world!"

Seeing their side suffering losses, tris felt like he had been slapped in the face, both painful and ironic.

"Imdiately notify Horizon Corporation. I want them to destroy that artillery position at all costs!"

If there were counter-battery radars, when shells fly through the radar field, the precise position of the artillery would be accurately reverse-calculated by the radar and then be destroyed by enemy artillery reverse firing.

This is why the Wildman refused to let the Mongolian Toplaner open fire first; he couldn’t confirm whether the other side had similar technology and could only let the players act as bait to counter-strike afterward.

Now, although the players don’t have the artillery reconnaissance positioning radar, Dog Town is such a small place. Once you fire, everyone in town knows where you are, not to ntion the drones.
