Lin Miao patted Stead Bun on the shoulder, and in the typical motivational tone of an NPC, he pumped him up.
"My compatriots, saving this rotten world requires your strength. I believe you can complete the mission."
"Leave it to !"
Encouraged, Stead Bun pumped his fist energetically, filled with high morale.
"As for the money, you don’t have to worry, boss. Our studio is well-funded."
Apart from custom weapon orders from players, Stead Bun also took on a large number of orders for weapon firing and industrial design from Lin Miao. Her studio was responsible for producing prototypes and streamlining their parts. Lin Miao wasn’t stingy with her patents, and every exoskeleton, robot, or gun sold netted Stead Bun Studio a 10% profit.
Stead Bun’s MT-1/3 is a best-selling high-end item among players, with impressive sales figures, and the doorfra robots, due to their design, fit well in many scenarios, making their foreign trade sales quite good too.
She can now be said to be the richest player in the entire ga, without exception. She’s very willing to invest money in project research and developnt because, for her, it’s a way to achieve self-worth and gain recognition from others. Ga Coins, once they’re gone, they’re gone.
Looking at the spirited Stead Bun, Lin Miao couldn’t help but feel emotional.
The only self-funded workers in the world might be these people in front of him. People from other company projects are always thinking about pocketing a bit from the project budget for themselves. Dream on?
They’re all parasites! Look at these guys!
"Good, very spirited! In the future, when humanity is restored, your nas will surely be on the monunt, and your contributions will be rembered forever by society!"
"Go for it."
"Go for it!" *N
Lin Miao went around shaking hands with the working players, both parties smiling warmly. If a photo were taken, it would have no problem being used as propaganda on the Korean Peninsula.
Just that by then, it would be a ss, and the Earth probably couldn’t handle it.
And in the arms factory, besides the Stead Bun Studio team, there was another group of staff. Though they couldn’t take on research projects like Stead Bun, they could do things that Stead Bun couldn’t.
That is logistics.
And the person in charge of logistics was none other than Mitch.
This balding middle-aged man was scratching his head in front of a multi-legged walker ch, causing the little hair he had left to fall out even more.
As a logistics soldier during the Unified War, Mitch was very skilled in vehicle repair. But when he took on Lin Miao’s task and ca here to fix the vehicles, seeing the battle-damaged Great Mount Pill gave him quite a scare.
He didn’t expect Lin Miao to capture Huang Ban’s main battle weapon, let alone that he would be asked to fix such high-tech stuff.
Damn, he was just a tank logistics crew mber before.
But it’s not all bad news. The guys that Lin Miao sent over to assist him are growing rapidly, taking a lot of pressure off of him. Most things they pick up almost instantly.
While the logistics team of Netherworld Dog in Dog Town had also been captured by the players, he didn’t want these guys taking over internal affairs before they were ideologically reford.
"The walking stabilization coordination system still has issues. I suspect the frequency of the opto-couplers is off. I’ll adjust it and try again. If it doesn’t work, we’ll switch to another model."
Despite the other being covered in machine oil, Lin Miao went over and put his arm around the old man’s shoulder.
"Buddy, looks like your progress is pretty good. When can this thing start running? My guys in Dog Town got beaten up badly by Chiras from Military Technology, and they didn’t even get to keep a leg."
Saying this, he pulled a box of cigarettes he didn’t smoke from his bag, pulled one out, and placed it before Mitch.
"Right now, my entire fortune is riding on you, old friend."
Seeing it was Lin Miao, Mitch chuckled and lit the cigarette.
"Dock the cost from your account."
Smoking was forbidden in the arms factory, but for soone used to wandering freely in Adcardo, the wall slogans certainly wouldn’t constrain him, especially when the boss gave the cigarettes.
After taking a puff, Mitch’s tone beca sowhat serious.
"I heard about what happened in the city. Luckily your people didn’t stubbornly fight to the death with those two Chiras; otherwise, there would’ve been far more casualties."
"During the Unified War, these things used to operate in teams of three, paired with over a dozen tanks as an armored assault unit, capable of punching through a significant portion of a defensive line in one go. This ti you were lucky that those damned things’ target wasn’t you; otherwise, at least hundreds more would have died."
Having watched the footage leaked from Dog Town, a chill ran through Mitch’s heart. The battlefield power of thousands of Hellhounds paired with Chiras in city streets was beyond absurd, with their mutual coordination far surpassing that of typical military units.
A suppression unit of more than a dozen companies and 200-plus Power Armors suffered over half damage before they managed to take down this rampaging rebellion apparatus. If it were any other small city or country, they’d be steamrolled before they even put up a fight.
Lin Miao chuckled sheepishly.
"Well, then I should thank that wandering AI for sparing my life."
If that rogue AI was determined to fight the players to the end in Dog Town, Lin Miao would have had Lucy take it down before causing too many more casualties.
The wandering AI isn’t human; it connects to the Chiras and Hellhounds via signal equipnt through the old network and can’t be physically disconnected. Once severed, those robots would all be paralyzed on site.
For Lin Miao, taking it down would just be a matter of a thought. It’s rely left alive for players to level up on.
