[Please note that dungeon rules must be filled in accordance with relevant regulations and cannot exceed the dungeon’s own grade when setting rules. The dungeon holder may, based on participation in the dungeon, set rules according to the dungeon’s inherent characteristics to ensure smooth gaplay without completely closing off the ga. Additionally, once rules are successfully established, the dungeon holder must also abide by them.]
[Rules require approval from the ga.]
This advance notice had already been seen by Xu Huo before. Although ti had been short last ti, he had still verified so aspects of the ga rules.
The rules filled in had to relate to the dungeon’s content, and the tasks must also be related. Moreover, it was impossible to completely block the path to clearing, and in fact, it couldn’t be blocked entirely because, after the rules were established, the ga would impose restrictions on the dungeon holder.
The three tasks he had set during the previous dungeon opening were: “Undergo at least one psychological treatnt,” “Kill one doctor,” and “Find the hospital’s main entrance.”
The first two tasks had so flexibility—for instance, under his influence, the hospital would not be forced by the ga to have a specific doctor designated for psychological treatnt, nor would there be a specific doctor whose death allowed clearing the second task. However, the “hospital’s main entrance” did exist; the ga had set a fixed main entrance located at the front door of the hospital building, but in the players’ eyes, this “main entrance” had already been swapped by him.
[During the current dungeon upgrade process, the Seventeenth Hospital has added the Director’s Office, Psychological Treatnt Room, Pathology Room, Infectious Disease Observation Floor, Pathogen Sample Storage, and Infectious Disease Isolation Building. Please have the dungeon holder fill in the ga rules as soon as possible.]
The upgrade was not yet complete, but Xu Huo could already see the floor plan of the Seventeenth Hospital. The basic layout of the first building remained unchanged, with only the corresponding floors added. The first and second floors had beco offices, lounges, eting rooms, and security workrooms.
The third to sixth floors were general wards, while the seventh, eighth, and ninth floors were locked wards. Each of these floors had corresponding treatnt rooms. Half of the tenth floor was the Director’s work and living area, and the rooftop was a therapeutic garden.
However, the Director’s Office and Psychological Treatnt Room were also present in the two buildings behind, located on their top floors.
The second building housed the Pathology Room, Observation Floor, and Sample Storage. These three areas actually didn’t take up the entire building; many rooms were sealed with tal doors marked with “Danger—Do Not Enter” signs.
The entire exterior of the third building was reinforced with an electric tal sh. The entrance had triple checkpoints, and a few wards inside were already contaminated, likely from the pathogens left behind by Hugo earlier, now transferred to Building Three.
Xu Huo pondered briefly before writing new tasks on the authorization form:
[① Undergo at least one psychological treatnt.]
[② Help the Director with a small matter.]
[③ Clean the hospital’s main entrance.]
After submitting the tasks, the second task did not pass. The text flickered and automatically revised itself to: [Steal an important pathogen sample.]
Xu Huo raised an eyebrow. So it seed that at most one of the three tasks could basically follow his subjective intent in determining the path to clearing. This newly generated second task gave the impression that the ga was encouraging confrontation between players and the dungeon holder, adding more detailed background narrative and beginning to develop a storyline.
Once the new authorization form was successfully submitted, the system prompted:
[The “Seventeenth Hospital” dungeon has been successfully upgraded to D-grade. Congratulations to player Passerby. This dungeon is a random dungeon with no limit on player capacity. However, please note the hospital facilities’ capacity.]
After the upgrade was complete, Xu Huo did not open the door to let the increasing number of players in. Instead, he quickly checked the changes in the buildings. He noticed that every fire safety station in each building had gained an additional floor plan of the hospital, accurately reduced to scale. He tried using his ntal power to alter the appearance of the floor plan but failed.
“So this is the ga’s restriction on the dungeon holder…”
He opened a door in the wall, went directly to the tenth floor, and simultaneously opened the hospital’s main entrance.
By this ti, a large number of players had gathered outside the hospital. Besides the ten foreigners, nearly fifty players had been drawn in by Gu Yu, Brother Liang, and others. These included both Player-Eaters and ordinary players. Most of them, upon discovering “Xu Huo,” imdiately launched attacks, while a few ca out of curiosity. Unfortunately, Gu Yu, Zheng Liang, and the others had been sucked in by the expanded dungeon.
Xu Huo had instructed them earlier to keep a certain distance from the signal point, but he hadn’t anticipated that plans couldn’t keep up with changes. The hospital’s range had expanded, bringing a large area in front of the gate within the dungeon’s bounds, so they ended up trapped inside the dungeon inadvertently.
Other players who had been inadvertently pulled into the dungeon gritted their teeth, trying to extract them, but just then, the hospital’s main entrance swung open, and the ga began releasing the dungeon information.
[You have entered the “Seventeenth Hospital.” You are participating in this D-grade random dungeon by default.]
[Background: This was once a world-renowned psychiatric hospital. Using a unique psychological targeted treatnt thod, it cured hundreds of psychiatric patients, including so celebrities who later shined brilliantly at the arts festival. Everyone who walked out of the Seventeenth Hospital sang its praises, calling it the most perfect hospital in the world.]
[However, after the death of its founder, Dr. Finland, the legendary psychological treatnt thod vanished, and this hospital gradually declined into a second-rate facility. Still, upholding Dr. Finland’s virtue of healing the sick, the Seventeenth Hospital would occasionally admit patients without family or friends for free and provide them treatnt. The only downside was that most of the treatnt facilities here were outdated.]
[Few patients admitted here could be cured and leave. Instead, people living near the hospital often heard screams from within, especially at night. So even claid to have seen vehicles full of corpses leaving the hospital grounds. Local authorities sent investigators multiple tis, but each attempt failed due to the Seventeenth Hospital’s newly established infectious disease research project. According to official reports, many hospitalized patients had contracted an unknown pathogen, which was highly contagious. With no good treatnt available, the only option was to isolate the patients on-site. At the sa ti, for public safety, nearby residents were advised to move away.]
[As ti passed, the Seventeenth Hospital gradually beca sothing people didn’t want to ntion. Yet, oddly enough, whenever soone needed treatnt for a ntal illness, they would inevitably recall the Seventeenth Hospital and go to great lengths to send their family and friends there.]
[Today, a new batch of patients has been sent to the Seventeenth Hospital by their families.]
[Dungeon Tasks: ① Undergo at least one psychological treatnt.]
[② Steal an important pathogen sample.]
[③ Clean the hospital’s main entrance.]
[Players may exit the dungeon upon completing any one task.]
[Dungeon Duration: Unlimited.]
[Please note: The hospital does not welco patients with overactive imaginations.]
