~Third POV~

[Sinnoh Region, Next Day, Celestic Town – Cynthia's Family's Ho]

The first rays of the morning sun, gentle and gold, stread through the latticed windows of Cynthia's family ho in Celestic Town. Dust motes danced in the light, illuminating the ancient, comfortable interior.

The aroma of freshly cooked breakfast – a delightful mix of sweet pancakes, savory berry sausages, and roasted coffee – wafted from the kitchen, coaxing even the most stubborn sleepers from their slumber.

Groans and stretches filled the quiet house as the group, recuperating from yesterday's tumultuous events, began to stir. Platinum, elegant even in sleep-rumpled clothes, blinked away the last vestiges of dreams, her Empoleon stirring beside her.

Diamond, ever the enthusiast for food, was already following his nose towards the kitchen, a sleepy Lax lumbering behind him. Pearl, ever energetic, practically bounced out of bed. Chatler perched on his shoulder, already chattering excitedly.

Azure, who had been up for a while, ditating in the garden with Darkrai, Marshadow, and his new Entei, entered the main living space with Green. Entei, now freed from Cyrus's chilling command, emanated a calr yet still formidable aura.

Its fiery mane, once dulled by suppression, flickered with renewed vitality. Yesterday evening had been a blur of adrenaline and confrontation. Cyrus, that enigmatic and dangerously calculating man, had appeared, his chilling presence a stark contrast to the ancient serenity of the Celestic Ruins.

Azure had faced him, a surge of raw hostility rising within him, while Landorus and Entei, under Cyrus's control, had been formidable adversaries. Though Cyrus had escaped, he hadn't left empty-handed – or rather, he had left Entei, freed from the Master Ball Azure instinctively knew it had been trapped in, before the legendary Pokémon chose to join Azure's team.

Cynthia's grandmother, Carolina, a woman whose eyes held the wisdom of generations and the quiet strength of the earth, had welcod them with open arms. She had collected eye-witness reports of Cyrus's eerie appearance, confirming the group's intense encounter yesterday.

Now, gathered around a large, sturdy wooden table laden with breakfast, a sense of weary peace settled over them. The clatter of cutlery, the soft murmurs of conversation, and the comforting scent of food were a balm to their frayed nerves.

Carolina urged, pouring steaming hot tea into delicate cups, "Please, eat up, everyone. You've all had quite a night. Rest and nourishnt are paramount."

Platinum, ever polite, took a sip of her tea, its warmth spreading through her. She began, "Grandmother Carolina, if you don't mind asking, how are things in Celestic Town this morning? After… the incident."

Carolina's expression, though serene, held a hint of steel as she explained sternly in a serious tone, "The town is recovering. The damage to the outer structures of the ruins is being assessed, though thankfully, the deeper, sacred areas were untouched. Cynthia has already begun coordinating efforts. She will be recruiting a dedicated group of individuals, skilled in both combat and archaeological preservation, to act as permanent security for the ruins. This way, she won't have to concern herself with the day-to-day vigilance, allowing her to focus on broader regional matters."

A collective sigh of relief passed through the Sinnoh Dex Holders as they thought, 'It was good to know such an important historical site would be protected.'

The conversation naturally drifted back to the man who had caused such disruption. Platinum, her brow furrowed in thought, turned to Azure. Her tone was curious, but tinged with a delicate apprehension: "Azure, yesterday… when Cyrus appeared, your reaction, and his… it was clear you two know each other. And not in a friendly way."

Diamond and Pearl nodded, their expressions mirroring Platinum's curiosity. When they had first encountered the man, a palpable hostility had radiated from Azure, so intense that even their Pokémon had felt it. Cyrus, for his part, had narrowed his unnerving eyes in clear recognition, only to mask it soon after. Azure let out a long, weary sigh, a sound that spoke of burdens carried for too long.

He glanced at Green, who gave him a supportive nod. He began, his voice low and serious, "You're right, Platinum. We do. And it's not a pleasant story. It involves a lot more than just Sinnoh..."

Green subtly shifted her chair closer, ready to assist. Green chid in, her tone as precise and sharp as a honed blade, "We'll start from the top. And the top begins with a person of interest nad Sird."

The na rolled off her tongue with a palpable disdain, a shared distaste evident between her and Azure. Pearl, ever straightforward, blurted out, "Sird? Who's that?"

Green's gaze sharpened as she explained, "Sird… was outwardly known as one of the Three Beasts of Team Rocket. A dangerous, manipulative woman."

She paused, allowing the weight of the na to settle, continuing, "However, upon further investigation, particularly after her capture at the Hoenn Battle Frontier—thanks largely to Azure's interference—we discovered her true allegiance. Sird has always been a mber of Team Galactic. Her involvent with Team Rocket was rely a ruse, a deep cover operation. Her objective? To spy on Giovanni rather than Team Rocket and, more importantly, to capture Deoxys for Cyrus."

A collective gasp went around the table from the Sinnoh Dex Holders. The layers of deception were already staggering.

Green continued, detailing the previous encounters, "She first appeared on the Sevii Islands, attempting to capture Deoxys. She used her Darkrai, a powerful Dark-type, to attack the Pokémon defending Deoxys. The resultant clash was imnse. Attacks flew wildly, so targeting the Kanto Dex Holders present—Red, Yellow, and Blue—along with my little brother, Silver, present at the ti. Azure was there, too."

Azure picked up the narrative, his voice laced with the mory of the chaos: "Sird's Darkrai was formidable, but Marshadow and Rayquaza, along with wtwo, managed to block her attacks from reaching the others. We managed to protect them, preventing any serious harm."

He shook his head grimly as he continued, "Unfortunately, Sird was slippery. She managed to escape the ensuing battle and fled the Sevii Islands, disappearing off the radar for a ti. We now know she fled directly to Sinnoh, carrying out her objectives for Cyrus here."

The Sinnoh Dex Holders nodded, processing as he continued, "And that wasn't the last we saw of her. Sird was also the one responsible for the incident at the Hoenn Battle Frontier. She infiltrated the Battle Factory, knocked out the Factory Head Noland, and stole several of the Battle Factory's rental Pokémon. All of this was in a single-minded pursuit: to capture the wish-granting Pokémon, Jirachi, for Cyrus."

He leaned forward, his eyes hardened with resolve, with a satisfied grin, "That, thankfully, was the last ti we would ever have to deal with her. I managed to track her down, recover the rental Pokémon, and finally capture her. Sird was apprehended, and her plans to obtain Jirachi for Cyrus were thoroughly thwarted. Jirachi is now safe, and its power is not in the hands of Team Galactic."

Green nodded in agreent as she summarized, "So, Team Galactic's plans were foiled not once, but twice, first with the two Deoxys from the Sevii Islands thanks to Giovanni's distraction and Azure's intervention, and then with Jirachi in Hoenn."

The Sinnoh Dex Holders were absorbing this information, their faces a mixture of surprise and growing understanding. The world, they realized, was far more complex and dangerous than they had ever imagined.

The nefarious reach of Team Galactic was far wider than just Sinnoh. Carolina (Cynthia's grandmother), who had been listening intently, her hands clasped on the table, let out a low sigh. Her eyes, usually so gentle, were now hardened with a profound sadness and understanding.

She murmured, her voice laced with a historical weight, "The Galaxy Expedition Team… Once a noble group, exploring the vastness of Hisui, seeking to understand our world. To hear that their na has been twisted, corrupted into this 'Team Galactic'… it pains deeply."

Her gaze swept over the young trainers, a silent plea for them to understand the stakes. Platinum, her mind reeling, finally broke the silence: "But… if Cyrus is doing all these things, trespassing into sacred ruins, causing property damage, even trying to capture Legendary Pokémon… wouldn't the International Police be able to arrest him?"

Her logic was sound, based on the laws she knew. Diamond, ever the literalist, added, "Yeah! He totally trespassed into the Celestic Ruins! That's forbidden for outsiders to see! And he made a huge ss! Shouldn't that be enough?"

This, however, only caused Azure, Green, and Carolina to sigh in unison, a collective sound of exasperation tinged with weariness at their naivety. Carolina explained, her voice tinged with a deep regret, "It's not that simple, children. Much as we wish it were, it would be impossible to arrest him, or even truly implicate Team Galactic, at this mont."

The Sinnoh Dex Holders' shock was evident. Green leaned forward, her expression grim as she explained, "While Team Galactic is absolutely a terrorist organization behind the scenes, their public face is an impenetrable shield. You can't just directly accuse them without solid, undeniable proof that would stand up in a court of law. And their influence… It's vast. Really hard to disprove."

She continued, painting a picture of deception for them, "Their public entity is known as the Galaxy Organization. They're presented as a philanthropic Space Energy Developnt Company. They provide vital energy to many of Sinnoh's major towns, effectively keeping the power grid running. They have imnse public trust, built on countless donations to charity organizations, goodwill projects, and community outreach. They are perceived as heroes by the public, essential to Sinnoh's infrastructure."

Azure interjected, his voice calm but firm, explaining further, "Because of this, everything they do that is illicit, every plot, every bit of damage – it's ticulously hushed up. The Pokémon League, the Pokémon Association, and even the International Police Force can only conduct their investigations in secret. They must play by the rules, gather irrefutable evidence, and act strictly 'by the book,' as annoying and slow as that sounds."

He clenched a fist under the table, visibly annoyed, continuing further, "A premature move could destabilize Sinnoh's energy infrastructure, turn public opinion against law enforcent, and allow Team Galactic to vanish into the shadows, only to re-erge stronger."

The Sinnoh Dex Holders slumped, the weight of this bureaucratic red tape crushing their hopes for swift justice. Yet Green added, a spark of optimism in her eyes, "But… there is good news. This latest incident, the confrontation with Cyrus at the Celestic Ruins, caught on security caras and with multiple eyewitness accounts, is a ga-changer. And with Champion Cynthia herself now directly involved and witnessing their actions, the League and Police might finally have enough circumstantial evidence to move into action soon. This could be the breakthrough we needed."

A wave of relief washed over Platinum, Diamond, and Pearl. At least there was hope.

Diamond, ever observant, then posed another question as he asked, confused, "But how did he control Landorus and Entei so easily? I an, they looked really annoyed, like they didn't want to be doing what he told them to."

Pearl nodded vigorously, recalling the legendary Pokémon's expressions of disdain during the confrontation, "Yeah, like what Dia said! They didn't seem to like the guy all that much, so how did he get them to listen?"

*Pop*

At Diamond's question, Azure's Entei, which had been resting peacefully by his feet, stirred. Its majestic form shimred, and then, a clear, resonant voice echoed not in their ears, but directly in their minds: 'It is the power of your badges. The symbol they form… a 'G' emblem on their uniform. It matches the power of all eight badges combined, suppressing our will.'

The Sinnoh Dex Holders exchanged confused glances. Platinum whispered, "Badges? A 'G' emblem?"

Azure, Carolina, and Green shared a look of dawning comprehension. Azure pulled out his Fen Badge, holding it up.

Its polished surface glinted in the morning light. Azure explained, his voice grave, "Entei is right… Badges aren't just souvenirs from Gym Leaders. They signify mastery over Pokémon, true. But they also contain a latent power. That power both increases a Pokémon's natural abilities when used by a trainer and allows the Badge holder to control them."

He paused, letting his words sink in before continuing, "With just four badges, a skilled trainer can control even a single Legendary Pokémon, albeit with difficulty."

He saw the wide eyes of the Sinnoh Dex Holders as he continued, "But with all eight badges… combined, perhaps within a specially designed device, it becos possible for soone like Cyrus to control many Legendary Pokémon at once. Even if those Pokémon, like Entei and Landorus, inherently refuse and outwardly despise their controller, the power of those badges suppresses their will, forcing them to obey."

Green added, her voice flat with crossed arms, "And with his position as the head of the Galaxy Organization, he could easily arrange for access to Gyms under the guise of 'restoring energy' or 'upgrading facilities.' Stealing the badges increntally, without drawing suspicion, to swap with fakes. It's not a far-fetched idea at all."

A heavy silence descended upon the group. The revelation was chilling.

The very symbols of a trainer's journey, of their hard-earned triumphs, could be weaponized to enslave the most powerful beings in the world. The implications were vast, terrifying…

*Clap-Clap*

Azure, seeing the worried faces of the younger trainers, clapped his hands together, a sharp sound that broke the tension. He said, forcing a lighter tone, "Well, it's concerning, yes, but it's sothing we shouldn't worry about… yet."

He offered a small, reassuring smile as he said calmly, "We have to trust the authorities to handle their part and focus on our own journeys."

Carolina, understanding Azure's attempt to lighten the mood, agreed with a gentle smile. She stated softly in a soothing voice, "Azure is right. It's a burden for many shoulders, not just yours, though your bravery is comndable. But as a thank you for your incredible assistance in Celestic Town and for helping protect our precious heritage, I've prepared a small gift for each of you."

Her words instantly pulled the trio's attention. Carolina disappeared into a back room, returning monts later with three carefully wrapped packages and a small, ornate box. She first approached Platinum.

She handed Platinum a package, which, upon unwrapping, revealed a Poké Ball as she said warmly, "For you, young lady, a companion that embodies both the charm and the fierce spirit of Hisui and will be a loyal guardian on your journey."

*Pop*

With a flash of light, a fluffy, orange-furred creature with a perpetually surprised expression erged. It was a Hisuian Growlithe, its stony horns gleaming.

Platinum gasped, her eyes wide with delight as the Growlithe barked playfully, nudging her hand with its head, "Oh my goodness! It's adorable! Thank you!"

Next, she turned to Diamond. Diamond eagerly unwrapped his gift as she said happily in a soft voice, "And for you, a relic from a distant past, yet full of life and resilience, much like your own spirit."

*Pop*

Inside, nestled comfortably, was a small, brown-shelled creature with piercing eyes and four small legs next to its Poké Ball. A Kabuto!

Diamond exclaid, his face lighting up, "Wow! A Kabuto! It's so… ancient! I'll call you… Kabu! Kabu the Kanuto!"

Kabu gave a happy little click with its claws, already taking a liking to its new trainer, "Kaaa! Kabuuu!"

Finally, Carolina presented Pearl with his gift. Pearl's excitent was palpable as he tore open the wrapping. She explained, "And for the trainer with such boundless energy, a Pokémon that embodies raw power and primal strength."

*Pop*

Out popped a small, bipedal dinosaur-like Pokémon with a hard, blue do on its head next to its Poké Ball. A Cranidos erged!

Pearl cried out, his eyes gleaming, "Whoa! A Cranidos! Aweso! You're gonna be tough, aren't ya? I'll call you, Do!!"

Cranidos, living up to its na, imdiately headbutted Pearl's leg playfully, eliciting a laugh from the energetic trainer, "Dos!"

For Azure, Carolina presented the small, elegant box. Opening the box revealed a Master Ball as Carolina explained, "And for you, Azure, a Master Ball. A small token of thanks for your unparalleled courage and wisdom."

Azure took the Master Ball, its familiar purple and pink sheen glinting. He gave Carolina a warm, genuine smile as he replied respectfully, "Thank you, Grandmother Carolina. It's a very generous gift."

ntally, he reflected that with his current team and the sheer power of his capture streak, he likely wouldn't need a Master Ball to catch any Pokémon. But to refuse such a kind gesture would be rude, and the sentint behind it was deeply appreciated. He knew it would be a valuable tool should an unprecedented situation arise.

Seeing the pure, unadulterated joy on the faces of the Sinnoh Dex Holders, now proudly displaying their new Fossil Pokémon, filled Azure with a quiet sense of satisfaction. It was a stark contrast to the heavy conversation they'd just had, a reminder of the simple, pure joy of companionship and discovery that Pokémon journeys were supposed to be about.

With breakfast finished and spirits lifted by their new companions, it was ti to move on. The Sinnoh Dex Holders had a journey to continue, and Azure had a job to do. Platinum suggested, checking her Rotom Phone, "We should head to Heartho City to resupply. It's the nearest major city with a Pokémon Center and a departnt store."

Azure agreed, "Sounds like a plan."

*POP*

He returned his Entei to its Ultra Ball, then whistled, and Dragonite descended from the sky, its massive wings beating the air gently. Platinum called forth her Altaria, its fluffy cloud-like wings ready for flight. Pearl's Ryu, a sleek Dragonair, coiled gracefully, while Diamond's Branch, a magnificent Tropius, unfolded its leafy wings.

Green said, giving Azure a quick, affectionate squeeze of his hand, "Looks like this is where we part ways for now. I need to report all this back to Looker. Moltres!"

*FWP*

Her legendary firebird swooped down, its fiery plus blazing, "Screee!"

Azure said, his gaze lingering on her for a mont, "Be safe, Green."

She replied, winking, "You too, stay sharp."

*FWP*

With a powerful beat of its flaming wings, Moltres ascended, carrying Green swiftly towards the horizon, a fiery streak against the pale blue sky. Azure mounted his Dragonite, the Sinnoh Dex Holders settling onto their respective flying Pokémon.

A final wave to Carolina, who stood at the doorway, a warm smile on her face, and then they too ascended. Dragonite's powerful wings beat steadily, carrying Azure and his charges higher. Below, Celestic Town, ancient and serene, slowly receded into the distance…

*WOOOSH*

The wind whistled past their faces, carrying away the worries of the past, as they flew towards Heartho City and whatever new challenges awaited them on their grand Sinnoh Journey Adventure.
