~Azure S. POV~

[3 Days Later, Kanto Region, Route 22]

3 Days later, in training, I had Pikachu staring down against the Pidgey as I gave my command my eyes on the battle ahead, "Pikachu Thunder Shock!"

*Buzzz*

Pikachu makes multiple shocks around its cheeks, glowing with electric energy. Pikachu cried out, unleashing a bolt of electricity, "Pika… chu!!!"

*ZZZZZ*

*Thud*

Pidgey was struck down imdiately by the Thunder Shock, being super effective against it. I smiled as the training had been paying off, and it fainted.

After training for the last 3 days against the wild Pokémon around Route 22, Pikachu and I haven't been slacking off, gaining experience for him to grind as well as get used to fighting Pokémon back-to-back at tis.

Of course, we stay within the limits in case we need to retreat, but we remain steadily focused on battling as one while I train Pikachu to get used to so basic exercise thods.

When the Pidgey finally fainted again, Pikachu ca to at my leg as I gave him a complint for a job well done in a happy tone, "Good job! After getting used to this kind of fighting for the last few days, it's ti to finally learn so new moves."

Pikachu's eyes widened at that as he hopped around happily. I smiled at him, being this energetic at tis. Taking out my Arc Phone with no one looking, I began to look up the stats for Pikachu's current level of strength.

|Na: Partner Pikachu (Mouse Pokémon)

|Type: Electric

|Level: 8

|Gender: Male

|Held Item: None

|Ability: Lightning Rod (Hidden Ability)

|Nature: Hasty

|Moves: Thunder Shock, Quick Attack, Double Team, Tail Whip, Thunder Wave, Volt Tackle (EM), Wish (EM)

Hmm… Only after 3 days did he manage to gain three levels through the fighting, but then again, the Pokémon in this part of the area are only levels 2-4 or, on rare occasions, Lv. 5's, but those are rare occasions we happen to co across.

Fortunately, by having our backs near the gate to Viridian City, we avoid any battles that would be too dangerous. But the more we practice, the better we beco at Pokémon Battles to grind.

While training, I made sure to increase my knowledge regarding moves. Seems like training new moves by learning from others has its perks, of other Pokémon capable of learning moves just a bit ti-consuming.

This ans the idea of teaching them advanced Pokémon moves is within reach and possible for any Pokémon to do so, long as the trainer knows what they're doing. Like how Ash taught his Pokémon Energy Ball or Bullet Seed.

Which reminds I need to train myself in the future. I needed to be prepared for what was to co and help myself to do so exercise as well, considering I needed to be in the best shape for the future.

Maybe after going through the Pokémon League, I should use the 2-year ti skip to train my body along with my Pokémon in the Johto region under Chuck, the Fighting-type Gym Leader, to help strengthen myself. Or maybe head to Mt. Silver and train with higher-level Wild Pokémon like Red did in the gas.

Not gonna lie that would fucking hard-core as fuck if I did that. But that's only in the near future, not in the present.

Shaking my head at this, I began to focus my attention on the little go-getter as he trained all he could for the future ahead of us. I need to consider who else I should add to my team if I'm fortunate enough to find soone.

Many co to mind, especially the pseudo-legends who were great assets to have by my side. However, I need a strong Pokémon to add to my team. But with how things are in Kanto, it would be best to leave till everything is sorted out.

I would probably use my ti to search for Pokémon I want to add to my team. And it is not like the Evolution Stones in Vermillion City would be gone anyti soon, waiting to be poached for safekeeping.

But I would need a Water-type Pokémon to enter the waters. But for now, searching for ideal Pokémon teammates is a must, and probably so rare, strong ones would be ideal to help. I just so happen to know how to evolve most Pokémon in this world.

I just need to collect the Pokémon in question. To be honest, I want to add Mankey to my team, but I haven't had the greatest of chances locating one by itself, and no way I'm picking a fucking fight with a colony of them.

I have seen them but no way I can isolate one from the group not without pissing off the entirety of their colony in the whole process. Last thing, I need a bunch of fighting types coming after my ass no thanks even with Green's help.

And I rember even Ash had a hard ti with his Priape, only making shiver at how I would handle my own if I had one. Fortunately, though, a ticket on a flight from Viridian City to different regions is doable.

However, with things in control of Team Rocket, I won't be able to move out of here as freely as I would like. I took the chance to admire the scenery.

I made sure to enjoy the experience of what this crazy world has to offer as I witnessed many types of Pokémon that live here in these parts. Of course, I'm still wary of them, but with Pikachu by my side, it makes it easier for to relax lightly with him around than without.

Hmm… perhaps I should try to teach Pikachu how to perform Iron Tail. Yeah. Ti to move on. Pikachu will train using Iron Tail next when he cos out.

*Rmbl*

Seeing the rocks nearby rumble, I began to collect them along with so strong enough and flexible tree branches to tie them up on Pikachu's tail. Pikachu rely observed my actions with a raised eyebrow.

I called him out, getting his attention, and he followed as I talked to him in a determined tone, "Good job, Pikachu. You did a good job in that battle it's ti for the next step of our training. Now then, I'm gonna teach you a new move. I'm going to teach you how to do Iron Tail next."

At this, Pikachu blinked but wasn't discouraged, agreeing to train and not giving up. I smiled at Pikachu's determination.

Grabbing the rocks and tying them up on Pikachu's tail, I began to explain to him as he tried to move his tail around with the extra weight, "Ok, Pikachu, to train to even use Iron Tail, you need to have your energy around the tail then turn it as hard as steel. Hopefully, doing it a few tis, as well as getting adjusted to the weight, will help you learn the process a bit better."

Pikachu looked at , confused, and cried out, "Pika…?"

Trying to lift his tail, he manages to do so with so difficulty as the weight shows as he tries to get the hang of it, focusing on trying to learn Iron Tail this way. Not doubting my thod, I gazed as Pikachu began to lift the tail and attempt to swing it with so difficulty.

Practicing a bit, I took out a Potion to heal the fainted Pidgey. Must admit having these Potions on hand is certainly helpful. Especially reading its effects differ from the normal gas.

[Observe].

[Item: Potion x6

Rarity Item: C

Type: dicine

Description: The Potion is a spray-type of dicine to be used on Pokémons. It has four improved counterparts: Super Potion, Hyper Potion, Max Potion, and Full Restore. When used, it can restore 25% of the target's HP.]

*Speee*

Spraying it on the Pidgey, it opened its eyes, lightly gazing upon as it squawked, alard seeing , "Pidg!!!"

But it soon flinched as I continued to spray over its body as I said calmly, "Careful there. You got hit by my Pikachu's Thunder Shock. Just let heal you up, then you can go on your rry way."

Pidgey looked unsure, but I let him heal up. After spraying over his body, Pidgey flapped its wings, contentedly flying above, "Pegi!"

*Fwp*

Pidgey began to fly away after being healed. I had to make sure I used my Potion sparingly as I needed this to heal my Pikachu and not damage the environnt too much because of my actions.

But at the very least, according to the thod of Arc Phone teaching, this move would be beneficial. Along with collecting berries in this route, trying to make specific Pokémon food for different types of Pokémon.

While I checked my Arc Phone for moves that my Pikachu could learn, I smiled when I found it contained the Partner Pikachu moves of Zippy Zap, Floaty Fall, Splishy Splash, and probably the most powerful move, Pika Papow.

But nope, it wasn't all that a Pikachu could learn from it. The Arc Phone also showed moves of how my Pikachu could learn the Cosplay Pikachu moves. Those moves were teor Mash, Icicle Crash, Flying Press, Draining Kiss, and Electric Terrain.

To make matters great, my Arc Phone also contained the Hidden TM's moves to help out greatly. Even teaching my Pikachu how to perform Surf would be vital in increasing its move pool for versatility.

Happily smiling about my plans, I ensure the right notes of the tools needed to help boost my Partner Pikachu's moves. Not only that, but no matter what Pokémon I capture, training them would be great and cost-effective, so as not to waste money on TM if needed to raise my Pokémon.

It would be a drag trying to train them from scratch, but it is cost-effective. Not needing to pay for TM's would be great, but I'll need to teach my Pokémon from scratch to do it.

When training Pikachu on this move, I'll be sure to have him level up past Lv.10 to ensure he can learn more moves I have in mind. With that in mind, I checked my Arc Phone to see what moves I would be able to learn upon leveling up to find a plan on what moves my partner should learn.

Hmm… Lv.12 Electro Ball, Lv.16 Feint, and Lv.20 Spark. Those moves are vital for coverage's sake, aning I'll have a spare two slots for Pikachu to learn other moves I have in mind.

If I add Iron Tail, then I'll have a free single space to have Pikachu learn a new move. Only one move for him to learn, huh… That's gonna be annoying. Which move should he learn to find coverage?
