Now reading: Chapter 388: Refining the Blueprint! from Pokémon: Ascension Trainer System, a Action novel by PokePals.

Obtaining the move Electrify had never been easy.

So in the past, Ash hadn't paid it much attention—he had only noted it down in Pikachu's long-term training plan.

Even when he borrowed Heliolisk from Clemont today, his focus had been entirely on Parabolic Charge.

He hadn't even thought about Electrify at first.

Which made this mont all the more satisfying.

Eerie Impulse, Volt Switch, and Electrify—

These three moves were nothing short of unexpected treasures.

"System, copy all of Heliolisk's moves."

Without wasting a second, Ash gave the command.

[Ding! Command received. Copying moves…]

…3%

…9%

…30%

A progress bar appeared on Heliolisk's system panel.

Within monts—

It filled completely.

The move pool dimd—

All skills successfully copied.

"Perfect."

Ash let out a satisfied breath.

"Not only did I secure Parabolic Charge…"

"I also gained Eerie Impulse, Volt Switch, and Electrify—three incredibly valuable moves for Pikachu."

"Now, all that's left is one final piece…"

Electroweb.

"A strong control move."

"With that, Pikachu's skill set will finally be complete."

However—

There was a problem.

Electroweb wasn't easy to obtain.

It was exclusive to Pokémon from the Unova region, such as:

Joltik

Galvantula

And currently—

Ash's online shop hadn't expanded into Unova yet.

Which ant—

He couldn't rely on custor Pokémon to copy the move.

"Looks like I'll need Professor Oak's help."

"Maybe he can contact Professor Juniper in Unova and borrow a Galvantula that knows Electroweb…"

With a clear plan in mind—

Ash imdiately took action.

He pulled out his phone and dialed.

"Ash? Still working at the lab this late?" Ash asked casually.

Professor Oak chuckled.

"Just organizing today's research data."

"You calling at this hour—sothing important?"

"Hehe… you always see right through , Professor."

Ash scratched his head.

"It's about Pikachu."

"It still lacks a strong control move, so I want to teach it Electroweb."

"But since Electroweb is exclusive to Joltik, Galvantula, and even Regieleki…"

"I was hoping you could contact Professor Juniper and help borrow one."

"Ah, Electroweb…"

Professor Oak nodded thoughtfully.

"While it's technically exclusive, Pikachu can learn it under the right conditions."

"If you have a Galvantula demonstrate it in person—and combine that with your psychic ability—"

"There's a very high chance Pikachu will successfully learn it."

"Don't worry. I'll contact Professor Juniper."

"Borrowing a Galvantula won't be a problem."

"Thank you, Professor!!"

Ash ended the call, feeling a wave of relief.

Though he ca from an ordinary background—

With Professor Oak's support—

He lacked nothing.

Money?

His Move Mastery Room was already generating millions.

Influence?

He had connections with major families, corporations—even Team Rocket.

Network?

Professor Oak alone was a pillar of both the League and the academic world.

He had even left a Champion-level Charizard to protect Ash.

At this point—

Ash possessed everything that elite heirs had.

And even things they didn't.

The road to becoming strong—

Had once been narrow and uncertain.

Now—

It had beco a broad, shining path.

And yet—

Ash didn't feel overwheld or lucky.

Because everything he had—

Was sothing he had earned.

After copying Heliolisk's moves, Ash returned it to its Poké Ball.

From beginning to end—

It hadn't even t Pikachu.

Its mission was complete.

Tomorrow, Ash would send it back to Lumiose Gym.

With Parabolic Charge secured—

And Electroweb on the way—

Pikachu's skill system was nearly perfected.

But Ash's team didn't consist of Pikachu alone.

There was also:

Greninja (his other starter)

Pidgeotto

Fearow

Now that Frogadier had evolved into Greninja—

Its evolutionary path was complete… for now.

Of course—

That didn't an its developnt was finished.

Far from it.

Ash began reviewing Greninja's skill frawork:

Water: ✔️

Fire: ❌

Grass: Grass Knot

Bug: U-turn

Poison: Toxic, Toxic Spikes, Gunk Shot

Dark: ✔️

Electric: ❌

Ice: Haze, Ice Punch, Blizzard, Icy Wind, Ice Beam

Steel: ❌

Dragon: ❌

Normal: ✔️

Fighting: Power-Up Punch, Low Kick, Mat Block

Psychic: Role Play, Rest, Extrasensory

Ghost: Lick, Spite, Shadow Sneak

Flying: Bounce, Aerial Ace, Acrobatics

Rock: Smack Down, Rock Tomb, Rock Slide

Ground: Mud Sport, Spikes

Out of the 18 types—

Greninja couldn't learn:

Fire

Steel

Dragon

But for the remaining 12 types—

It had access to at least one move.

At this stage—

Ash's goal was simple:

Help Greninja master as many of these moves as possible.

Only after that—

Would he refine its core moveset using:

Water

Dark

Normal

Greninja's path was clear.

A dual-attacker.

High Speed.

High Mobility.

Balanced Attack and Special Attack.

A true ninja.

Striking from the shadows—

Eliminating enemies in the shortest ti—

With maximum efficiency.

And under Ash's guidance—

It was only just beginning to reveal its full potential.
