"Butterfree…"
"Sandshrew…"
"Nidoran…"
"Growlithe…"
"Priape…"
From the very first mont the online clinic opened, Pokémon kept arriving in a steady, unbroken stream.
Even though Ash had restricted the service to the Kanto region, the demand was overwhelming. Trainers from all over sent in their injured or sick Pokémon, eager for treatnt. And even after Ash instructed Rotom to temporarily close the appointnt system, the queue had already exceeded five hundred.
For the entire afternoon, Ash never stopped—not even for a mont.
By the ti the last patient had been treated, it was already 7:30 PM.
"Phew—!!"
As no more Poké Balls arrived through the transfer machine, Ash finally let out a long breath. The pressure that had been weighing on him all day suddenly lifted… and in its place ca a deep, overwhelming sense of satisfaction.
Today had been exhausting—but the rewards were equally astonishing.
Before the clinic opened, Ash's Viridian Power stood at Level 43, roughly equivalent to an Elite-tier strength by Pokémon standards. His strongest Pokémon, Pikachu, had only just reached Level 40.
Yet now—
After treating nearly 600 Pokémon in a single afternoon…
His Viridian Power had surged explosively.
Online Clinic Patients: 579
Viridian Power: LV.43 → LV.53
"Now this is what you call a massive gain," Ash muttered, eyes lighting up as he looked at his status panel. "Straight from Elite-tier to Gym-level…"
And that wasn't even the biggest reward.
If leveling up required roughly fifty patients per level, then skill copying was on an entirely different scale.
Every single Pokémon he treated contributed over a dozen skills on average. By the end of the day, Ash had accumulated over 5000 new skills—far surpassing the total his skill shop had earned in the past two months.
Previously, his shop had faced a bottleneck:
Skill learning required ti—3 to 5 days per batch—aning only about 20–30 Pokémon per week could be processed. Most custors wanted high-level or rare skills, which quickly drained his inventory.
Now?
That problem had been completely shattered.
Sure, many of the Pokémon he handled daily were Magikarp, whose skill pool consisted mostly of the famously useless Splash. Still, Ash had copied every single one—after all, even "useless" moves could have hidden value, just like how Tackle had once surprised everyone.
At this point, he had already stockpiled over a thousand instances of Splash alone.
But more importantly—
The clinic had solved everything.
A steady flow of patients ant:
Continuous Viridian Power growth
Massive skill inventory expansion
Increasing reputation and influence
A perfect three-in-one gain.
And beyond that… there was an even deeper, hidden benefit—his personal brand value was rising rapidly.
For now, Ash didn't have ti to capitalize on it. His priority remained clear: grow stronger, train his Pokémon, and develop his abilities. But in the future, he already had plans—perhaps even starting an entertainnt company to fully realize his comrcial potential.
For now, though, one thing was certain:
The clinic had changed everything.
Closing his status panel, Ash stretched slightly. His body was exhausted, but his mind felt lighter than ever.
"As long as I set aside so ti each day for consultations," he thought, "both my training and my business will stay on track."
Now, he could finally devote more energy to what mattered most—raising his Pokémon.
…
"Dr. Ash… are you still spacing out even after work?"
A hand waved in front of his face.
Ash blinked and looked up to see Clarissa smiling at him. Her tone was teasing, but her eyes were full of concern.
She had seen just how hard he had pushed himself today.
"Ah—sorry, I zoned out for a mont," Ash said with a sheepish smile. "You helped the whole afternoon… I really owe you."
"Why are you being so formal?" she replied, shaking her head gently. "We're friends, aren't we? Of course I'd help."
She paused, then added softly, "Besides… I wasn't the one doing all the hard work. You were."
Ash felt a quiet warmth in his chest.
"No matter what, thank you," he said sincerely. "Now that we're done, let's go say a few words to the TV crew and the viewers, wrap up the livestream… and then we'll go get dinner."
"Sounds good," she nodded.
…
The two of them stepped out of the treatnt room.
Night had already fallen. The city lights flickered on, illuminating the Pokémon Center's corridors in a warm glow. Outside, the TV crew was still broadcasting live, wrapping up the final segnt.
As soon as Ash and Clarissa appeared, the caras imdiately focused on them.
"Ash! Miss Clarissa!" the host, Mina, called out, stepping forward with a microphone. "Congratulations on a successful first day! The clinic's opening—and today's livestream—have both been incredible."
She smiled brightly. "Now that the day is finally over, is there anything you'd like to say to our viewers?"
Ash nodded, taking the microphone.
"First of all, thank you all for your support," he began calmly. "But I want to clarify sothing—this clinic isn't a business. It's a free service. So there's no such thing as 'booming business' here."
He paused slightly, then smiled.
"To be honest… I'd rather everyone's Pokémon stay healthy and never need to co here at all."
"Even if that ans my clinic becos completely empty—"
"I'd be perfectly happy with that."
