Sumr 5

Early that morning, Robin arrived at the farm with the furniture Ron had ordered.

At the gate, she spotted Rattata lining up by the pond to wash up.

Inside, Ron was cooking breakfast. He greeted her as she entered.

"Morning," Robin said, carrying in the new furniture piece by piece.

Though the cabin had expanded during the last renovation, adding all this—especially the long dining table—made the space feel cramped again.

"When are you expanding the house again?" Robin asked, adjusting the table to optimize the room's flow.

"Not anyti soon—I'm broke," Ron admitted, setting breakfast on the table. "Eat yet? Join us?"

"Already did," Robin said, waving it off.

Ron poured her a glass of ice water and stirred in so Berry jam, handing it over.

"Ah, thanks!" Robin took a seat.

Ron pulled a chair closer, then called the Pokémon inside. They filed in one by one.

Most needed chairs to climb onto the table—except Froakie, who could hop up easily. Due to their builds, they all ate directly on the tabletop… except Indeedee.

Indeedee gave Robin an elegant bow, politely pulled out its chair, and sat down properly.

"What's this one?" Robin asked. She'd noticed it during the farm-helping night but hadn't asked then.

"Indeedee."

"Indeedee~" Indeedee blinked at Robin, then used Psychic to float dishes onto the table.

"Is this its ability? That's so handy!" Robin said—just as a small plate of sliced Berries floated to her.

"Indeedee!"

"Oh! For ? Thank you!" Robin caught the fork hovering before her and smiled at Indeedee.

After breakfast, Robin built the second Chicken Coop beside the first, per Ron's instructions.

Ron handled a bit of watering, then left for the Blacksmith's via Mine Cart.

Clint had just opened shop when Ron arrived. Since Ron had ntioned needing machines earlier, Clint quickly located the blueprints.

Beyond the at processor, they also needed a packaging machine. Once built, it would use Oak Resin to produce 'plastic wrap' for vacuum-sealing poultry.

Good news: Resin consumption was low—one batch yielded ~100 packages. Otherwise, Ron would've worried about sourcing resin.

He'd borrowed Combee from Viola before—but without her permission, he hadn't bred a copy with Ditto.

Still, he could use basic Tappers to collect resin, albeit less efficiently.

That was fine—the Kegs wouldn't be ready for nine more days anyway.

Also, unlike the ga, neither Tappers nor Kegs auto-packaged outputs. The liquid ca loose, requiring separate bottling.

Fortunately, Clint could build a bottling machine too—Gabriel had clearly planned ahead.

"Once these are done," Ron pointed to the bottle-making machine, "add this next."

"Got it," Clint nodded. "I'll deliver it ASAP."

With preparations underway, Ron returned to the farm.

The new Coop was finished yesterday. The recently hatched chickens had matured, so Ron had Sebastian move them in. Today, Clint delivered the at processor.

Ron loaded three chickens into the machine, added Oak Resin to the packaging unit, and waited.

This could sell in Pelican Town too, he thought. at was scarce here—fish was the only source.

But to avoid hurting Marnie's ranch or making Sebastian uncomfortable, Ron planned to re-import the at via Joy's shop—labeling it as "Kalos specialty product."

For now, he focused on fulfilling Kalos orders.

The chickens erged as neatly packaged cuts. Ron gathered them, plus eggs, Kalos vegetables, and Crab Potot seafood, and headed to the Nursery's computer.

The Kalos-tech terminal could send both Pokémon and goods.

He loaded everything into the transporter and hit SEND.

---

anwhile, in Kalos…

Léon, the food company rep, had been eagerly awaiting Ron's first shipnt.

From past dealings with Gabriel's farm, he knew Pelican Town held secrets:

– Unavailable animal ats

– Crops maturing far faster than Kalos farms (even with Grass-type Pokémon using Grassy Terrain, Sunny Day, or Rain Dance)

He'd estimated the first harvest would arrive now. To impress the new farr, headquarters approved a huge budget for this partnership.

Just as Léon paced impatiently, the machine beeped.

A ssage appeared—and a pile of vegetables, plus vacuum-sealed at packs, materialized on the conveyor.
