Now reading: Chapter 1007 - 1006: Roasted Scorpion from Pokémon: Chronicles of Freedom (Re-Upload), a Fantasy novel by GoldenDragonKing.

It was no wonder that previous Venusaur had behaved with such arrogance.

Turns out, he had the backing of two incredibly powerful allies.

And it’s also no surprise that the Bulbasaur and Ivysaur in the group could wander around so freely in search of food.

Even in this mysterious space, where the levels of wild Pokémon are very high, two Elite-level Pokémon are without a doubt dominant presences.

However, thinking about this, Cain slightly furrowed his brow.

"In a forest like this, it shouldn’t be so easy for two Elite-level Pokémon to appear..." Cain murmured, pondering.

If it were a trainer with two Pokémon of that level, there would be nothing strange about it; after all, trainers can seek out resources from everywhere for their Pokémon.

Or even if it were just one wild Pokémon that had reached that level, Cain would understand that too.

With enough talent, plus a long accumulation of energy and a bit of luck, it’s possible for a wild Pokémon to reach Elite level.

But for two wild Pokémon at Elite level to suddenly appear, and to also be a pair... that borders on the impossible.

Moreover, in this Venusaur group, all of them have extraordinarily large bodies.

Let’s not even talk about the previous Venusaur... these two Pokémon now were even more imposing.

For a group to have one or two individuals of abnormal size is acceptable, but two at the sa ti, a couple, and both Elite-level... the probability is almost zero.

So Cain ca to a conclusion: "There must be sothing special about this Venusaur group."

Maybe it’s a natural treasure, or perhaps so kind of mysterious energy source. In any case, this group isn’t normal.

With his interest piqued, Cain knew he first had to deal with these two Venusaur.

But that wasn’t a problem. On the contrary, it was exactly what he wanted.

If he could capture these two Venusaur, his island would have two true guardian deities, and on top of that, with power far superior to any regular Venusaur.

They wouldn’t just help him improve the infrastructure of his island, but also enforce order among the Pokémon under his rules.

And if a wild Pokémon or even a human happened to stray onto the island, there would be nothing to worry about.

The island’s security would increase exponentially.

Besides, the quality of these two Venusaur was excellent; their future offspring were very promising.

With Cain’s intervention, he could even achieve efficient and stable Bulbasaur production.

That way, he wouldn’t have to invest as much ti in initial breeding. Even if he didn’t sell the Bulbasaur, they would still serve to optimize the island.

Both Venusaur had mastered the move Grassy Terrain, so their descendants had a high probability of inheriting that move.

They were the perfect puzzle piece for Cain’s island.

Though, looking at their faces now, it seed neither Venusaur had a particularly good temperant.

Probably, the impression Cain gave them wasn’t very positive...

But that didn’t matter. Once subdued, there are always ways to train them.

"Looks like the battle you’ve been waiting for has finally arrived," Cain said to the Drapion beneath his feet.

With that, he leapt off Drapion’s back.

Drapion looked excited. Finally, the long-awaited confrontation had co.

Aggron and Blaziken also showed so excitent, although they knew that in their current state, they were no match for those two Venusaur.

Even so, after defeating the previous Venusaur, Aggron had reached level 51 and Blaziken rose to level 53.

After all, they had been the ones participating most in battle so far.

But sending only Drapion against two Venusaur was impossible.

No matter how skilled Cain was at issuing commands, if the difference in power was too great, there would be no room to maneuver.

Therefore, Cain threw two more Poké Balls: Slowking and Florges appeared on the field.

And from his shadow, Gengar also naturally erged at his side.

A full team battle! No fear.

Cain considered calling out Honchkrow and Weavile too, since both had type advantage, but after thinking for a mont, he decided not to.

The main reason was safety, but also because if he relied too much on numbers, it would later be harder to earn the Venusaur’s respect and ta them.

"Slowking, Nasty Plot!"

"Drapion, Hone Claws!"

"Gengar, Copy Drapion’s ability!"

"Florges, Lucky Chant!" Cain ordered calmly.

Just as he finished speaking, two powerful beams of light shot out from the Venusaur!

Elite-level Solar Beam!

Slowking instantly appeared beside Cain and used Teleport to get him out of the way just in ti to dodge the attack.

Cain’s eyes glowed with psychic energy.

He had detected the attack imdiately and sent telepathic instructions to his Pokémon.

Gengar instantly hid underground.

And Florges, after changing her type to Grass, activated Flower Shield and directly withstood the attack.

Drapion, on the other hand, didn’t even try to dodge or block it.

The best defense is a good offense!

With his pincers and tail, he used combined moves to endure one of the attacks.

As the light faded, his claws and tail released so smoke, and his purple shell had a faint reddish hue.

This is too much!

Trying to roast ?!

Drapion, furious, not even lanting the damage to his body, began advancing on all fours toward the Venusaur.

One versus two, without hesitation.

As Drapion charged, Slowking wrapped him in psychic power, further increasing his speed.

It was a new combat tactic Cain had trained with his team.

Slowking switched to a support role, enhancing the actions and offensive burst of his teammates before joining in the direct assault.

With this, he turned his individual advantage into a team advantage.

That way, he could integrate perfectly into either of Cain’s two main formations: the Rain team or the Sandstorm team.

Florges, after resisting the previous attack with Flower Shield, was also fine.

She raised her hands and enveloped Drapion in a layer of colorful energy.
