Now reading: Chapter 1406 - 1402: Domain War from Pokémon: Chronicles of Freedom (Re-Upload), a Fantasy novel by GoldenDragonKing.

Jacob’s Leafeon had a very high level, reaching level 87, and its quality had also reached the color Purple.

Among all of Cain’s opponents, this was the highest-level Pokémon he had ever seen, which put a certain amount of pressure on him.

The only thing that aroused enormous curiosity in Cain was how this Leafeon had evolved; but if he wanted to know, it would only be possible after the battle.

He summoned three more Pokémon again: Slowking, Gengar, and Darkrai, which returned to the battlefield once more.

Cain no longer hid any of his strength. The opponent was clearly superior to him in raw power, and if he continued to conceal the existence of Darkrai, he could end up in a truly passive situation.

However, Darkrai’s appearance once again produced a certain deterrent effect on the opponent.

After all, as a legendary Pokémon, even after remaining here for twenty-five years, the respect ingrained by habit toward this type of Pokémon was sothing impossible to erase.

But Cain’s action of summoning Pokémon did not stop there. He summoned Drapion, Florges, Diancie, and Magearna again; added to Salance and Gardevoir, who had been by his side from the beginning, this truly beca a battle of twelve Pokémon.

Cain’s strength was practically fully deployed!

Because it wasn’t only Leafeon; if the two Venusaur and the three ganium were added, all of them exerted enormous pressure on him. Among them, one Venusaur and one ganium had already fully crossed the threshold into the Champion level.

"Frenzy Plant!" Jacob narrowed his eyes when he saw that Cain had summoned so many Pokémon.

However, he wasn’t overly worried, because the Pokémon summoned afterward, one by one, did not display an especially strong presence and did not pose a considerable threat to him.

On the contrary, those that appeared at the beginning—Tyranitar, Aggron, and Blaziken—as well as the Darkrai that erged later, did give him no small shock.

Frenzy Plant is a Grass-type move, but in this case it wasn’t about the Pokémon using a Grass-type move, but rather about his own tactic.

Just as Cain had created a sandstorm domain with Tyranitar’s ability as its core, he also wanted to use his Grass-type Pokémon as the core to create a Grass-type terrain, or rather a vegetal terrain, thereby reducing the influence of the sandstorm on them.

After all, this was red sand; the temperature was too high, and all Grass-type Pokémon would feel uncomfortable under the interference of the red sand.

A large amount of green vegetation sprouted beneath the feet of his six Pokémon. Shoots and sprouts erged from the ground, and almost in the blink of an eye grew into trees as tall as a person, and with another blink they had already reached the size of normal trees.

Jacob slowly descended from the air and stepped onto the soft grass. Around him grew a cage ford by vines, carefully protecting him from the interference of all kinds of attacks. Added to this was his own psychic ability, not inferior to Cain’s, which allowed him to foresee danger to a certain extent.

This ti, even if Cain’s Tyranitar were to use the move Precipice Blades again, it might not necessarily be able to cause him a great impact. With the protection of six Pokémon, if he were still hit, where would his prestige be?

From the outermost vegetation began the resistance to the impact of the red sand, quickly recovering after taking so damage, and rapidly spreading even farther outward, with the clear intention of forcing a change from the red sand domain to the grass domain.

This was a great battle of domains. Although it seed that the Pokémon on both sides had not yet attacked, in reality the battle had already begun. Everything depended on whether Tyranitar’s red sand domain could prevail, or whether the grass territory with Leafeon as its core could gain the upper hand.

Whichever domain took the lead would grant an enormous advantage to its own side, and could even influence the course of the battle.

Cain watched as the grass terrain within the red sand domain grew larger and larger, then looked at the ga Tyranitar gritting its teeth to resist the erosion.

If it weren’t because this place was originally a desert, and if it weren’t because the red sand was infused with the Fire type, exerting a certain restraint on the Grass type, the combined energy of six Champion-level Grass-type Pokémon on the opponent’s side might have been able to change the terrain of almost any place nearly instantly.

But Cain felt neither surprise nor helplessness.

In his view, the opponent ought to possess exactly that level of strength to be worthy of twenty-five years of growth in this place; even so, Cain felt a certain dissatisfaction with his current power.

Too much ti wasted: twenty-five years to reach only this level. If Cain were given twenty-five years, he believed that he could at least confront trainers of Giovanni’s level head-on, becoming one of the most powerful existences in the Pokémon world.

And if he didn’t feel helpless, it was because Cain had already thought of a solution.

He looked at Gengar, who was wearing a malicious smile.

In an instant, Gengar understood the intention, and a dark red glow appeared in its eyes, lingering for a long, long ti.

All the Pokémon enveloped by Gengar’s strange energy caused large amounts of yellow sand to rise around them; then, under the control of ga Tyranitar, that sand transford in the blink of an eye into blazing grains of red sand, as if carrying scorching heat, and was thrown directly into the red sand domain.

From Aggron, to Darkrai and Gengar itself, and finally to Salance and Gardevoir.

All the Pokémon, except Blaziken, under the combination of Gengar’s move Role Play and the move Skill Swap, transford their original abilities into the ability Sand Stream.

All of a sudden, more than a dozen Pokémon with the Sand Stream ability appeared on the field. The red sand already flying chaotically throughout the sky greatly hindered vision, and even greater quantities of sand and dust rose around the Pokémon at Cain’s side.

Although not all Pokémon were accustod to using the Sand Stream ability, the quantitative change produced a qualitative change, especially under the Sand Stream abilities of Champion-level Pokémon such as Gengar, Darkrai, Slowking, and Aggron.

A gigantic sandstorm, with the place where Cain stood as its core, erupted frantically, instantly covering the entire red sand domain. The already vast red sand domain expanded like an inflating balloon, increasing to more than twice its size, and the amount of sand within the domain also increased to more than double.
