"Hmph! Who said I'm crazy? Since you two don't want to participate no matter what, then I really don't want to participate either. But you should know what happens when an attack of this level hits that barrier, right?" Tony snorted, utterly calm.

He knew that, with his current strength, even if he attacked by force, he wouldn't be able to break Marcus's resolute defense—much less with Cain ready to intervene at any mont.

Since that's the case, then flip the table! Let no one get anything, let everyone leave empty-handed!

Evidently, even Cain hadn't foreseen this. He thought that only he had the ability to flip the table, because he believed he had grasped the vital point of the other two.

Who would have imagined that Tony would also flip the table and stop playing altogether?

Marcus's hatred was indescribable. He thought he had already been extrely irrational just monts ago, but he hadn't expected to run into two people even more reckless.

One had the power to flip the table at any ti and, after much effort, he had managed to placate him; the other, who didn't even have the right to participate on the board and was rely a spectator—turned out to also have the ability to flip the table!

The bitterness in Marcus's heart had existed since he entered the continent, but not only had that taste not faded with ti—it had grown more and more intense, to the point that he now felt like vomiting.

BOOM!!!

BOOM!!!

Seeing that Marcus didn't stop him, Tony's enthusiasm surged again, and he began to wildly bombard the barrier.

The waves of counterattacking energy from the barrier made it extrely difficult for both Cain and Marcus to withstand.

But Tony wasn't foolish either. After venting with several attacks, he used teleportation and disappeared from the place. If he stayed any longer, those two terrifying gods would arrive; Tony had no intention of personally experiencing the power of those two dreadful legendary Pokémon again.

Marcus stared with hatred at the empty sky where Tony had vanished and, gritting his teeth, charged toward the barrier together with his Greninja, taking advantage of the fact that Giratina's Reverse Scale was still in effect.

He didn't know whether removing the scale from the barrier would cause it to lose its original effect, but protecting it was far better than losing it completely.

However, when he rushed forward, Gengar spread its arms and blocked his path. The malicious smile on its face remained unchanged, but the determination in its eyes was unmistakable.

Seeing Gengar's action, Marcus understood Cain's intention: he wanted to continue! He wasn't willing to give up when they were so close!

Clearly, Cain was the one who needed what was inside the least, yet just when Tony and Marcus wanted to give up, Cain insisted on pushing forward.

"Boy! Do you know that an attack of that level is enough to draw Dialga and Palkia back here again?"

"There's no need for to remind you of the power of those two legendary Pokémon! If you don't want to die, retreat right now!" Marcus shouted at Cain.

Hearing this, Cain ignored him completely and shouted to the six visibly nervous Pokémon, "Continue!"

As he stared intently at Giratina's Reverse Scale and the barrier that was just one step away from breaking, a chain of strange symbols appeared on the back of his right wrist, emitting a dazzling light. However, Marcus paid no attention to Cain's wrist.

A faint smile appeared on Cain's face. Without arousing suspicion, he glanced at the Unown glowing and burning on his wrist and murmured, "I've bet everything on you, little ones. If what's inside fails to impress , then you're going to have a hard ti!"

Although he felt so tension, what dominated was intense excitent. He was betting that Dialga and Palkia wouldn't arrive so quickly.

After all, the last ti, Marcus and Tony had also fought for a while before those two legendary Pokémon appeared.

But Cain was willing to take the risk, while Marcus didn't want to accompany him. Seeing that Cain wouldn't yield even a little, Marcus stopped worrying about everything else. This loss was sothing he was not willing to accept.

"Greninja!" Marcus shouted to his Pokémon in a deep voice.

"Kuga!" Greninja responded, releasing massive amounts of water. With a swing of its arms, it ford two water shurikens and hurled them at Gengar.

Gengar narrowed its eyes; that attack made it feel pressure.

But Cain, as its trainer, knew perfectly well what Gengar was about to face, so the Key Stone was already prepared.

Gengar's body erupted in a multicolored radiance, causing Greninja's attack to halt for an instant. And in that instant, what t it was the enormous fist of ga Gengar, the size of a sandbag.

Seeing Gengar complete its ga Evolution in an instant, Marcus frowned.

Clearly, he hadn't seen them use a Divine Stone, so how was it possible that Cain's Gengar could complete the infusion of divine power in such a short ti?

But there was no ti to think about that. If they delayed any longer, those two legendary Pokémon would truly erase them without rcy.

Marcus threw two Poké Balls at the sa ti, passing over Gengar. From them erged Mightyena and Krookodile, which charged straight at Cain.

anwhile, Greninja clung tightly to ga Gengar, preventing it from returning to assist its trainer.

However, Marcus was mistaken: Gengar never had any intention of going back to support him. Beside Cain were companions he could trust completely!

Cain didn't even turn around. His eyes remained fixed on Giratina's Reverse Scale on the barrier, sensing the energy fluctuations and the changes throughout the entire structure.

"Auuuu!" Mightyena didn't distinguish between human or Pokémon. It opened its jaws and bit directly toward Cain's neck, while Krookodile swung its claws and attacked imdiately after.

Bang!

Bang!

Two dull sounds rang out, and the attacks of Mightyena and Krookodile ca to a sudden halt.

From the shadow behind Cain, two black claws erged. One directly seized the neck of Mightyena, which was midair, and the other grabbed Krookodile's claw.

The attacks of both Pokémon were completely stopped. From their expressions, it was clear that they couldn't break free from those claws—firm as steel rings—no matter how hard they struggled.
