Soon, the characteristic aroma of Cain’s roasted at began spreading across the field.
Cain’s Pokémon, drawn by the scent, started to gather around him. The five little ones, in particular, abandoned whatever they were doing to rush to his side, watching his every move as they waited for the at to be fully cooked.
The two Swablu that had been playing with them also hurried over, captivated by the tempting aroma they had never encountered before.
With a smile on his face, Cain continued putting the final touches on the at. Even Altaria, who occasionally kept an eye on her two young ones from the corner of her eye, couldn’t help but take notice.
The two Swablu fluttered their cotton-candy-like white wings as they hovered around Cain. Their curiosity was imnse about this mysterious creature they had never seen before, who seed to be the source of this delightful scent.
Cain glanced at the Swablu and used his system to gather their data.

A male and a female—this Altaria had truly beco an exceptional mother. Moreover, both Swablu had clearly inherited their mother’s great potential, showing no significant weaknesses.
However, there were differences in the inheritance and lineage of the two Swablu.
Although Cain didn’t know who their father was, he assud it must have been a high-quality Flying-type Pokémon with strong abilities, given how distinctly different the two were.
The level 16 male Swablu seed to have inherited the father’s Flying-type abilities, with a natural aptitude for learning Flying-type moves, whether through egg moves or training. This demonstrated a strong affinity for the Flying type.
At his young age of level 16, he had already learned Sky Attack from Altaria, indicating a promising future for Flying-type moves.
On the other hand, the female Swablu appeared to have inherited her mother’s talent in Dragon-type energy.
She had great potential in Dragon-type energy, having learned moves like Outrage—sothing only Pokémon with exceptional Dragon lineage could achieve. Her ceiling in the Dragon type would be much higher.
The difference between the two was clear and would define their future developnt.
The Swablu specializing in Flying would be better suited for early growth, both in its current form and after evolving into Altaria, as the Flying type would remain a core part of its identity.
This would allow it to maintain stable performance even in its weaker stages.
However, the female Swablu, though starting weaker due to her Dragon-type affinity, would gain more power after evolving. Once evolved, the Dragon type would begin to surpass the Flying type, becoming her defining strength.
The most significant factor was that Altaria could ga Evolve, transforming into a Dragon/Fairy Pokémon. This change would ensure that the Dragon type remained central to her identity, allowing her to unleash her full potential.
Of course, none of this had anything to do with Cain at that mont. He was simply making a rational analysis of the Swablu’s future.
If he had to choose one, he would probably go for the Dragon-specialized Swablu. But this was rely a thought, as the powerful Altaria was still watching them from a distance.
If Altaria weren’t present, Cain wouldn’t hesitate to try capturing both Swablu. He’d be foolish to choose just one! As a good trainer, he would obviously want both.
He only considered it briefly since he was still under the mother’s watchful gaze. If Altaria knew what he was thinking, she would probably tear him apart with Outrage.

Aron and Larvitar, with their thick and sturdy hides, didn’t care how hot the at was. They grabbed it imdiately, taking huge bites, their faces showing utter satisfaction.
The two Swablu, seeing Larvitar and Aron enjoying the food, couldn’t resist taking a small peck at the giant piece of at.
Larvitar, noticing what they were doing, quickly hid his at behind him along with his bag, eyeing the Swablu cautiously.
Playing was fine, but food was personal.
That was what Larvitar’s expression seed to say.
However, the Swablu didn’t back down—probably because...
They had burned their mouths.
Unlike Larvitar, they couldn’t handle eating such hot food. But the taste they had gotten made their eyes sparkle.
Happy and excited, they looked at Cain, wanting to say sothing but unable to because their mouths were full of roasted at.
Seeing the excited Swablu with their mouths full, Cain chuckled softly and offered them the portion he had prepared for them.
With a small gesture, he made them understand that this was their share.
The Swablu closed their eyes in bliss. This ti, they didn’t rush to eat but carefully fanned the at with their wings, cooling it before savoring it bit by bit.
