Key Stone!
Although the Key Stone is relatively less rare compared to the ga Stone, it remains quite valuable to Cain.
For a Pokémon to achieve ga Evolution, both the Key Stone and the ga Stone are essential.
Of course, cases like Ash and his Greninja are an exception, purely the result of "protagonist’s aura."
Cain extended his hand and took the Key Stone from the small box. Its colorful surface bore a sort of black pattern that resembled a dark eye or perhaps a strange symbol.
At this point in ti, ga Evolution has yet to be discovered, so the true value of the Key Stone remains unknown.
"Thank you, Steven! Although I don’t know exactly what this stone does, I feel like it holds a power that will allow to achieve sothing unexpected," Cain said as he returned the stone to the box.
Lying without batting an eye was already a skill Cain had completely mastered.
Steven waved his hand and replied, "There’s no need to thank . Even though I’ve never seen a stone like this before, compared to the two ancient Pokémon fossils you gave last ti, this stone seems insignificant."
While the Key Stone looked rather peculiar, without a ga Stone to activate it, it was just a brightly colored marble.
In terms of real value, it’s true that the two ancient Pokémon fossils are worth more than a Key Stone, though the difference isn’t as vast as Steven believes.
Of course, if it were a ga Stone, then their values would be roughly equal.
After all, not everyone has the capability to revive an ancient Pokémon.
"Alright, you can leave those two Pokémon to . I’ll give you a satisfactory answer," Cain said, easily agreeing to Steven’s request after obtaining the Key Stone.
They were just two Pokémon, and though they were ancient Pokémon, with the system in his possession and all the training information he had obtained from old Matsuda, there was nothing to worry about.
All it took was analyzing them and calculating the best training thod and the appropriate Pokéblock recipe for them.
With that, Steven took out two Luxury Balls and placed them in front of Cain.
Inside were the newly revived Anorith and Lileep.
Cain activated the system and briefly scanned their data.

The qualities of these two Pokémon surprised Cain, as both achieved blue-level quality. Anorith had a dark blue tone, while Lileep was blue.
It makes sense that these Pokémon managed to survive since ancient tis. They were probably the most outstanding of their species.
Perhaps, due to their high quality, the strongest Pokémon in their tribes protected them to preserve a minimal chance of survival for the species.
Therefore, it wasn’t entirely surprising that these two Pokémon had such qualities.
Cain couldn’t help but admire Steven’s luck. Reviving ancient Pokémon carries certain risks, and the fact that Steven managed to bring them back was pure good fortune.
Anorith evolves into Armaldo, and Lileep into Cradily. Both are excellent Pokémon.
Armaldo, being Rock Bug type, has weaknesses like Rock, Steel, and Water types. However, its sturdy armor and defensive capability make it a formidable physical tank, while its specialty is physical attack.
It’s a strong frontal attacker, and its ability, Battle Armor, prevents it from being taken out with a single critical hit.
Of course, Armaldo also has a hidden ability, Swift Swim, which makes it a great physical attacker for a rain-based team.
As for Cradily, a Rock Grass type, it’s an excellent addition to Steven’s team, as he has always had a preference for Steel and Rock types. Having a Grass-type Pokémon compensates for his weakness in that area, much like Cain managed to do with his Floette.
In truth, these two Pokémon don’t perfectly fit into Steven’s current team, but that’s not a problem since he values them.
Although both Pokémon can beco very powerful, Cain knows that in the future, he’ll need to advise Steven to catch other Pokémon better suited for his team to avoid disadvantages in battles.
For example, a Ground Steel Pokémon like Excadrill would be a perfect addition to Steven’s team.
It has only one small flaw.
It’s not imposing enough!
Steven’s current team, with tagross, Aggron, and Skarmory, is composed of truly impressive Pokémon. The contrast between Steven and his Pokémon results in a combination that intimidates opponents.
In the future, Armaldo will also be quite an imposing Pokémon.
If possible, Steven could also catch a Scizor or a Steelix. Not only do they fit his style, but both can ga Evolve, further strengthening Steven’s team.
A Steven modified by Cain, specializing in Steel types, would probably be the most powerful champion of all.
At that point, facing legendary Pokémon would no longer be a dream.
While these thoughts ran through Cain’s mind, he concluded that having Steven as a champion would only bring benefits, as long as his true identity remained hidden.
"Leave them with for a few days. I’ll give you a satisfactory answer," Cain said, putting away the Poké Balls with a smile.
"Of course, I trust you completely," Steven responded without hesitation.
"When do you plan to return to the Devon Corporation? You’ve been avoiding several tasks. They’ve even called asking about you," Cain said, taking out his phone and waving it in front of Steven.
Over the past week since Cain had returned, the Devon Corporation had called multiple tis asking about Steven.
Now, everyone at the Devon Corporation knew Cain was friends with their future president. When they couldn’t find Steven, they preferred to ask Cain.
Steven rubbed his forehead in resignation. "They’re always the sa... Look, I’ll stay a few more days in Leafy Town, but don’t tell anyone. When you finish researching these little ones, I’ll go back, but don’t rush; take your ti."
"Hey! That’s taking advantage of ! Are you using as your shield?" Cain looked at Steven, who had already settled comfortably on the couch, and couldn’t help feeling frustrated.
"Don’t worry, the elders in the family love that I spend ti with you. With the Breeders’ Guild coming to Hoenn thanks to you, they just want to seize the opportunity. They’re a bunch of cunning old folks," Steven said as he made himself comfortable on the couch.
