Now reading: Chapter 799: Azelf from Pokémon: Chronicles of Freedom (Re-Upload), a Fantasy novel by GoldenDragonKing.

Upon hearing the word "Azelf," a burst of intense psychic energy imdiately exploded from Alakazam’s body. The tall trees and nearby bushes shook violently, as if struck by an invisible gust of wind.

In response, Cain showed no signs of concern. On the contrary, a small smile ford on his face. Gently patting the Slowking beside him on the shoulder, he calmly reassured it.

As he expected, the being behind the warning was none other than Azelf, the God of Willpower and mber of the legendary lake trio.

Several monts passed before Alakazam managed to control his energy and relax. He took a deep breath, and his voice echoed once again in Cain’s mind—this ti with a solemn and commanding tone: "Do not speak the na of the great lord so casually."

Cain nodded calmly, not taking the warning too seriously. To him, it wasn’t sothing that warranted such caution. After all, he had even explored w’s dwelling.

Compared to that, Azelf stood on the sa level as the Regis—though clearly, the Azelf on this island appeared to be a true god, with an actual divine function.

"I didn’t co here by choice," Cain explained, raising his right arm and showing the symbols on his wrist. "These little ones are the ones who brought to this island."

The Unown.

Alakazam fixed his gaze on the symbols forming the letters on Cain’s wrist, frowning imdiately.

"Them again...," Alakazam began, but abruptly interrupted his telepathy, as if sothing more important had co to mind.

After a few monts of silence, his voice returned to Cain’s mind: "If they brought you here, follow ."

Cain was slightly surprised by the response but decided not to ask further. He nodded calmly and prepared to follow. However, he extended his own psychic energy to try and communicate with the four Unown, attempting to understand what had led them to this island. Their responses were confusing and fragnted, and he couldn’t decipher their true purpose.

From Alakazam’s initial words, it was clear that this wasn’t the first ti the Unown had appeared in this place. Sohow, Alakazam knew them.

"The Pokémon you carry is promising. Would you consider leaving her here to grow? This place would be ideal for her developnt, and her potential could fully blossom," Alakazam said, suddenly shifting the conversation toward the Ralts egg Cain was carrying.

Cain showed no signs of annoyance at the proposal. Ever since Alakazam appeared, its eyes hadn’t left the egg, aning it must have sensed the exceptional talent of the Pokémon about to be born.

With a smile, Cain shook his head. "I’m sorry, but that won’t be possible. This Pokémon is crucial to , and in the future, she’ll be a very important companion."

Alakazam didn’t insist. He had made the suggestion only because he could perceive a powerful psychic energy emanating from the egg—sothing extrely rare in an unborn Pokémon.

"Prepare yourselves. We will teleport imdiately," Alakazam announced, surrounding Cain and his Pokémon with his psychic energy.

Before doing so, he made sure that Slowking wouldn’t resist, as even the slightest opposition could cause the Teleport move to fail. Alakazam wasn’t just stronger than Slowking—he also had far greater control over his energy.

With a flash, they all vanished.

When Cain opened his eyes again, he stood at the edge of a great lake. The scenery had completely changed. This lake, located in the center of the mysterious island, was the most prominent location in the entire area.

The energy radiating from the lake was imnse. With his psychic sensitivity, Cain could feel that every drop of water contained a unique concentration of energy.

In the center of the lake, floating less than a ter above the surface, was a pale pink cloud. The cloud looked light and soft, as if floating effortlessly in the air. Resting upon it was a small figure—a Pokémon that seed fused with the cloud, using it as a bed.

Cain fixed his gaze on the Pokémon and recognized it imdiately.

It was Azelf, the God of Willpower and a mber of the legendary lake trio, the one who embodied and represented the force of will.

Azelf had a unique appearance: a blue, hood-shaped head crowned by a glowing red gem radiating energy. Its small gray body was accompanied by two long tails ending in fan-like shapes. At the ends of its tails were embedded two dark red gems, which according to legend, were its weak points.

However, this knowledge was a secret known to few, and Cain knew it thanks to rumors he’d heard about the legendary lake trio.

Azelf’s appearance vaguely resembled w, prompting Cain to wonder whether there might be so sort of connection between them.

At that mont, Azelf seed to be asleep, but its slightly furrowed brow suggested it wasn’t having a peaceful dream.

After bringing Cain and his Pokémon to the location, Alakazam stood to the side in a respectful posture, almost like a butler. Cain, in contrast, observed Azelf without restraint, though this didn’t seem to please Alakazam.

Slowking, being a psychic-type Pokémon, was more aware than Cain of the overwhelming energy emanating from Azelf. Compared to Azelf, his own energy felt insignificant—like that of a child in the presence of a giant.

anwhile, Honchkrow and Weavile, both dark-type Pokémon, began to show signs of discomfort. Although naturally immune to psychic energy, the intensity here was beyond their limits.

Noticing their unease, Cain returned them to their Pokéballs, allowing them to rest. Both Pokémon appreciated the gesture before disappearing in a flash of light.

Cain knew that for the mont, there was no imdiate danger. However, he also understood that if Azelf decided to attack, there would be no way to resist.

This Azelf was unlike any other legendary Pokémon. It possessed a divine function, making it a true god. Even the Regis couldn’t compare to a legendary Pokémon of this magnitude.

Seeing that Azelf remained asleep, Cain turned his attention to the lake and its surroundings, examining them carefully. There was sothing more to this place—sothing he still couldn’t decipher.

Who could possibly have their own island in such a mysterious dinsion? Certainly not just anyone.
