Slowking used the move Teleport along with Cain to catch up with one of the Team Void mbers who had separated from the group. This was the individual who had initially proposed launching a surprise attack on Team Heaven.
As soon as the Teleport move ended, Cain imdiately began chasing him. The man was accompanied by a Seviper, keeping a safe distance to ensure his security. During that ti, Cain gathered data on the opponent’s Pokémon.
It was a Seviper with Green-tier quality and at level 29. It hadn’t even reached level 30. Where did this guy get the confidence to think he could attack Team Heaven?
Perhaps they still viewed Team Heaven as if it were the old Black Snake Gang. If that were the case, it might make a bit of sense. But could today’s Team Heaven really be compared to the forr Black Snake Gang?
The leadership was completely different!
For soone as insignificant as that individual, it wasn’t even necessary for Slowking to intervene. Cain didn’t bother to attack by surprise. Instead, he openly stepped into his path.
When the Team Void mber saw Cain appear out of nowhere, he reacted quickly. Without saying a word, he ordered his Seviper to attack while calling out the rest of his Pokémon.
This showed that, although the Team Void mber lacked great power, he did have so survival skills in the wild.
Cain, of course, was already prepared. This opponent’s Pokémon would serve as practice for Larvitar, Aron, and the others.
When the Team Void mber summoned his four Pokémon and saw the ones Cain sent onto the battlefield, he was completely stunned.
What had he just seen?
A Larvitar and a Bagon, both pseudo-legendary Pokémon, accompanied by an Aron and a Horsea, both extrely rare species, and a Combusken, one of Hoenn’s starter Pokémon.
The mont he saw them, the man’s eyes filled with greed.
To him, Cain looked like a young League trainer, possibly from a powerful and prestigious family. A trainer carrying two pseudo-legendary Pokémon couldn’t possibly be of ordinary origin.
If he could steal those Pokémon...
Imdiately, his mind began to craft a plan. If he could steal those Pokémon, who would care about Team Heaven or Team Void? He could vanish, travel sowhere remote, and train quietly.
When those Pokémon evolved, he would be a master in his own right.
The greed in his eyes intensified.
Cain, observing his expression, understood exactly what was going through his mind. With a slight smile, he thought: "This guy might know how to survive in the wild, but he’s clearly not very smart."
Even if Cain were just an average young League mber, soone with Pokémon like those would never be without protection.
Shaking his head, Cain stopped wasting ti. The opponent’s four Pokémon began advancing toward him, and Cain gave his commands:
"Larvitar, use Stealth Rock and then Rock Slide."
"Aron, go in with tal Claw."
"Combusken, charge with Fla Charge."
"Bagon, attack with Dragon Breath."
"Horsea, use Water Gun."
Cain had trained his Pokémon to work as a perfectly coordinated team. Four of them could use Dragon-type moves, a clear sign of the dragon blood running through their veins.
So trainers thought that the introduction of the Fairy type was a devastating blow to Dragon-type Pokémon.
However, what many overlooked was that the true strength of Dragon Pokémon didn’t lie solely in their powerful moves, but also in their incredibly resilient bodies.
Larvitar, who had the greatest energy control thanks to the Fragnt of Groudon’s armor it carried, was in charge of deploying Stealth Rock. This move slowed the enemy Pokémon’s advance.
Aron, the toughest of them all, led the front line with tal Claw, facing off against the Seviper without fear.
Combusken, who had significantly improved its speed during daily training, used Fla Charge to further boost its agility.
Bagon, though still young, showed impressive control over Dragon Breath, one of its most reliable moves at this stage.
Finally, Horsea, although used to battling in water, demonstrated its ability to adapt to the terrain and launched precise attacks from solid ground.
Cain’s team was a perfectly synchronized machine. Even though the enemy Pokémon looked physically larger, they were no match for the strength and strategy of Cain’s team. The opponents fell one after another.
This battle left Cain’s Pokémon excited. Larvitar, in particular, showed overwhelming enthusiasm and seed eager for more fights.
Cain, on the other hand, eliminated the Team Void mber without hesitation and used the ability of the Unown to create an alternate space to dispose of the body. This space wasn’t only useful for storing objects, but also for erasing evidence. An invaluable ability for soone in his position.
With each battle, Cain’s little Pokémon continued to grow and display extraordinary progress.
