Despite his old age, as a Fighting-type Pokémon trainer, his body remained strong. With a swift motion, he jumped from the bed to his feet.
Without wasting a second, he grabbed two Poké Balls beside his bed and ran straight to the library, not even putting on his shoes.
He never would have imagined that soone would infiltrate the Tower of Mastery.
Since the decline of his family, there weren’t many valuable things left in the tower.
The only things he considered truly important were those special stones passed down through his family.
The aura barrier had been triggered!
As he ran through the halls, he sensed a presence and, without hesitation, threw two Poké Balls.
A Blaziken and a Lucario appeared in the corridor.
Not far from him, a shadow floated in the darkness, preparing to strike: it was a Gengar.
Upon seeing Gengar, Gurkinn’s face darkened even more.
The intruder was well-prepared. He knew Gurkinn specialized in Fighting-type Pokémon and had brought a Ghost-type Pokémon to interfere.
"Blaziken, Flathrower!"

Physical attacks weren’t the best option against a Ghost-type like Gengar, but special attacks were another matter.
Gengar saw the wave of fire and the blue energy sphere cutting through the flas unaffected.
Quickly, he launched two Shadow Balls and slid along the wall, fleeing toward the library.

The explosions echoed throughout the tower.
The noise awakened everyone on the island, and soon, lights began to turn on one by one.
Multiple footsteps and voices could be heard as people rushed to the upper level of the tower.
Cain, having collected all the Key Stones and ga Stones, approached the window and waited.
When Gengar returned to his shadow, Cain recalled Weavile, who had still been reinforcing the library door with ice.
Then, without hesitation, he jumped out the window alongside Honchkrow.
The cold night air hit his face as he grabbed onto Honchkrow’s legs, flying toward the forest on the opposite shore.
If he could reach the forest, the danger would be gone.
Theoretically, the family specialized in Fighting-type Pokémon shouldn’t be very skilled with Flying-types.

Shortly after Cain and Honchkrow jumped from the window, the library door—frozen by Weavile—was blasted open.
Blazing flas swept through the room, uncaring of the fate of the books.
Clearly, he had struck a very sensitive nerve in the family that owned the place, to the point they no longer cared about the destruction it might cause.
Gurkinn approached the window and, under the moonlight, caught a glimpse of a shadow flying away toward the forest.
His expression grew even darker. He didn’t need to check the room to know what had been stolen.
How could the thief know so precisely what they were looking for?
Who was that person?
It didn’t take long for a group of people to arrive.
"Father!" called a middle-aged man.
It was Koler, Gurkinn’s son and future father of Korrina.
Without hesitation, Koler stepped onto the edge of the window and leapt into the void.
As he fell, he threw a Poké Ball, from which a Heracross erged to catch him in midair.
Standing on its back, he pursued the fleeing shadow.
Gurkinn watched his son go after the thief. He wanted to stop him, but when he rembered what had been lost, he slowly lowered his hand.
He hoped Koler could recover those items.
However, a troubling feeling overca him.
His son might be in danger.
Cain, halfway through his escape, noticed the pursuit.
He hadn’t expected soone to follow him with a Heracross.
His eyes flashed coldly. Whoever was chasing him had made a fatal mistake.
If it had been Gurkinn, Cain would have fled without looking back.
But now...
The night sky beca the stage for a hunt. Two shadows flew one after the other, closing in on the forest.
Honchkrow landed, and Cain disappeared into the thick woods without stopping.
Koler also landed quickly and released another Pokémon: Mienshao.
"Mienshao, follow his trail!"
With cold eyes and determined resolve, Koler was ready to reclaim his family’s legacy.
It was his duty as a father and heir to his lineage.
