Pokémon Court Chapter 418: Alola!

The Trainer who ca up after Kyōsuke was Mito, one of the two Trainers present who were considered the strongest, because apart from them and the Gym Leaders, no one else has Champion League qualifications.

“Kyōsuke was careless; he didn’t send out his strongest Pokémon but tried to rely on Trick Room to deal with Terrance…”

“However, I won’t do the sa,” Mito thought to herself.

The number of people who plan to stand up and challenge Terrance has now dwindled to just a few. Regardless of the process, the results left them silent.

So far, Terrance had not lost a single battle.

“Could it be that all these Trainers who ca here will end up rely becoming his backdrop?”

Many people felt troubled, yet they had no solution. Whether in terms of reputation or battle capability, they couldn’t compare to Terrance.

On Terrance’s side, Gallade hadn’t expended much energy in the previous battle and could still fight, so he decided not to switch Pokémon.

In the upper level of the room, the people of the Old Green House saw Ayan take out a communicator and asked.

“Oh, nothing. It’s a communicator that Terrance asked to temporarily hold onto. It looks like a ssage just ca,” Ayan replied.

“Wait until the battle ends before giving it to Terrance.”

Ayan glanced at the sender of the ssage—Master Victor.

On the stage, Terrance and Mito stood opposite to each other, then Mito took out her Poké Ball.

“Flygon!”

The Pokémon Mito sent out looked like a dragon, predominantly green in color, with large red eyes covered by hemispherical structures. When Flygon appeared, it flapped its wings violently, stirring up a sandstorm.

Its opponent Gallade, on the other hand, stood calmly like a gladiator.

Flygon mostly lives in deserts, a powerful Pokémon as rare as Altaria. With dual-type Ground/Dragon, combined with its special body structure that prevents sand from blowing into its eyes, Flygon can perform exceptionally well in sandstorms.

Mito’s Flygon evidently had impressive control over the Sandstorm move. After Roxanne returned to her seat, she focused entirely on watching the battle, treating it as a learning opportunity. When she noticed that Terrance’s opponent was also using the Sandstorm move, her interest was instantly piqued.

Sand swirled around Flygon, as though it had a layer of sandstorm shielding it. At the sa ti, Mito shouted a command: “Use Sand Tomb to strengthen your defense!”

Using Sand Tomb to strengthen its defense?

Terrance and Gallade didn’t dare to act rashly for the mont. As it turned out, they made the right choice—within an instant, the surrounding sand rapidly turned into a sandstorm tornado around Flygon as it flapped its wings.

Roxanne was shocked. Although Flygon’s racial talent contributed to this, her Probopass was clearly inferior in terms of sandstorm control.

With this move, Flygon hid inside the sandstorm tornado, making it impossible for Gallade to detect its location.

“Sand Tomb can be used like that?!” Many people were utterly astonished.

However, a few Trainers noticed the flaw in this strategy. This strategy could disrupt Gallade’s bizarre Teleport, but if Gallade had release-type moves, the sandstorm shield would be useless and could easily be broken. ṛαΝоＢËṧ

To defeat the opponent, it could only get near and attack.

“This is troubleso. Even Gallade can’t properly lock onto Flygon while it’s inside the Sand Tomb.”

Many people noticed Terrance and Gallade’s predicant. Without its exaggerated Teleport and slashing techniques, how could Gallade secure victory?

“Gallade, carefully observe the Sand Tomb.”

Terrance gave the order. In a battle, victory ant defeating the opponent, and the opponent also had to attack. Under the current circumstances, most of Flygon’s attack thods were also limited.

“Use Sand Attack!”

As Flygon moved, the sandstorm tornado surrounding it moved as well. It was now obvious how Mito intended to attack. The sandstorm tornado continued moving toward Gallade’s position, but at this mont, Gallade and Terrance’s eyes t, and they imdiately understood each other’s intentions.

Based on Flygon’s previous Sand Attack, Gallade had already figured out Flygon’s position when it moved.

“So fast.” Mito felt a jolt in her heart as she noticed Gallade and Terrance exchanging glances, but she quickly cald down. Even if they knew Flygon’s exact position within the Sand Tomb, so what?

As long as Gallade dared to enter the sand, Flygon would have no fear of its attacks. The endless sand around it could be instantly compressed and explode under Flygon’s precise control.

This was the innate talent of her Flygon, a combo technique honed through training with Sandstorm and Sand Tomb.

Furthermore, Flygon’s body structure and its mastery over sand control could minimize the damage it received from the sand.

If the opponent intended to engage in mutual destruction, they were absolutely making a miscalculation.

On an artificial island located at the center of the Alola region, inside a research facility at Aether Paradise.

A dark-skinned young woman smiled and said, “Master Victor, thank you so much for your help with this research.”

“No, being able to collaborate with a Pokémon Professor as young as you, on researching the relationship between Ultra Beasts and ordinary Pokémon has been incredibly rewarding for as well, Professor Burnet.”

The elderly man smiled. He was Master Victor, currently conducting research in the Alola region. His main reason for coming here was due to an invitation from the Aether Foundation.

“So, are you planning to return to Hoenn next, Master Victor?”

“I’ll stay here for a while longer. The Pokémon Egg I brought back from Mount Lanakila still has so ti before it hatches,” Master Victor replied, shaking his head. Returning now would likely affect the Egg’s hatching process. Moreover, the results of yesterday’s research provided him with a discovery he had not yet shared with the Aether Foundation, and he intended to continue verifying it while in Alola.
