"This is..."
Moonblast's aura had completely changed right before everyone's eyes.
Was this still Moonblast?
Even ga Altaria itself was bewildered. The Moonblast, cast under the influence of a mysterious energy, had undergone a complete transformation.
This change left ga Altaria utterly perplexed.
"What are these streaks of starlight?"
Terrance was astonished.
When had Altaria's Moonblast turned into this?
As the endless starlight rained down from the sky, Darkrai instinctively sensed danger.
"Yiii!!!"
ga Altaria made no further movents, yet the countless streaks of starlight shot toward Darkrai at incredible speed.
Compared to an ordinary Moonblast, this altered version was significantly faster.
Not only that, but in terms of attack range, it covered a much wider area while greatly enhancing its maneuverability. The starlight streaked across the sky in various curved trajectories, all converging toward a single direction!
This move emitted no aura whatsoever. Whether compared to the terrifying killing intent of Dragon Rush or the overwhelming force of Darkrai's Dark Pulse, when these streaks of starlight were unleashed, the only noticeable effect was how the entire space seed to be enveloped in starlight... Everything else remained eerily calm.
And yet... there was an indescribable beauty to it.
Whoosh~ whoosh~ whoosh~
At the mont Moonblast was used, Albus had no idea what had happened, but that didn't stop him and Lucario from swiftly judging the situation.
Suppress!
To ensure that the mutated Moonblast struck Darkrai successfully—without being dodged or partially neutralized by a counterattack—Lucario unleashed its full power continuously. In almost an instant, it used all available ans to completely lock down Darkrai's movents.
As it turned out, Lucario executed the plan flawlessly. Darkrai, overwheld by the relentless onslaught, had no chance to react to the mutated Moonblast.
However, in the most critical mont, Darkrai followed its instincts—it abandoned defending against Lucario's attacks and instead turned to block Moonblast head-on!
"Are you underestimating Lucario?!"
Seeing this, Albus imdiately understood—Darkrai perceived the mutated Moonblast as a greater threat than Lucario's attacks, which was why it chose to defend against Moonblast while enduring Lucario's attacks.
I won't let you succeed!
Catching onto Darkrai's intent through subtle clues, Albus gathered his Aura power and transmitted his strategy and intent to Lucario.
In almost an instant—Double Team! Aura power condensed around Lucario's hands, forming a sphere— Fling!
"Aura Sphere?!"
Seeing Lucario's actions, Terrance instinctively made a judgnt, but quickly rejected it.
It could be considered an Aura Sphere, yet at the sa ti, it wasn't. By using Aura power as an item and throwing it using "Fling Move", both its power and speed far surpassed that of a typical Aura Sphere!
Countless streams of Aura surged ahead of Moonblast, successfully countering Darkrai's attempt to block the altered Moonblast attack. A massive collision ensued, giving rise to a thick cloud of smoke.
Imdiately after, the starlight pierced through the smoke, converging into a single point. At this mont, both Terrance and Albus held their breath—then, a series of deafening explosions rang out!
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
From the mont ga Altaria unleashed Moonblast to now, only a few seconds had passed. Yet in that brief window, Lucario had leveraged its proximity to Darkrai to successfully complete its role of restricting, ensuring that the mutated Moonblast landed perfectly!
"What's the situation?"
Albus panted heavily. Even though the main combatants were Lucario and ga Altaria, the toll on both Albus and Terrance was far greater than expected.
This wasn't a battle that could be commanded with re words. If Albus hadn't controlled the overall situation with his Aura power, ga Altaria and Lucario would likely have been unable to suppress Darkrai, resulting in them being defeated one by one, unable to coordinate.
Terrance, on his side, was also expending a great deal of ntal strength to maintain ga Evolution and the ditation thod. It was precisely due to the efforts of both him and Albus that Lucario and ga Altaria could perform at their peak.
"If Darkrai was fully conscious and had an experienced Trainer commanding it, it wouldn't be inferior to any Elite Four's ace Pokémon!" Terrance thought to himself in awe.
However, the outco was still uncertain...
The mutated Moonblast had struck Darkrai, and thick smoke now obscured their vision. Despite this, Terrance remained focused, waiting for Albus's next move.
With his Aura power, Albus and Lucario could easily perceive what was happening within the smoke. Yet, at this mont, Albus did not issue any further commands—he simply observed in silence.
"Is there a change?" Terrance wondered.
Maintaining ga Evolution had a ti limit, and Albus was well aware of that. If he was willing to spend ti rely observing, then sothing major must have happened to Darkrai.
"It worked."
Albus's voice rang out, imdiately catching Terrance's full attention.
"What do you an, it worked? Could it be..."
"Yeah. My Aura picked up the sound of the dream device completely shattering—it's broken into pieces." Albus explained. "But from what I can sense within the smoke, Darkrai still hasn't regained consciousness."
Terrance's heart pounded as he gazed toward the smoke.
At this point, his heartbeat quickened—the dream device had shattered. That should be enough, right?
But Albus remained tense. His Aura couldn't establish a connection with Darkrai, aning the situation was still uncertain. That was why he was waiting—to see if Darkrai could fully recover.
"How much longer can you hold out?" Albus asked.
"At most a minute." Terrance bit his lip.
Waiting like this wasn't a solution. What if Darkrai remained in this state for a long ti? Were they supposed to just stand here indefinitely?!
If ga Evolution wore off and sothing unexpected happened, they wouldn't have many options left to respond.
"Use this ti to heal Lucario and ga Altaria," Albus instructed.
"Got it."
Sensing that Albus had a plan in mind, Terrance let out a long breath. ga Altaria and Lucario moved to his side, and as he examined their injuries, his brow furrowed.
It was serious. External wounds were manageable, but if their bodies weren't treated properly at a Pokémon Center or a similar facility, the damage could leave lasting consequences.
Endure it—it might hurt.
Terrance almost said those words as he took out the dicine, but just as the words reached his lips, he stopped himself.
For these two Pokémon, such a reminder was completely unnecessary.
"You've done well. Stay still now."
With a sigh, Terrance turned his gaze toward the thinning smoke...
