Borrowing the video call device, Terrance exchanged a few words with Mr. Brandon.

When Terrance brought up the Desert Ruins but had not yet gone into detail, Mr. Brandon stopped him.

"About that, I need to check the historical texts of that region."

"Then where are you now? I’ll co find you."

Mr. Brandon’s decisiveness made Terrance secretly delighted. It seed promising; seeking out a professional had indeed been the right choice.

Very quickly, Mr. Brandon and Terrance settled on a plan. However, it wasn’t Terrance who would go looking for him...

Because Mr. Brandon had set the eting place in the desert.

"Regirock has reappeared. I also need to go to the desert to verify sothing, so let’s et there. I should arrive in about two hours."

Two hours wasn’t long; it would pass in the blink of an eye. After Terrance nodded, the four adventurers behind him couldn’t help but speak up.

"Mr. Brandon, can we co along?"

"If you just want to visit the Battle Pyramid, you’re more than welco. But I need to handle so matters in the desert, so I’m afraid I won’t have much ti to entertain you."

The four adventurers didn’t dare ask for more and nodded repeatedly.

Two hours later.

Tyranitar’s injuries had already healed, though it would still need so ti to fully recover its stamina. Terrance didn’t leave it at the Pokémon Center; instead, he took it along, planning to let it slowly regain its strength inside the Poké Ball.

At the outskirts of the desert, Terrance and the four adventurers looked up. Amid the howling wind, they saw the Battle Pyramid facility flying in the sky like a warship.

"Pretty impressive."

It was no longer a secret that Mr. Brandon’s Battle Pyramid was a massive flying vessel. The cost of building such a Battle Pyramid was far beyond what ordinary Top Trainers could afford. Only a veteran powerhouse like Brandon, who had collected multiple Legendary Pokémon, had the capital for sothing like this.

After a while, as the sand and wind surged, the Battle Pyramid descended and landed in front of Terrance and the others.

Soon after, a staircase leading to the ground was lowered. A middle-aged man with brown hair, black eyes, and a serious expression, dressed in a green explorer’s outfit, walked down.

"Mr. Brandon!!"

As Brandon stepped down, the four adventurers rushed forward. Seeing how eager they were, Terrance smiled helplessly; he could understand. After all, they were eting their idol, a great senior.

"If only they showed half this enthusiasm toward . Clearly I’m the more handso one."

Watching them crowd around Brandon, Terrance joked to himself.

"My apologies. For now, please let my assistant host you inside the pyramid. I shouldn’t be gone for too long," Brandon said with a slight nod to the four of them.

"No problem. Please go ahead with Master Terrance. Don’t worry about us."

At that mont, Terrance also walked over. He exchanged a glance with Mr. Brandon, the two nodding to each other before directly saying farewell to the four adventurers.

"You rember the ancient text I once translated, right?" Mr. Brandon asked as they walked toward the Desert Ruins.

"I rember," Terrance replied, recalling it.

Four years ago, in order to investigate the circumstances behind Regirock’s sealing, Terrance sent the ancient text recorded in a certain ruin to Cynthia. After so twists and turns, it was ultimately Mr. Brandon who translated the ancient writing.

On their way to the Desert Ruins, the two of them went over that matter again.

"That sealing took place a thousand years ago, but the history of this desert can be traced back ten thousand years."

Mr. Brandon spoke calmly. When the two arrived at the place Terrance had described, Mr. Brandon suddenly stopped.

Seeing the terrain in front of them, Terrance also showed an embarrassed expression.

Several hours had passed. Although the ice here had lted, the water had not yet fully evaporated, leaving the ground here incredibly treacherous.

Fortunately, Mr. Brandon was only slightly surprised and didn’t pay much attention to the details. Passing through the area, the two quickly arrived at the collapsed ruin and the pit within it.

"Regirock."

As Mr. Brandon threw out a Poké Ball, a Regirock appeared. The mont it appeared, Terrance’s pupils shrank. Compared to the one in the desert, this Regirock was clearly much stronger. Its re presence was enough to intimidate.

Still, Terrance believed that one day Tyranitar would surpass these guys.

"Regi~rock—!!"

Under Mr. Brandon’s command, the Regirock began sensing the fluctuations in the area. Before long, it conveyed so information to Mr. Brandon that Terrance couldn’t understand.

"So that’s how it is."

Seeing Regirock’s reaction, Mr. Brandon shook his head with a complicated expression and said to Terrance, "Let’s continue."

Long, long ago—about ten thousand years ago—the area where the Hoenn Desert now lies was once the site of a brilliant super-ancient civilization.

At that ti, the environnt was still suitable for human habitation and far less harsh than it is now.

However, as ti passed, due to the region’s special climate and terrain, a core deep within the earth gradually ford, one that contained imnse power of sandstorm.

Because of this sandstorm core, the environnt here slowly began to change, attracting many Rock-, Ground-, and Steel-type Pokémon to the area.

Based on Mr. Brandon’s description, Terrance guessed that his Larvitar might have co to this region during that era.

Back then, in order to prevent desertification, the humans used the power of their super-ancient civilization to build the Mirage Tower. The function of Mirage Tower was to suppress the power of that sandstorm core.

For a ti, thanks to Mirage Tower’s power, the sandstorm core could no longer affect the region. However, after several thousand years, both Mirage Tower and the sandstorm core gradually lost their power. During the process of dissipating, the energy they released radiated outward and gave birth to a special mineral in this land called "Adamite."

This leads to the reason behind Regirock’s sealing.

Adamite was an ore extrely suitable as a construction material. Because it was inexpensive and highly resistant, nearly all local buildings used it... but no one realized that this stone was an extraordinary nourishnt for Regirock. It was during that ti that two Regirock, after invading human settlents in the area, were sealed within the ruins.

The Regirock Mr. Brandon had captured was one of them.

The Regirock Terrance encountered was the other.

The birth of the sandstorm core, the construction of Mirage Tower, the creation of Adamite after the energy radiation, and finally the sealing of Regirock—these events essentially make up the entire history of this desert.
