The light of ga Evolution slowly faded.
Once it did, Charizard's body completely changed. His body had beco leaner, more aerodynamic. A third horn protruded from the back of its head, and jagged spikes ran down its tail. Massive, ragged wings stretched out, catching the turbulent wind.
ga Charizard Y.
But it wasn't just his physical form that had changed. The mont he appeared, the entire area was covered in harsh sunlight.
This wasn't the move Sunny Day, but the ability Drought.
Setting up weather through an ability was much more powerful than through a move like Sunny Day. Even more so when the ability ca from ga Evolution. Adding the fact that Charizard was a Pseudo-king, the area over a one-mile radius was covered in incredibly harsh sunlight. The moisture in the air evaporated instantly, and the fire-type energy saturating the atmosphere spiked to an incomprehensible level. The ambient heat grew so intense that the rocks beneath ga Charizard Y's feet began to glow dull red.
Blaire and Belle were unaffected, as Charizard controlled the energy to not harm them.
---
So distance away, in the war-torn center of the estate.
Red and Green were currently locked in a fierce, high-speed battle, taking on multiple Advanced-level invaders.
Suddenly, Red paused. He looked up at the sky, pushing the brim of his cap up.
The Sunny Day his Charizard had cast earlier was abruptly swallowed and replaced by a sunlight so dense and oppressive it felt physically heavy. The ambient fire-type energy in the area had multiplied tenfold in the span of a single second.
ROOOOAR!
Red's Charizard let out a booming roar of sheer elation. Basking in the overwhelming, passive domain of Drought, the fire on his tail flared. His fire-type attacks beca a lot stronger and destructive.
Green wiped a bead of sweat from her brow, her Venusaur practically vibrating with energy under the intense sun. "Soone just turned up the thermostat. Who brings this kind of heat?"
Red didn't answer, but a faint, competitive smirk touched his lips. Whoever was fighting over there, they were terrifyingly strong.
---
Back on the plateau, the Ancient Kingdom commander stumbled backward, shielding his face from the blinding light and blistering heat.
"W-What is this?!" the commander gasped, his voice trembling. "Primal Regression?!"
Blaire didn't bother responding.
Outwardly, she was the picture of cool, punk confidence. She casually blew a pink bubble, letting it pop with a sharp snap as she adjusted her dark cat-eye sunglasses. She didn't look like a girl who had just discovered her mother was murdered by the very organization standing in front of her.
But inside, Blaire was an inferno.
A cold, bottomless rage burned through her veins, syncing perfectly with the fiery, draconic wrath of her ga Charizard Y. The bond of ga Evolution was a two-way street; Charizard felt the fire in Blaire's heart, and in return, Blaire felt the fiery power coursing through her partner.
"You talk too much," Blaire said, her voice eerily calm. "Charizard. Heat Wave."
ga Charizard Y simply flapped his massive, jagged wings.
A localized hurricane of superheated, Drought-boosted fire-type energy swept across the plateau. The sheer ambient temperature of the attack was so intense it lted the stone beneath it.
"Aggron, Stone Edge! Excadrill, Rock Slide! Aerodactyl, fly above it!" the commander scread in sheer panic.
The two grounded Pseudo-Kings ripped massive boulders from the earth, hurling them forward to block the incoming wave of fire.
It was a futile effort.
The mont the boulders touched the Heat Wave, they glowed white-hot, cracked, and completely disintegrated into ash and molten slag. The wave crashed into Aggron and Excadrill, sending the two heavily armored beasts skidding violently across the plateau, howling in pain as their armor began to warp from the heat.
"Aerodactyl, Giga Impact!"
From above the flas, the ancient rock-type Pseudo-King dove like a teor, its body cloaked in a massive, spinning vortex of normal-type energy, aiming directly for Charizard's back.
"Dodge, then Flathrower!" Blaire ordered without even looking up.
Charizard easily moved out of the way and released a beam of fire at Aerodactyl from point-blank range.
The Aerodactyl's eyes widened in horror as it was hit. its body began to turn black from the heat as it began to fall, barely managing to stay in the air.
"Your little pets are severely outclassed," Blaire sneered,
"You ca to my ho, threatened my sister, and proudly confessed to murdering my mother. Did you really think you'd be walking away from this?"
"W-what a monster..." The commander almost fell to his knees. Desperate, he ordered all 3 of his Pokémon to attack together.
"Charizard," Blaire said, a fierce, burning smile spreading across her face. "Let's show these guys what it ans to burn with passion."
ROOOOOOOOOAR!
Charizard flew higher as fire-type energy started building up inside him.
It reached its peak by the ti the three pseudo-kings were on him.
He looked at them, and he fired.
This wasn't any normal move. This was the absolute pinnacle of fire-type destruction.
"Blast Burn!"
ga Charizard Y unleashed a colossal, hyper-condensed sphere of pure, blinding fire. it caught the three pseudo kings, and slamd into the plateau.
BOOOOOOOOOM!
The explosion was apocalyptic. A massive pillar of fire and molten rock erupted into the sky. There was a giant crater in the plateau.
When the blinding light faded, the three Pseudo-Kings, Aggron, Excadrill, and Aerodactyl, were embedded in the scorched earth. Their bodies were burnt black, completely and utterly unconscious.
The commander and his grunt lay a few feet away, miraculously alive but entirely incapacitated by the shockwave, their armor fused and smoking.
"Whoa..." Belle gasped, peering out from behind Captain Sparky, her eyes sparkling like stars. "That was so cool, Big Sis! You turned them into toast!"
"Pika!" Sparky nodded in fierce approval.
Blaire exhaled slowly. The burning rage in her chest had simred down to a cold, focused ember. She tapped the Key Stone on her collar, severing the connection.
ga Charizard Y glowed with a soft light, reverting back to his normal form. He landed heavily on the scorched earth, panting slightly from the sheer exertion of the ultimate move, but his eyes were filled with proud satisfaction.
"Good job, buddy," Blaire said softly, patting his snout.
She turned to the two unconscious invaders. She unclasped a Great Ball from her belt. "owstic, restrain them."
The elegant, bipedal feline ca out, her eyes glowing blue as she lifted the two heavily armored n into the air, wrapping them in unbreakable, telekinetic bindings.
"Keep them secure. They have a lot of questions to answer when this is over," Blaire muttered.
She walked over to Belle, picking the 12-year-old up by the back of her Pikachu hoodie and tossing her onto Charizard's back.
"Hey! Don't throw the Great Belle!" Belle complained, though she quickly settled in behind Charizard's neck.
"No ti to argue, kid," Blaire said, hopping up behind her. "The rest of the island is still a warzone. We need to clear out the remaining trash and make sure the stupid heirs are fine. We are the hosts after all."
"Charizard, let's fly," Blaire ordered.
The fire-type roared, launching himself into the air and leaving the scorched plateau behind.
As they flew toward the center of the estate, Blaire looked up. Above them, the massive, translucent black barrier of the Dinsional Severance still cut the sky in half.
Outwardly, Blaire looked composed, her sharp eyes scanning the chaos below for her next target. But inwardly, her heart was beating an erratic rhythm. A cold, sinking feeling, a constant unrest she couldn't quite explain, gnawed at her stomach.
'The old man is the strongest trainer I know,' Blaire thought, her fist unknowingly clenching. 'He wouldn't lose to these b*stards.'
But as she stared at the pitch-black void beyond the barrier, the feeling of dread refused to fade.
