At this mont, Beedrill's movents created sonic booms. With unbelievable speed, it rushed in front of Raikou. Its lance-like stinger, gleaming with a cold light amidst the lightning, released a cloud of purple poison gas as it struck the protective shield of lightning.

A terrifying explosion rang out again, sending shockwaves rippling outward. Kenji raised his arm to block the debris, the flying sand stinging his skin.
But the next mont, Ninetales, standing beside Kenji, used her psychic powers to erect a barrier, shielding them from the aftermath of the clash between Beedrill and Raikou.
With Beedrill's strike, the lightning shield dimd rapidly, looking as if it would shatter at any mont.
But then, another bolt of lightning struck down from the thundercloud above. As the electricity poured in, the dimming shield was restored.
Kenji frowned. He could only watch as Beedrill and Raikou clashed in the distance. Beedrill dodged Raikou's attacks while relentlessly bombarding the lightning shield.
But lightning snakes writhed in the clouds above, striking down one after another to repair the shield Beedrill was attacking.
Kenji looked up at the sky. The thunderclouds showed no sign of dissipating.
The biggest difference between Legendary Pokémon and ordinary ones was their ability to command the forces of nature.
Raikou, with the rain cloud on its back, could summon rain and lightning.
Suicune could purify water and represented the wind and rain.
Entei's roar could trigger volcanic eruptions.
These abilities were all gifts from Ho-Oh, the legendary Pokémon.
Without these god-given powers to manipulate nature, their inherent strength might not be as overwhelming.
"Your Beedrill is fighting so hard, and you, as its trainer, are just standing here watching?"
Ye Jianguo spat his cigarette butt onto the ground and crushed it under his foot, speaking as he did so.
Kenji snapped back to reality, looking at Ye Jianguo with sha.
Beedrill was too fast. This battle was completely beyond Kenji's ability to command.
"My goodness, what did your Beedrill grow up eating? Its strength is monstrous," Ye Jianguo marveled, staring at the battling Beedrill and Raikou. Then he turned his gaze back to Kenji.
"I know what you want to say. But as a trainer, your duty is to train your Pokémon and assist them in battle. If you can't even do these two basic things, what right do you have to call yourself a trainer?"
Ye Jianguo's words were sharp and direct. Faced with this reprimand, Kenji couldn't refute a word.
Yes, if he couldn't command his Pokémon or fight alongside them, what right did he have to call himself a competent trainer?
"This Beedrill is too strong. So strong that it doesn't even need your help to defeat the opponents you currently face. This has temporarily masked your shortcomings.
"But when Beedrill faces an opponent it cannot defeat alone, your uselessness is fully exposed."

"Thank you, Senior Ye. I know what to do." Kenji clenched his fists tight. When he looked up at Ye Jianguo again, the self-mockery and confusion were gone, replaced by determination. He turned his gaze toward Beedrill and Raikou.
Although Raikou could summon lightning, it still cost stamina. Under Beedrill's relentless bombardnt, perhaps even without ga Evolution, Beedrill could defeat Raikou just as it had won countless battles before.
But this ti, Kenji didn't want Beedrill to fight alone.
In the past, Kenji had only rejoiced in Beedrill's growing strength, lacking reflection on his own progress.

In the darkness, Kenji slowly raised his arm. In the real world, Kenji mirrored the movent, revealing the ga Ring on his wrist.
But now, the light erupting from the Key Stone on the ga Ring was more intense than ever before!!
Kenji snapped his eyes open. This ti, his vision and hearing focused entirely on the battling Beedrill, making its high-speed movents clearer than ever.
"Beedrill!! Respond to my heart!! GA!!! EVOLVE!!!"
