Although Dragonite's base Speed stat was only 80, its actual movent speed was blistering.
The Pokédex clearly stated that Dragonite could fly around the globe in just 16 hours.
Of course, this might also be related to Dragonite's ability to learn Extre Speed.
In the gas, Extre Speed had a priority of 2, essentially a pro-max version of Quick Attack.
In real-world battles, it allowed Pokémon to move at incredible velocities.
The only downside was that due to the sheer speed, its maneuverability wasn't as flexible or agile as Beedrill's "Super Speed" state.
Because of its high movent speed, Dragonite naturally possessed excellent dynamic vision, perhaps enough to keep up with Beedrill's movents.

Dragonite roared, its fists igniting with blazing flas while its wings glowed with brilliant white light.

Extre Speed activated. Despite its small wings, they packed serious power. With a mighty flap, Dragonite's chubby body dive-bombed toward Beedrill like a missile, flaming fist raised to strike.
Beedrill employed the sa tactic as before. It waited until Dragonite was right in its face, the Fire Punch inches away, before moving. It dodged instantly.
Dragonite was part Flying-type, so Bug moves were not very effective. Thus, Beedrill opted for Poison moves.
Poison Jab!!

Just as Beedrill's stinger was about to land, Dragonite shot forward, barely dodging the attack.
Then, Dragonite spun around abruptly, opening its mouth to unleash a pillar of fire.
Flathrower!!!
BOOM!!! —
The fire column was terrifyingly hot and powerful. If it hit, Beedrill would be severely injured.
Aerial Ace!!!
Beedrill's body curved through the air in a bizarre arc, grazing the edge of the fire column to dodge, then imdiately launched a counterattack toward Dragonite.
But the mont Beedrill attempted to close in, Dragonite activated Extre Speed again, putting distance between them.
Dragonite's stats were balanced. While its Special Attack was lower than its Attack, it still had a base of 100, which was by no ans weak.
After witnessing Beedrill's close-quarters combat ability, Drago naturally wouldn't let Dragonite engage in a lee brawl.
Although Extre Speed allowed Dragonite to match Beedrill's raw speed, it lacked the agility required for intricate close combat. Against Beedrill's unparalleled reflexes, fighting up close was a losing gamble.
"It's co to this, and he still hasn't ga Evolved..."
Drago looked at the Beedrill on the field, thinking to himself.
On the other side, Kenji's expression was indifferent.

It's... pretty average.

He had spent countless years and imnse resources cultivating this Dragonite to Champion level. And Kenji just dismissed it as "average."

After all, this was a Pseudo-Legendary that out-leveled Beedrill by a whole tier. And even while spamming Extre Speed, it could barely keep up with Beedrill's base form speed.
It was hard for Kenji to give a high evaluation under these circumstances.
But it wasn't that Dragonite was weak; it was that Beedrill was simply too strong.
Up in the air, Dragonite felt wronged.
It was a majestic dragon, yet here it was being chased around by a bug. It was a disgrace to dragon-kind.
No matter what angle Dragonite attacked from, Beedrill dodged effortlessly.
Finally, Dragonite had enough.
"Rwooaa!!! —"
Dragonite roared, and a vortex of flas erupted around its body, encasing it in a protective shell.
Kenji had seen this tactic many tis before—using Fire Spin as a defensive barrier to prevent close combat.
But this move was useless against Beedrill.
The defense provided by Fire Spin was no different from a sheet of paper to the bee.
Beedrill rushed straight at the vortex. It raised a lance, channeling Fighting-type energy.
Brick Break!!!
A Fighting move where the user chops down like a karate master. It had the property of shattering barrier moves like Light Screen and Reflect.
If it could break those, this little fire spin was nothing.
Beedrill brought its lance down. Shing!
Like slicing through tofu, the Fire Spin was cut open. The edges of the cut were incredibly smooth.
The mont the gap appeared, the vortex collapsed and dissipated with a poof.
Dragonite, hiding inside, was exposed.
However, surrounding Dragonite were nurous glowing teorites.

The teors were so dense they almost obscured Dragonite's bulky orange body. The Fire Spin hadn't just been for defense; it bought ti to charge Draco teor and blocked Beedrill's line of sight.
As Beedrill broke through the fire, Dragonite roared, sending the swarm of teors crashing toward the insect.
Draco teor. A Dragon-type ultimate move with 130 base power. It rains down cots filled with draconic energy. The downside is that it sharply lowers the user's Special Attack due to recoil.
A full-power Draco teor from a Champion-level Dragonite could carpet-bomb the entire arena.
But right now, the attack was compressed. Instead of scattering across the field, the entire teor shower was focused directly onto Beedrill.
With the range compressed, the density of the attack skyrocketed.
At this range, the teors left no gaps for escape. Not even Dragonite with Extre Speed would be confident in dodging this barrage.
BOOM BOOM BOOM!!! —
In an instant, Beedrill's figure was completely swallowed by the explosions.
Drago stared intently at the impact zone, scanning the rest of the arena.
Beedrill was nowhere else.
It hadn't escaped the blast radius.
And with such density, there wasn't even enough space between teors for a fly to squeeze through.
Under such an assault, Drago refused to believe Beedrill could co out unscathed!!!

The bombardnt ceased.
And a golden figure reappeared in the sky above the battlefield.
