A wave of crushing psychological pressure instantly swept across the entire arena. Any lower-level Pokémon wouldn't have even needed to face the terrifying phantom manifested by ga Gengar; they would have simply collapsed on the spot, paralyzed by pure, existential dread.
"SIII!!!!! —"
ga Beedrill let out a sharp, defiant buzz. Beneath the towering majesty of the Night Shade titan, the insect's armored fra appeared tiny, almost insignificant.
But despite its size, its spirit remained unbroken. There was no fear in its crimson eyes—only a cold, chanical focus on the mission.
SWISH SWISH SWISH!!!! —
The shadow titan acted. Dozens of massive black tentacles erupted from its form, whipping through the air with a sound like tearing silk as they lashed out at ga Beedrill. The assault was relentless, as dense and chaotic as a tropical storm.
Every single tentacle was saturated with malevolent Ghost-type energy.
ZZZZZT!!!! —
ga Beedrill's wings vibrated with frantic intensity. In the next instant, it vanished. Even with the high-speed caras, the spectators could only see the insect as it "blinked" through the gaps between the tentacles, weaving through the storm with impossible grace.
BAM!!!! —
BANG BANG BANG!!!! —
ga Beedrill wasn't just dodging; it was counter-attacking. It uncoiled its twin lances, eting each incoming shadow-limb with a surgical strike.
Wherever its stingers landed, the tentacles were detonated, dissolving back into plus of harmless black mist.
The insect fought a retreating battle, slowly spiraling inward. Its gaze never left the core of the phantom where ga Gengar sat, controlling the nightmare.
ga Gengar manipulated the titan, sprouting more limbs to keep the pressure on while using the main body of the Night Shade as a physical shield for its real self.
To reach the master, ga Beedrill would first have to dismantle the fortress of shadows.
Even though the titan was composed of nearly limitless spectral energy, ga Beedrill's raw output was starting to take a toll.
Explosions rippled across the field. Every second, hundreds of shadow-strikes were neutralized, turned back into raw gas by the lances of the golden insect.
ga Beedrill moved like a bolt of yellow lightning, its body flashing through the purple gloom. Every limb it passed was obliterated in a sequential chain of detonations.
The wasp's attack power was no joke. At Level 93, it was already capable of one-shotting peak Champion Pokémon. Now, sitting at 6 Attack and fueled by the madness of Outrage, its destructive potential had reached a level that defied standard analysis.
Under the weight of the relentless assault, the shadow titan began to flicker. Its structure was becoming unstable.
"ULTIMATE POISON DRILL!!"
KRA-KOOM!!!! —
Targeting the phantom's most vulnerable point, ga Beedrill launched its final gambit. It curled its body and began to spin at terminal velocity. Shrouded in a dual aura of red and purple energy, it transford into a living, high-speed drill of death, rocketing straight toward the heart of the titan.
The mont the drill made contact...
The twenty-ter-tall nightmare exploded.
With a sound that nearly blew out the stadium's speaker system, the Night Shade titan disintegrated into a massive cloud of black smoke.
The core was exposed. ga Gengar stood revealed.
ga Beedrill's montum didn't slow. It continued its spin, aid squarely at the unhinged grin of the ghost.
But just as the drill was about to make contact, the world seed to ripple.
BOOM!!!! —
The attack landed, but the sound it made wasn't the sound of flesh being pierced. It was the sound of the earth itself being shattered.
Under the sheer force of the impact, the arena floor disintegrated. A massive web of fissures, deep and jagged, spread across the entire battlefield. It looked as if the stadium had just survived a Magnitude 9 earthquake.
The resulting shockwave sent the lingering black mist churning, the energy slamming into ga Gengar's secondary barrier until the structures groaned and rattled under the strain.
Kenji scowled. Through his ntal link with his partner, he knew the truth before the smoke even cleared.
The attack had missed.
In the microsecond before impact, ga Gengar had simply... ceased to be.
Kenji, a veteran of a thousand battles and a master of Pokémon chanics, understood imdiately. Upon ga Evolving, a Gengar's ability to manipulate space reached a divine level. It hadn't teleported; it had slipped into a pocket dinsion—the Reverse World or a localized void—effectively exiting the physical plane to evade the killing blow.
With its Adaptability and Outrage buffs, a direct hit from Beedrill would have likely ended the match, even through Gengar's resistances.
But Grandma Liu was a legend for a reason. She wasn't going to let a "rookie" tag her that easily.
As long as ga Gengar could hide in the void, ga Beedrill's god-tier offense had no target to strike.
