Ultra Balls were a far cry from standard Poké Balls. In a basic ball, a Pokémon was effectively sealed off, unable to perceive anything occurring in the outside world.
But an Ultra Ball was more perable. Even from within its depths, a Pokémon could maintain a faint connection to its environnt. So specialized balls even had "soft" restraints, allowing a Pokémon to exit on its own if its will was strong enough, without the trainer ever pressing the button.
Right now, the Ultra Ball containing Arbok was vibrating with a frantic, rhythmic pulse. It wasn't just a request to be let out; it was a desperate plea.
Kenji reached for the three balls at his waist.
Gyarados, Ninetales, and Arbok.
Three beams of red light shot forward.
Gyarados slamd into the ocean, its massive form cutting through the waves. Ninetales hovered gracefully in the air, while Arbok landed squarely on Gyarados's broad back.
"What is it, Arbok?" Kenji asked, jumping down to stand beside the snake on Gyarados's head.
"CHAAAA!!!! —"
Arbok's vertical pupils were fixed on the heart of the Fog Zone, where the sound of explosions was loudest. It let out a sharp, commanding hiss.
Kenji blinked, realization striking him. Arbok carried the bloodline of the Guardian Deity. It wasn't just sensing danger; it was sensing its progenitor in distress. The resonance between their shared DNA was pulling Arbok toward the fight like a magnet.
Feeling the urgency in his partner's heart, Kenji didn't hesitate. He pointed toward the origin of the sound. "Gyarados! Follow Arbok's lead! Into the mist!"
Gyarados's swimming speed increased instantly. It transford into a sapphire blur, slicing through the water like a high-speed racing boat.
Arbok stood at the very tip of the serpent's snout, its hood flared, acting as a living compass for the team.
Within minutes, the booms of battle beca deafening. The crushing, divine pressure Kenji had felt from the outside was now a physical weight, thick enough to make his skin prickle.
...
Inside the white shroud, a nightmare was unfolding.
A colossal entity, half-subrged in the churning waves, towered over the ocean. Even with only half its body visible, it stood hundreds of ters tall. Clad in the drifting mist, it radiated an aura of absolute authority. Its eyes glowed with a steady, brilliant white light that pierced through the fog like twin searchlights.
This was the soul of Dragon Island—the Primal Giant Dragonite!!
Opposite the mountain-sized dragon, a tiny figure hovered in mid-air. Compared to the Deity, it was no larger than a fly, yet its presence was no less staggering.
This creature was entirely encased in sleek, silver-white tallic armor. The cold, hard plates glead with a surgical precision, radiating a high-tech, lethal aesthetic.
Across the surface of the armor, ripples of pale blue energy ebbed and flowed—the physical manifestation of an ocean of psychic power. Through the narrow visor of the helt, two glowing, blood-red eyes stared back at the Deity with a cold, analytical hunger.
It was the ultimate product of human ambition and twisted science. The man-made God. The "Strongest Weapon."
wtwo!!!
"RWOOAAA!!!! —"
The standoff broke. The Giant Dragonite moved, its simplest gesture triggering a massive tsunami. The re displacent of its weight sent waves crashing outward that would have capsized a supertanker.
The Deity raised a hand, and the ocean responded. A gargantuan Whirlpool erupted from the sea, twisting into a roaring water tornado that spiraled toward the armored figure in the sky.
Although Dragonite wasn't a Water-type, this ancient individual had road the oceans for eons. It had beco the "Incarnation of the Sea." Its mastery over the elents was beyond the scope of re "moves."
In the air, wtwo didn't flinch. It rely raised a three-fingered hand and made a sharp, clenching motion.
CRACK-CRACK-CRACK!!!! —
Blizzard!!!
In a literal heartbeat, the temperature hit absolute zero. The roaring, high-speed water tornado was instantly flash-frozen. The sound of millions of gallons of water turning to solid ice rang out like a gunshot. A towering, jagged sculpture of ice now stood where the vortex had been.
This was the power of a Master-rank deity. Even using a non-STAB move, its elental output was so high it rendered natural laws irrelevant.
But wtwo wasn't finished. It flexed its psychic will, and the frozen pillar began to warp.
The ice groaned and shattered, reforming mid-air. Within seconds, the formless ice had been sculpted into a snarling, translucent Ice Dragon, which lunged back at the Giant Dragonite.
"RWOOAAA!!!! —"
The Deity t the charge. Its fist ignited with a fire so intense it turned the surrounding mist into steam.
Fire Punch!!!
KRA-KOOM!!!! —
An explosion that felt like a localized sun detonated in the arena. The Fire Punch slamd into the Ice Dragon, the Deity's raw physical power pulverizing the construct into a billion shimring shards.
Not letting up, the Giant Dragonite unhinged its massive jaws. A beam of pure, concentrated blue energy blasted toward wtwo.
Dragon Pulse!!!
wtwo didn't even bother to dodge. It simply snapped its fingers.
Reflect!
BOOM!!!!! —
The Dragon Pulse slamd into the psychic barrier. The shockwave was so violent that the sea beneath them—hundreds of ters below—began to boil and churn. The ice floes created by the earlier Blizzard were instantly vaporized.
Against an attack that could have leveled a city, wtwo stood its ground without the slightest effort. It slowly began to raise its other hand, its red eyes glowing with an even more ominous light.
