"Wh-what is happening???!"
Before the doctor on the bed could even react, the man in the lab coat beside him panicked, overwheld by a terrifying, suffocating pressure filling the room. It felt like the heavy, oppressive gloom before a massive thunderstorm, the kind that made one's heart shrink in fear.
The man was too panicked to worry about Dr. Fang. He scrambled out of the room, grabbed a dical staffer in the hallway, and shrieked, "What's going on?! What was that explosion?!"
The dical staffer was just as bewildered, shaking his head frantically. "I... I don't know!"
BOOM!!!! —
The two n hadn't even finished their exchange when another thunderous explosion rocked the building, cutting them off mid-sentence.
BANG!!!! —
Under the massive shockwave, the bulletproof glass of the corridor shattered in unison, sending the entire hospital wing into absolute, unbridled chaos.
"Look!!! That... what is that...?!!!"
In the hallway, a man stared blankly toward the source of the explosions, his voice struggling to form the words.
The man followed his gaze, and his pupils contracted to pinpoints.
The source of the explosion wasn't elsewhere—it was the core sector of the Genetic Research Institute itself. Thick smoke billowed, flas roared, and one of the main buildings had already been reduced to a pile of rubble.
But what shocked the man—what truly filled him with soul-crushing terror—was the figure standing silently in mid-air above the ruins.
"... wtwo...???!"
The man's eyes bulged, filled with total, unadulterated disbelief.
wtwo had shed its silver-white armor, revealing its original, sleek form.
However, as a primary assistant to Dr. Fang, this man had been deeply involved in the secret creation of wtwo. He recognized the humanoid Pokémon in the air instantly as the "Ultimate War Machine" they had spent years crafting: the artificial Mythical Pokémon, wtwo!!
wtwo hovered silently in the air. Just looking at its silhouette felt as if it were seeing through their very souls.
Its existence was so secret that even within the R-Organization, only a handful of people knew it existed. The vast majority of the staff stared at the sky, utterly bewildered.
"Is... is this so new monster you guys cooked up in the lab...?"
The dical staffer beside the assistant stamred, turning to look at him. He swallowed hard, trying to get an answer. But when he looked at the assistant, he saw the man was shaking even more violently than he was, completely unable to answer the question.
anwhile, everyone in the facility looked up, their faces etched with horror.
Those who didn't know wtwo were shocked by its sudden appearance—it had manifested from thin air without triggering a single sensor or alarm in the facility's periter.
It had appeared soundlessly, without a single warning.
It wasn't until the building was destroyed that the alarms finally started to wail.
Those who did know wtwo were even more terrified. They realized, with sickening clarity, that the silver-white armor—the harness that restrained wtwo—was gone...
High in the air, wtwo overlooked the experintal base below. The emotions dancing in its pale blue, glowing eyes were incredibly complex.
This place... This was where it was born.
For wtwo, its mories were fragnted, and its understanding of the world was incredibly shallow. From the beginning, wtwo had been defined as a powerful war machine.
A war machine didn't need to know anything; it only needed to be strong enough, and easy to command. That was enough.
This ant that when wtwo first achieved independent consciousness, the only thing it felt was confusion.
It possessed imnse power, but lacked any context for the world it existed in.
Lost and wandering without a destination, wtwo had followed the flickering fragnts of its mories until it finally returned to this place.
But for so reason, the mont it arrived above the base and saw it for the first ti, a surge of instinctive rage and a desire to destroy everything flooded its heart.
That desire led wtwo to strike at the base. It was so powerful that destroying a few buildings—or even leveling the entire facility—would have been as easy as flicking a finger.
"Ugh..."
wtwo's eyes, glowing with a soft blue light, narrowed sharply. Its brows furrowed in agony, and it clutched its head with one hand.
With a wave of migraine-inducing pain, countless fragnted mories tore their way out from the depths of its mind.
In the sealed mory shards, wtwo saw itself trapped in a vat. Surrounded by thick, sticky green liquid, it had been curled up inside for most of its life.
Its entire body had been connected to countless long, thin tubes that were jamd into its skin.
Outside the tank, a crowd of researchers in lab coats stared at the monitors, their eyes shining with a fanatical, rapturous joy. To wtwo's perspective, this joy was deeply repulsive, fueling its sudden, explosive anger.
Beyond the tank, wtwo began to recall fragnts of the experints themselves.
The research was ruthless. It held no regard for "humanitarianism." To these researchers, wtwo was nothing but a machine, so they never bothered to care about its emotional state.
It seed that since its birth, it had spent its entire existence inside laboratories and incubation tanks.
And these mories brought wtwo nothing but tornt and agony.
Rage welled up in wtwo's eyes as it glared at the lab buildings, finding them eyesores that needed to be wiped from existence.
BOOM BOOM BOOM!!!! —
Instantly, the sounds of collapsing structures echoed throughout the massive facility.
Everyone was screaming, crying, and fleeing in every direction, terrified of being caught in the wake of the monster's fury.
