a primordial beast, its massive jaws agape.
Inteleon leaped, using the floating fragnts of the shattered island as
stepping stones. It moved with the calculated grace of an acrobat, while ga
Gyarados stayed on its tail, its body wreathed in the high-pressure veil of
Waterfall. Anything in the serpent's path was ground into powder.
As Inteleon danced between the debris, it constantly retaliated, firing off
rapid-fire Vacuum Waves.
Now back in its elent, ga Gyarados's underwater mobility was unmatched. It
twisted its twenty-ter fra through the water, weaving around the priority
strikes with surprising agility. The pursuit was a breathtaking display of
high-speed combat that had both trainers clutching their fists, their hearts
hamring against their ribs.
"HOOOOOOR!"
"Scale Shot!" Kenji commanded.
ga Gyarados whipped its tail, shedding a barrage of razor-sharp, crystalline
scales that hod in on Inteleon.
Faced with the projectile swarm, Inteleon funneled its energy into the water
beneath its feet. A massive wall of water rose up, catching the agent and
lifting it high above the battlefield.
Surf!
Amidst the churning waves, Inteleon stood atop a piece of floating stone,
looking like a master surfer as it navigated the chaos. It pivoted, firing two
globs of thick, heavy mud from its fingertips.
Mud Shot!
The move wasn't powerful, but its primary goal was to slow the beast down. ga
Gyarados had used Scale Shot multiple tis, skyrocketing its speed at the cost
of its physical defense. Inteleon was trying to strip away that montum.
ga Gyarados looked at the mud with pure disdain. It dodged the globs with a
flick of its head and churned its tail, commanding the very water to rise
against its creator. A counter-wave rose, crashing into Inteleon's Surf and
neutralizing the height advantage.
In an instant, ga Gyarados was in the agent's face. It lunged from the depths,
its tail rising like a guillotine.
Inteleon's pupils shrank. Its tail began to glow with a broad, erald light.

The two tails collided. In a test of raw strength, the slender agent was no
match for the Sea Sovereign; Inteleon was launched backward by the crushing
force.
However, the agent hadn't intended to win the clash. While airborne, it twisted
its body and fired a jet of ice-cold, specialized water at Gyarados's back.

The freezing stream struck true, the cold seeping into the serpent's muscles.
Chilling Water—it didn't just deal damage; it suppressed the opponent's physical
output. Combined with the Breaking Swipe, ga Gyarados's Attack stat was
finally being reined in.

Inteleon fell into the water. The mont it subrged, ga Gyarados followed
like a shark that had scented blood.
The arena had now been completely transford into a deep, open ocean. Without
the island or any obstacles, Inteleon's "hit-and-run" tactics beca
significantly more difficult. In a straight-line race through open water, the
massive serpent had the advantage of sheer reach.
Still, the Level 99 agent was a nightmare to put down. It traded blows with ga
Gyarados, utilizing the Attack drops it had forced earlier to stay in the fight.

Beneath the surface, Inteleon was caught by a brutal swipe and slamd into the
arena's reinforced outer wall. A look of pain flickered across its face, but it
vanished as quickly as it appeared.
The agent looked up. ga Gyarados was closing in for the kill.
Inteleon raised its finger, pointing it directly between the serpent's eyes.
"Inteleon! Lethal Snipe!"
Instead of firing imdiately, Inteleon entered a state of absolute, chilling
focus. Its world narrowed until everything—the rain, the trainers, the
noise—vanished. There was only the target.
Snipe Shot was its signature move, but Lethal Snipe was the "System-enhanced"
ultimate. It funneled every drop of its remaining energy into a single,
concentrated needle of water. The drawback was a total sensory lockdown and a
massive post-fire lag. It was a "One-Shot, One-Kill" gamble.
As ga Gyarados lunged, Inteleon saw the world in slow motion. Its specialized
eye mbranes scanned the serpent, identifying the microscopic gap in its
armored scales—the one weak point near its primary ejection port.
Ten ters... five ters... two ters...
NOW!
SHHH-BOOM!
The energy Inteleon had been hoarding erupted from its fingertip in a beam of
white-hot pressure.
Lawson held his breath.
The water surface went dead silent. The struggle beneath the waves seed to
have ceased.
One second... two seconds...
Gurgle...
A figure bobbed to the surface. It was Inteleon. It was floating face-down, its
consciousness fading from the strain of the ultimate.
Lawson's heart sank. But then, the water shifted again.
ga Gyarados erged slowly, its massive head breaking the surface. But
sothing was different. A faint, golden aura was flickering around its body.

Inteleon was easily one of the top three Level 99 Pokémon Kenji had ever faced.
If it weren't for the Zhurong clan's blessed starters or a literal Legendary, it
would be peerless. That final Lethal Snipe had been a perfect hit—it should have
won the match.
But Kenji had a "cheat code."
ga Gyarados was breathing heavily, its eyes bloodshot and filled with a
mixture of exhaustion and primal terror. Looking at its underbelly, there was a
jagged, blackened hole where the snipe had pierced its softest tissue.
Without the Last Stand augnt, which allowed a Pokémon to survive a lethal blow
with 1 HP, the "Sea Sovereign" would have fainted instantly.
"Inteleon is unable to battle! ga Gyarados wins!"
"The Northwest Elite Four has lost three Pokémon! We have reached the midpoint
of the match!"
Kenji and Lawson both raised their Poké Balls to recall their partners.
Kenji let out a long, shaky breath. He had initially thought ga Gyarados could
sweep the first half with ease. He had been wrong. Lawson wasn't the Leader of
the Elite Four for nothing. The old man was dangerous.
