As the ga Bracelet on Rio's wrist erupted in a blinding radiance, Abomasnow

let out a deafening roar. It threw its massive arms toward the sky, allowing the

light to consu its form.

The cocoon of energy pulsed and expanded.

"BAOOOOOOOOOO!"

A frenzied, primordial howl tore through the arena as the light shattered.

Standing in the center of the stadium was ga Abomasnow.

The transformation was massive. The Pokémon's stature had nearly doubled, its

fur bristling into needle-like structures that resembled ancient pine boughs.

Massive, jagged icicles had erupted from the sprouts on its back, acting as

atmospheric conductors that allowed the beast to whip up localized blizzards

with a single heave of its chest.

ga Abomasnow shook its body, and the falling snow instantly intensified into a

swirling white-out, as if the stadium were welcoming its Frost Emperor.

"BAO…"

The beast let out a low, vibrating growl, white steam curling from its jagged

maw.

[Pokémon Status]

Target: ga Abomasnow (Rio's Ace) Gender: Male Level: 99 Type: Ice / Grass

Ability: Snow Warning Potential: S

In the heart of the howling gale, Slaking's silhouette looked almost fragile

compared to the towering ga. The dense curtain of snow made the ape look

isolated, a solitary target at the center of the world's fury.

The tens of thousands of spectators in the High-Sovereign Arena held their

collective breath. Many were whispering that Slaking's reign of terror was

finally at an end. ga Abomasnow was the peak of the Neon League's power; if

this couldn't bring down the lazy ape, nothing could.

Rio knew the stakes. This wasn't just about a win anymore. It was about

survival. It was about the pride of her nation.

"Abomasnow! Use Ice Punch!"

"BAOOOOO!"

The monster didn't just move; it lunged with the weight of an avalanche. In its

ga form, its arms were thicker than tree trunks, backed by a physical strength

that could crush a tank into scrap tal.

Slaking narrowed his eyes. He didn't retreat. As he had with every other

opponent, he simply raised a single fist, wreathed it in a searing Fire Punch,

and swung.

SHHHH-BOOM!

The two fists collided. The impact sounded like two supersonic jets colliding in

mid-air. An explosion of steam and kinetic force rippled outward, the heat and

frost canceling each other out in a violent shockwave.

ga Abomasnow was forced back several steps, its heavy feet treading through

the deep snow.

Slaking, however, only staggered for a second, swaying on his feet before

locking his stance.

"BAO?!"

The Frost Emperor stared in pure disbelief. It was Level 99. It was

ga-evolved. Yet, in a raw test of physical power, the ape had not only matched

it—it had pushed it back.

"WHAT?!" Rio gasped, her knees nearly buckling. She knew her partner's strength

was legendary. In all of the Neon League, only Matsumoto's Scizor could trade

hits with her ga Ace. And this Slaking had just done it without even breaking

a sweat.

Slaking pulled his fist back and let out a huff. His expression shifted from

boredom to a distinct, mounting annoyance. He had wanted to finish this quickly

so he could go back into his Poké Ball and nap. But this overgrown tree refused

to stay down.

"BAOOOOO!"

ga Abomasnow unhinged its jaw. The icicles on its back began to glow with a

brilliant, freezing light. A localized hurricane of ice and sub-zero wind

erupted from its throat, swallowing everything in its path.

Blizzard!

Under the influence of the ga form, the move was catastrophic. The entire

arena was turned into a wall of white. Slaking was vanished from sight. All that

could be heard was the screaming of the wind and the rattling of the containnt

barrier.

Rio stood tall, her hands clenched. Minutes passed. As the gale finally began to

taper off, the arena was revealed to be a landscape of pure, crystalline white.

ga Abomasnow took two heavy steps forward, looking for the remains of its

prey.

In the center of the field stood an ice sculpture.

It was Slaking, his hands joined in front of his chest in a desperate defensive

posture, his head bowed. He was encased in a block of thick, translucent

permafrost.

Status: Frozen!

Rio felt a surge of ecstatic, hysterical relief. It had worked. The Blizzard had

proc'd the freeze. In this state, the ape was a sitting duck.

"WE HAVE HIM!" she shouted, her voice echoing through the silence of the

stadium.

Her goal had shifted from "dominance" to "just don't let him 1v6 ." Now, she

had a chance to end the nightmare.

"ga Abomasnow! Use Wood Hamr! SHATTER HIM!"

Rio showed no rcy. She ordered the strongest Grass-type physical nuke in the

ga. ga Abomasnow leaped into the air, its massive fists glowing with a

dense, erald energy. It aid directly for Slaking's frozen skull.

But as the beast reached the apex of its jump, sothing happened inside the

ice.

Slaking's eyes snapped open.

CRACK!

BOOM!

The ice didn't just lt; it exploded.

Kenji had been stacking the Hex Core: Unyielding Will through the previous five

knockouts, and Slaking was equipped with the Mithril Dawn. The "Frozen" status

had never been a threat—the ape had simply been using the cover of the ice to

charge up.

Slaking didn't waste a microsecond. He split his legs into a power stance,

pulled his right arm back until his shoulder muscles groaned, and looked up at

the falling tree-beast.

Rio's pupils shrank. She saw the "dead-fish" eyes had been replaced by a

murderous, golden focus.

"NO! DODGE IT!"

Too late. ga Abomasnow was mid-air, committed to the strike.

Slaking unleashed the punch he had been charging since the blizzard started.

Focus Punch!

THOOM!

The sound was singular and absolute. Slaking's fist buried itself in ga

Abomasnow's gut. A visible shockwave of kinetic energy ripped through the

beast's body, exploding out of its back in a cone of displaced air.

"BAOOOOOO—ghk!"

The Frost Emperor's cry was cut short. It was launched backward like a

projectile, its Wood Hamr completely neutralized. It streaked across the air,

slamming into the containnt barrier with a force that made the stadium's

structural alarms wail.

The white light of ga Evolution flickered and died. Before it even hit the

ground, the beast had reverted to its base form.

Abomasnow hit the floor and lay still. Out cold.

The stadium went bone-silent.

"One... shot..." Rio whispered, her face as white as the snow around her.

Her ace. Her pride. Level 99. Deleted by a single punch from a Pokémon that

wasn't even the challenger's primary weapon.

Slaking let out a long, loud yawn. He looked at his hands, then at Kenji, and

gave a lazy thumbs-up. He had just finished a month's worth of exercise in five

minutes. He was ready for bed.

"Good job, buddy. Take a long rest," Kenji said, recalling the ape with a faint

smile.

[System Notification]

Battle Concluded. Winner: Kenji (6-0 Clean Sweep).

The silence in the arena was finally broken by a slow, rising roar from the

Huaxia section. Back ho, the internet had practically crashed from the

traffic. Kenji hadn't just won; he had committed a public execution of the Neon

League's reputation.

In the Neon lounge, Shinji Oda looked like he was about to have a stroke. He

stared at the screen, his mouth opening and closing like a landed fish.

Matsumoto, the Neon Champion, sighed and closed his eyes. "I warned her," he

muttered. "There are trainers... and then there are forces of nature."

Rio stood in the arena for a long ti, unable to move. She eventually recalled

her Abomasnow, but her spirit was broken. She knew that after today, her title

as "Goddess" was gone. She would be lucky to keep her job.

The first round of the World Championship qualifiers had ended. Out of 295

participants, only 148 remained.

But as far as the world was concerned, there was only one na that mattered.

Kenji. The Sovereign of the Swarm had arrived on the global stage, and he was

taking no prisoners.
