Absol let out a long howl. Dark-type energy instantly coalesced on its forelimbs, forming a black claw that slashed toward Gyarados's incoming tail.

"Detect!!"
As Yuki shouted, Absol also sensed the danger, hastily canceling its Ice Beam.
It had just tried to use Detect to defend itself, but that red-and-yellow, wraith-like figure was already right in front of its eyes.
First, a cold glimr... then, the Fell Stinger.
Beedrill swung its long stingers, brimming with Bug-type energy, down at Absol.
"Absol!!—"
Absol cried out in pain, its white body falling backward.
"Stand up! Absol!!"
Yuki tried his old trick again. But this ti, Absol showed no reaction.
