"So, Pidgeotto, what do you think?"

Although his heart was already leaning toward Ah Hui's proposal, since this matter involved the entire Pidgey clan, Chen Mo still explained everything to Pidgeotto in full, waiting for the clan's decision.

"Pobo" and "Bibi" calls echoed back and forth across the clearing, sounding almost like a human eting in discussion.

Not long after, the result was clear.

Pidgeotto was the first to rush toward Chen Mo. Crying out excitedly with repeated "Bibi!" calls, it knocked him straight onto the ground, its aning unmistakable.

[It worked! Pidgey Express is really happening!]

[Congrats to Mo-bao on gaining another Pokémon's loyalty—and congrats to a certain rich boss in the stream who gets to be close to a whole flock of Pidgey and Pidgeotto. Damn it, being rich is nice.]

[Even though there were twists and turns, the ending is perfect. Pidgeotto fulfilled its duty to the clan and can now follow Mo-bao to chase the sky of its heart, while the Pidgey clan escapes endless conflict with the Spearow line and starts a new life. This ending is beautiful.]

[Bless you, Mo-bao. Everything you've done was worth it.]

"Yesss!"

Anping City, Lushan Villa District.

A young woman who had been nervously watching the livestream finally couldn't hold it in anymore. Hugging her tablet, she stared at Pidgeotto on the screen and shouted in excitent, rolling around on her bed while giggling nonstop.

"So many Pidgey and Pidgeotto… hehe. Fluffy, cute, strong—and when they grow up they can even carry people while flying. Oh my god, Flying-types are just the best!"

She rolled onto her back, gazing up through the glass ceiling at the blue sky above, eyes full of longing as she stretched out her hand toward it.

...

Perhaps the story had only just begun.

But with Pidgeotto and the Pidgey clan joining in, this trip to Hongjingpo Forest Park was finally drawing to a close.

"If nothing unexpected happens, we should be leaving Hongjingpo Forest Park tomorrow and heading to the city where I live."

Chen Mo gently stroked Pidgeotto's soft feathers as he spoke.

"So Pidgeotto, before tomorrow arrives, you'll need to organize your clan. We'll probably set off early in the morning."

"Bibi!"

With its eyes half-closed, Pidgeotto let out a cry, as if saying it understood.

Just as Chen Mo was about to give Pidgeotto a few more reminders about life in the city—and ask it to warn its clan not to ignore potential hostility from human society—he suddenly saw Pidgeotto take a few steps forward, deliberately turning its back toward him, repeatedly calling "Bibi, bibi."

"Wait, Pidgeotto… are you trying to tell to get on?"

Chen Mo asked in surprise.

"Bibi!"

Another loud, clear cry—he'd guessed right.

For an ordinary Pidgeotto, carrying an adult human in flight would be extrely difficult. But Chen Mo's Pidgeotto far surpassed the norm in both height and build—stronger even than many Pidgeot.

This might actually work!

Chen Mo's heart imdiately stirred.

He'd originally planned to wait until Pidgeotto evolved into Pidgeot before attempting aerial travel, but since Pidgeotto itself seed confident, there was no harm in enjoying the experience early.

"Pidgeotto, can you carry Pichu and the equipnt too?"

"Bibi!"

Preparations complete, the livestream exploded with excitent.

[I'm so jealous, brothers.]

[Who wouldn't be? Mo-bao, I'm insanely envious of you!!!]

[Mo-bao didn't forget about us—he even rembered to bring the livestream equipnt. He really is… I'm crying.]

[Hurry, hurry, let enjoy this—even if it's just through the screen.]

[Ahhhh, God, please give a Pidgeotto too! I want to fly!]

[Pidgeotto won't do though—Mo-bao's is clearly special. You'd need a Pidgeot to carry you.]

From ancient tis to now, humanity has never let go of the dream of flight—always gazing up at the sky, reaching out, longing to get closer to that endless blue.

With a mix of intense excitent and slight nervousness, Chen Mo climbed onto Pidgeotto's broad back.

"Bibi!"

Sensing that Chen Mo needed one hand to hold the livestream device, Pidgeotto didn't shoot straight upward as usual. Instead, it ascended gently at a shallow angle.

The sound of rushing wind filled their ears. Looking down, the ground they once stood on grew farther and farther away. Vast stretches of green forest rged into one, an awe-inspiring sight.

The wind brushed through Chen Mo's bangs, and in his eyes, an uncontrollable light shimred.

"Pichu, look—over there, that's Redleaf Lake!"

"Pichu pichu!"

Unlike Chen Mo, for whom this was a first, Pichu—despite agreeing to the idea—closed its eyes tightly not long after leaving the ground, its expression clearly showing fear.

"Don't worry. Trust Pidgeotto. Open your eyes, Pichu—maybe from up here, you'll even spot your little friend Magikarp."

Chen Mo smiled reassuringly.

Perhaps hearing Magikarp's na gave it courage. Pichu slowly opened its eyes—but the overwhelming visual impact made it shut them again instantly, clutching Chen Mo's shoulder with both tiny paws.

Looks like it's really afraid of heights.

If that was the case, then Chen Mo's idea of having Pichu and Pidgeotto cooperate in aerial battles might be out of the question.

Just as he was thinking this, he noticed Pichu open its eyes again, sneak a curious glance at the forest below, then quickly close them once more.

Over and over again.

Before long, it actually began to adapt to the feeling of soaring through the sky.

"Pi-pichu~"

Seeing Pichu now able to squint its eyes open, Chen Mo chuckled and had Pidgeotto slow down even more.

"By the way, Pidgeotto, I noticed you've been flying in the sa direction this whole ti. Is it because of and Pichu?"

Chen Mo asked, puzzled.

"If that's the case, you don't need to worry too much—we can handle so simple turns."

"Bibi!"

"Hm? Not because of that?"

Now Chen Mo was truly confused. At first, he'd thought Pidgeotto just wanted to give them a joyride—but now it seed there was sothing else going on.

Before he could think further, he felt Pidgeotto's body beginning to descend steadily.

It was clearly preparing to land.
