Even without Ah Hui's reminder, an image of a middle-aged police officer had already ford in Chen Mo's mind.
He rembered Officer Wang very clearly—naturally, because of the goodwill the man had shown that night.
If Chen Mo recalled correctly, Officer Wang had even ntioned that after the livestream ended, so kind of comndation would be issued to him. By now, it was probably only a matter of days.
"Mm… I think I roughly understand now…"
Many thoughts flashed through Chen Mo's mind in that instant, but in front of Ah Hui and Feng Lan, he didn't show what he was thinking.
Looking at the two of them again, he let a faint smile appear on his face.
"In that case, go ahead and give it a try. I'm really looking forward to the day when the Pidgey truly integrate into society."
"Please rest assured!"
Feng Lan nodded repeatedly.
Facing Chen Mo—soone clearly her age—she had unconsciously begun using honorifics.
After a mont's pause, she looked at Chen Mo seriously and pumped her fist in encouragent.
"Brother Mo, please don't give up on your ideals. I'll support you all the way."
Ah Hui glanced at Feng Lan, then decisively said to Chen Mo,
" too!"
Chen Mo was stunned for quite a while.
He looked at the two people standing before him, gazes firm with support.
The feeling of receiving encouragent face to face was completely different from anything before. It was like a spring of clear water pouring straight into his chest, instantly refreshing his spirit, sweeping away the fatigue buried deep inside.

Chen Mo smiled gently and said from the bottom of his heart,
"Thank you."
"So then… why exactly did you follow ?"
Chen Mo glanced at the passenger seat, where Ah Hui sat with a blissful smile, having finally gotten his wish to hold Pichu. Chen Mo was thoroughly confused.
"Doesn't Feng Lan need your help right now?"
"Ah, Brother Mo, that tomboy—she can handle the Pidgey stuff on her own just fine. If I went over, she'd probably just think I was in the way. Or worse, she'd think I was trying to steal her Pidgey."
At that, Ah Hui couldn't help but sigh deeply.
"I know her too well!"
"Do you really?" Chen Mo asked.
"Of course! Brother Mo, you have no idea. I've known her since we were three years old. Sa kindergarten, sa elentary school, sa middle school, sa high school. University was a bit farther apart, but we were still at the sa one. So I can confidently say—aside from her parents, no one in this world understands her better than I do."
Ah Hui went on and on about Feng Lan—from which kid she'd fought as a child, to how many boys she'd secretly liked during school. He spoke endlessly, the very picture of a self-proclaid expert.
Chen Mo didn't say a word. He just let a faint smile curve his lips, enjoying the spring breeze blowing in through the car window, and murmured,
"Youth really is wonderful…"
"Brother Mo, what did you say?"
"Nothing."
Chen Mo shook his head.
"So then, what does all this have to do with you getting into my car? I'm heading ho—where are you going?"
"Don't rush it, Brother Mo. It's not every day we et offline like this…"
Ah Hui looked toward an intersection up ahead and called out,
"Brother Mo, turn left at the next junction. Don't miss it."
"Huh?"
At Chen Mo's puzzled look, Ah Hui just smiled mysteriously.
"Brother Mo, do you rember that gift I said I'd give you?"
"Uh… yeah, I rember."
In truth, Chen Mo had long since forgotten amid everything else, but his expression remained perfectly calm as he nodded.
Ah Hui didn't notice and continued,
"Actually, Brother Mo, I found you a new ho!"
"What?!"
The SUV screeched to a halt on the empty road.
The sudden stop was so abrupt that even the Magikarp in the back seat—who had been quietly resting in the water—glanced toward the driver's seat.
Before Chen Mo could speak, Ah Hui realized things were going south and hurriedly said,
"Relax, Brother Mo! Haven't you been looking for a suitable place to live? I helped you pick one out these past few days. I've already talked things through with the other residents there too. You can move in with your Pokémon today."
"No."
Chen Mo said seriously.
"Ah Hui, I know your family's well-off, but I really can't accept sothing like this."
"I knew you'd say that, Brother Mo."
Ah Hui chuckled.
"Don't worry. You might not have heard clearly. I said I found you a new ho—one you rent normally, with proper paynt."
"Oh… in that case…"
Hearing that, Chen Mo found himself tempted.
After the second trip to Hongjingpo Forest Park, his little household had gained two more mbers. That small studio apartnt was becoming more and more unsuitable for his life.
Although the elderly landlady, after the Pichu rescue incident, had called again and hinted that she was willing to let him stay—
Chen Mo lifted his head and looked at the massive Pidgeotto circling in the sky.
Seeing his reaction, Ah Hui's eyes lit up, and he pressed on while the iron was hot.
"Brother Mo, the standalone villa I picked has plenty of outdoor space. It's more than enough to build a new ho for Pidgeotto—even letting it live inside the house wouldn't be a problem. There's also a huge private garden and a massive swimming pool outside. With so modification, it'd be perfect for Magikarp. The only downside is that it's a bit pricey—but with your current livestream inco, even just viewer donations are already more than enough."
Chen Mo was getting more and more tempted.
His original goal had simply been to rent a standalone house that could accommodate him and three Pokémon. But after just two livestream trips, he'd already brought back three Pokémon—who could say how many more might join him in the future? A bigger place was naturally better.
If money weren't an issue, Chen Mo might've followed Feng Lan's example and built a Pokémon ho over at Huan Lake.
"Ah Hui…"
"Brother Mo, say no more. If you really want to thank , just take with you on a future livestream trip into the wild. I'm bored out of my mind staying ho all day. I just want to head into the wild, et so Pokémon, and see if I can—uh—bring a few back. I absolutely can't let Feng Lan be the only one smug about it."
Ah Hui grinned foolishly, finally revealing his true agenda.
Chen Mo laughed as well.
He was genuinely grateful to Ah Hui—after all, Ah Hui was ranked first on his livestream donation leaderboard.
In a sense, that house was practically Ah Hui letting Chen Mo live there.
"Alright. Next ti, for sure."
Chen Mo nodded.
"But as for Pokémon—at this stage, it all cos down to fate."
"Don't worry, Brother Mo. With my level of affinity, I'm bound to 'bring back' at least one Pokémon."
Ah Hui was full of confidence.
He lowered his head, looking at Pichu in his arms, his tone already filled with anticipation for that unknown journey.
"Right, little Pichu? You think so too, don't you?"
"Pichu~~"
