That's right.
The Pokémon roasted until it was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside was none other than Frosmoth, who had just taken an Apotheosis-level Flathrower head-on.
Frosmoth was already four tis weak to Fire-type attacks. Even with its Ice Scales Ability reducing special damage, Fire was still its worst possible matchup.
And Charizard's Flathrower was no ordinary Flathrower.
One hit was all it took.
"Frosmoth!"
On the ground, Ice stared at the badly injured Frosmoth, panic flashing through her eyes.
She quickly took out a Poké Ball and recalled it.
Then she glared furiously at Aaron, cold air radiating from her body as she said in an icy voice,
"You damn bastard..."
Imdiately after, she pulled another Poké Ball from her waist, threw it out, and shouted,
"Co out... Vanilluxe!"
A flash of light passed, and a Pokémon made up of two ice-cream-like bodies appeared on the field, icy mist drifting around it.
"Vanilluxe..."
It let out a light, crystalline cry.
The mont Vanilluxe appeared, hail began falling from the surrounding sky, glittering silver beneath the moonlight.
It was none other than Vanilluxe!

No wonder hail had suddenly started falling.

Then again, Charizard was Fire / Flying, so Ice-type moves still dealt normal damage.
But Charizard also had that absurd Dragon Scales Ability, which ant Ice-type attacks would only deal half damage anyway.
"Vanilluxe... use Freeze-Dry!"
Ice gave the order coldly from below.
She knew Ice-types were at a disadvantage against Charizard, but Ice-types were her specialty.
Ice was practically crying in the bathroom.
Still, the battle wasn't over yet!
Ice thought to herself.
"Vanilluxe..."
Vanilluxe gave a clear cry, and both of its mouths released an ice-blue freezing wind that swept toward Charizard.
The surrounding air almost froze solid.
A Perfect-level Freeze-Dry was not sothing to underestimate.
"Charizard... use Dragon Roar!"
Aaron was being pelted by hail from the sky, but his expression did not change as he spoke to Charizard.
"ROOOAR!"
Charizard let out a thunderous roar, opened its mouth, and took a deep breath. Its stomach instantly swelled.
Then it spat out a scorching red fla.
The fla collided with the freezing wind, imdiately producing a massive explosion.
BOOOOM!
The freezing wind and fla clashed, scattering into countless crystal-clear specks of light that drifted through the air.
It was beautiful.
"Charizard... use Fire Spin!"
Aaron launched a fierce counterattack and shouted to Charizard.
"ROOOAR!"
Charizard roared furiously, red energy lighting up around its body. A fiery vortex suddenly rose from beneath Vanilluxe's feet, trying to trap it inside.
But how could Ice let that bastard Aaron have his way?
"Vanilluxe... use Double Team and dodge!"
Ice imdiately shouted.
"Vanilluxe!"
Vanilluxe let out a clear cry, and its body instantly split into more than a dozen afterimages.
Only one afterimage was caught by the Fire Spin before dissipating into the air.
"Vanilluxe... use Sheer Cold!"
A strange look flashed through Ice's eyes as she gave the order.
An ice-blue light actually lit up in her eyes.
She knew Vanilluxe could not possibly defeat this Charizard through ordinary ans.
That monster was so strong even its body had transford.
Normal attacks would never be enough to bring it down.
There was only one move that could end this instantly.
The one-hit knockout move—
Sheer Cold.
As long as it landed, Charizard would fall!
This was Ice's only chance.
The move's accuracy was notoriously awful.
Ridiculously low.
A glint flashed in Ice's eyes as she muttered,
"But that only applies to other people's Sheer Cold."
"Mine is different..."
The ice-blue light in Ice's eyes grew brighter and brighter.
After Double Team faded, Vanilluxe silently appeared above Charizard.
At that mont, Vanilluxe's eyes also glowed with an eerie ice-blue light, as if it were syncing with Ice's energy.
"Vanilluxe..."
Hearing Ice's command, Vanilluxe let out an excited cry, and violent ice-blue energy surged from its body.

"This woman is actually a Psychic!?"

When Aaron heard that Ice was about to use Sheer Cold, he was so startled he nearly jumped out of his skin.
He hurriedly leaped down from Charizard's back.
Then he saw a deep ice-blue glow flash through Vanilluxe's eyes.
The surrounding air froze in an instant, as if space itself were being sealed in ice.
"Vanilluxe!"
Vanilluxe radiated terrifying Ice-type energy from its entire body and let out a piercing cry.
A horrifying wave of cold erupted from it and surged toward Charizard in an instant.
Everywhere it passed, the air froze solid, forming walls of ice.
"Die, you bastard!"
"With the boost from my Ice-type psychic power, Sheer Cold becos unavoidable!"
Ice watched as the wide-area Sheer Cold swept toward Charizard like a raging wave of ice, freezing even the space around it.
A smile imdiately appeared on her face.
No one at the sa level had ever survived this Sheer Cold.
Even a mid-stage Gym-level Pokémon would either die or be gravely injured!
Ice could already picture Charizard frozen into an ice dragon.
A brilliant smile spread across her face.
"Die... I'll pay you back double for everything you did to before."
