Its single eye sharpened as it let out a low growl.
The leaf along its forearm flared with green light, rapidly extending into a long, gleaming blade.
It darted through the trees as if sprinting across open ground, then brought the blade down in a fierce slash toward Blastoise.
"Blastoise… dodge!!"
Kieran shouted at once.
"Blastoise—!"
Blastoise roared confidently, shifting its weight to sidestep.
But the instant it moved, thick roots burst from the ground, coiling around its legs and locking it in place.
"Blas?!"
Before it could react, Grovyle's Leaf Blade ca crashing down onto its head.
"Blastoise—!"
Blastoise cried out in pain as its massive body slamd hard against the ground
Leaf Blade had a base power of 90. With the boost from Grassy Terrain and the STAB bonus,
its effective power surged to 180!
And against Blastoise's Water typing, it struck for double damage—
a brutal total of 360 effective power.
If not for the significant Level gap between them, that single strike would have sent Blastoise straight back into its Poké Ball.
Thankfully, Blastoise was tough enough to endure the blow and force itself back to its feet.
"Blastoise… Ice Beam!!"
Kieran's expression tightened as he barked the command.

Fury flashed in its eyes. It opened its mouth and unleashed a frigid blue beam, firing it straight at Grovyle.
"Grovyle… Wood Release: Wood Barrier Jutsu!!"
Aaron's voice rang out once more.
Grovyle pressed its palms together and slamd them onto the grass.

The ground shook as a massive wooden shield, carved with eerie mask-like totems, surged upward to intercept the incoming Ice Beam.

The two forces collided in a violent explosion.

The wooden shield began to splinter.
Ice-type moves naturally counter Grass-types.
A thick layer of frost spread rapidly across the surface before the barrier finally shattered into fragnts.

"Well done! Blastoise, Ice Beam again!!"
Kieran had no idea what strange technique Grovyle had just used—it was sothing he'd never seen before.
But if it could be shattered, that was all that mattered.

Blastoise roared, drawing in a deep breath before unleashing another thick, icy-blue beam at Grovyle from close range.
At this distance, Grovyle wasn't Frog Boss with so broken Flying Thunder God ability.
There was no dodging this.
A sharp glint flashed through Aaron's eyes.

"Grovyle—!"
In an instant, Grovyle's gaze turned razor-sharp, its single eye blazing with brilliance.
It roared as erald light erupted from its body, and the ground began to quake violently.
BOOM— BOOM— BOOM—
The entire battlefield trembled as if struck by an earthquake.
ROAR—!!!
A thunderous dragon's cry echoed across the arena.
Under the stunned gazes of everyone present, a colossal Wood Dragon erupted from the ground. It surged forward and swallowed Blastoise's Ice Beam in a single gulp—
then continued its charge without losing montum, hurtling straight toward the horrified Blastoise with unstoppable force.
"BLASTOISE—!!!!"
Blastoise scread in panic.
In the next instant, it was engulfed by the Wood Dragon and driven violently into the ground.
BOOM—
A deafening explosion rocked the entire Pokémon Battle Arena. Thick smoke billowed into the air, debris scattering in all directions as if a colossal beast had just ravaged the battlefield.
In the stands, Major Daimon gripped the railing so tightly his knuckles turned white, staring in disbelief at the scene unfolding before him.
"Grovyle just used… what kind of move was that!?"
