What category does Pokémon World belong to?

Actually, to people from Damian's original world, the Pokémon World really feels like a semi-utopian dreamland.

Dream, light, and beauty—through Ash, from Ash's perspective, we see a very beautiful Pokémon World.

But in reality, the Pokémon World also harbors far too much darkness.

Not to ntion the various schers, collectors, and Pokémon hunters—these are the kinds of villains Ash encounters on his journeys.

So are driven by an insatiable urge to collect, so by wealth, so by ambition, so by immortality, and so on.

Movies and ani have already shown a lot of it.

And in the Pokémon gas, the villain organizations that leave the deepest impression on Damian aren't Team Rocket, they're Team Flare.

Team Rocket's goals are simple: rake in money from Pokémon.

Team Magma and Team Aqua are about expanding land and sea.

Team Galactic is basically a straight up lunatic, Team Plasma's Ghetsis is a pure scher.

And Team Flare is different—what are Lysandre's dreams?

He wants to wipe out the vast majority of dirty, ugly life, not just humans, but Pokémon too; wipe out these vast majority of life, and the world will be beautiful, flawless.

Why would he do this?

Because Lysandre once had the most beautiful original purpose, it wouldn't be wrong to say he was a true philanthropist.

But because of that, he saw the ugliness of humanity.

And because of that, he felt the world needed cleansing and purification; the existence of these lazy, ugly people ans the world can't truly beco beautiful.

So under his rule, Team Flare gradually beca an extre organization.

That ideology is basically the sa as Lance's ideology in the Special manga for Kanto Elite Four.

In the Special manga, Lance started as an extre villain boss who would wipe out most of the humans in this world to create a perfect dream town.

Mm, and after being defeated, Lance woke up.

But Lysandre didn't get that chance; in the ga, he despaired after being stopped by the protagonist, and his outco is self-evident.

Damian carefully thought back; among the various generations of villain organization bosses, it seems Lysandre's ending is the only one that ends in death.

Giovanni disbanded Team Rocket and disappeared to train, waiting for that day to return.

Maxie and Archie returned the Orb to an elderly couple and honestly admitted their mistakes.

Cyrus was pulled into the Reverse World by Giratina, thinking about life in that Distortion World.

N and Colress were redeed; Ghetsis was beaten by children twice and then went mad.

And the villains after Gen VII? We don't even have to ntion them—the worst was Rose, calmly imprisoned.

But Lysandre is dead, which leaves a deep, lasting impression.

Indeed, Lysandre was a dangerously insane thinker, but in Damian's view, being driven to madness by reality is sowhat better than Cyrus, who believed himself superior.

At least Lysandre isn't beyond saving.

In Gen VII, Rainbow Lysandre hesitated after being beaten by Selene; if there were a trainer like Selene in his world, would he have walked a different path?

Yet the next mont Rainbow Lysandre hardened his ideology again.

"If there's a possibility to make the world beautiful, even if what can be saved is only a drop in the ocean, I will march on that path with unwavering resolve."

That line actually encapsulates Lysandre's life.

Witnessing humanity's ugliness and strife made him stubbornly believe that wiping out these ugly people would make the world beautiful.

What should we call this ideology?

It's sick, yet sohow pitiful.

"Team Flare, is it an evil team?"

Dawn feels a twinge of regret; from Gladion's introduction, Team Flare used to be a benevolent organization.

Yet it ended up like this.

"Well, Lysandre is still hiding very effectively, and his enterprises have developed many devices that benefit the people."

Damian nods; Team Flare's reputation in the Kalos Region isn't great right now, but it's not bad either.

After all, Team Flare started as a Research Laboratory, and most of its admins were scientists.

For example, holographic image communicators—the tech Team Flare developed and popularized—are widespread across the Kalos Region.

"Boss, what do we do? Go straight to attack Team Flare and swallow them?"

Gladion falls silent, then asks Damian.

"There's no real need; Team Flare still has plenty of talent, but winning their loyalty completely isn't easy."

"Let them fend for themselves."

Damian rests his chin on his hand, eager to take down Team Flare, which to him is not difficult.

After all, Team Flare's strength is diocre; wiping them out could be accomplished by having a temporary mber co over, or by Caitlin bringing people, either way would work.

But what Damian wants isn't to wipe out Team Flare, but to swallow them.

"When they think they're about to succeed, land a heavy blow, then throw them a lifeline; they'll grab onto it."

Damian grins; will Lysandre's plan succeed?

Honestly, even if he doesn't intervene, Lysandre's success would be nearly impossible.

Lysandre is way too extre, wiping out most humans and Pokémon, not to ntion humans first.

If Lance found out even about Lysandre's treatnt of Pokémon, he'd probably sprint from Kanto to put Lysandre down.

Even Lance from the Special manga, though also extre, only targeted humans; after all, Lance's original purpose in the Special manga was to build a dreams world for Pokémon and nature.

"In short, let's first focus on growing the turf and enterprises; Gladion, you'll have a hard ti."

Damian stretches and smiles at Gladion.

"For work for the organization, it's only natural."

Gladion's cold face doesn't change; currently he remains an executive in Team Rocket.

But as Damian's loyal confidant and power broker, his status in Team Rocket is essentially top‑tier.

Lillie! I'll be your backbone!

That's Gladion's brotherly conviction!

As long as there's a brother, even Miss Caitlin wouldn't dare bully you in the future!

Look at that, look at that!

Damian pats Gladion on the shoulder; honestly, among so many subordinates, Gladion is truly exemplary.

Accompanying him on campaigns across regions, his importance goes without saying; besides the Alola Region, in almost every other Region Gladion has held very important positions.

Not only does he help grow the organization's enterprises, but he also handles all the organization's affairs; he's basically Damian's right‑hand man.

What a useful brother‑in‑law!

No, we'll need to get an excellent Pokémon for him in the future as well.

After a quick discussion about the Kalos Region's upcoming growth, Damian leads Caitlin and Dawn away from the company building.

Their first visit to Lumiose City should be a good exploration.

Lumiose City is vast, but they'll be staying in Kalos for a while, so the three of them aren't in a hurry; they wander slowly.

After about two hours of wandering, the three decide to take a break.

Café Soleil sits on the southern street, a café full of people taking a rare mont to rest.

But it's afternoon now, so the crowd isn't huge; as they enter, Damian glances toward the side of the café.

Dressed in a sleek black leather outfit, with wild, lion‑like orange hair and a mature, resolute face, Lysandre sits there.

Across from him is a woman in a gorgeous white outfit, fair skin, and striking beauty.

Diantha, the fad Kalos Region actress and Elite Four Champion, at that mont as well.

This scene makes Damian smile faintly; he sits with Caitlin and Dawn at a table beside Lysandre and Diantha.

Diantha gently stirs her coffee with a refined little spoon; when she sees the three of them approach, she looks up with a surprised expression.

Seeing the three of them, Diantha can't help but be impressed—these three are so striking in dress, aura, and looks that it's hard not to be impressed.

After they sit, Diantha notices the boy seems to notice her gaze and he smiles and nods at her.

Diantha returns a friendly smile.

A polite boy indeed, but why does he feel so familiar?

A handso boy with black hair, dressed in black.

Diantha ponders; she feels like she's seen him sowhere, but can't recall at the mont.

It's probably not in real life; otherwise she'd surely have an impression—this boy is very recognizable and leaves a strong impression.

Maybe from a magazine, a video, or sothing else, Diantha muses.

But then…

"Miss Diantha."

A deep, mature voice interrupts her thoughts—that of Lysandre.

Diantha's brows crease slightly; she feels she should recognize him by now, but she isn't alone, and her mind isn't helping her right now.

Diantha looks across at Lysandre; she knows him—as the president of Team Flare, a research organization, Lysandre is well known in the Kalos Region.

"Miss Diantha, you once played a young girl perfectly on the big screen; have you ever thought about keeping your youth and beauty forever, continuing to play that kind of role?"

Lysandre's deep gaze locks on Diantha as he asks softly.

"What a strange question…"

Diantha thinks for a mont.

"Why would I want to stay in the sa type of role? Youth may be beautiful, but it doesn't represent life as a whole."

"Everything changes; I want to live, to grow, so I hope to play older roles in the future."

Diantha replies with a gentle smile.

"But you were chosen to be a movie star, weren't you? Keeping beauty is your duty, isn't it?"

Lysandre raises his teapot with his right hand, pouring a bit more hot water into his cup, his gaze deep.

"All beautiful things should remain beautiful forever; I want this world to stay beautiful."

Lysandre's voice grows deeper.

"I will not tolerate a world that isn't beautiful anymore!"

Hearing this, Diantha looks at Lysandre in astonishnt, the president of the Team Flare research organization in front of her.

These words… sothing feels off.

Diantha's sharp brows crease slightly.

But Lysandre seems unfazed; he doesn't care whether Diantha will react to his words, because he has back‑ups in the Kalos League and doesn't need to worry.

He sincerely admires Diantha—not for her Champion identity, but for her actor identity.

In Lysandre's view, Diantha's outstanding acting moves others; she has sacrificed her life to bring happiness to others.

If everyone in the world were like Diantha, how beautiful would the world be?!

"Ah, Serena."

At that mont, Lysandre's eyes catch a familiar figure.

Damian also looks over—there stands a very beautiful, radiant girl.

She wears a black, form‑fitting sleeveless top that outlines her slim upper body, a red striped high‑waisted dress, a slender waist.

Black thigh‑high stockings extend up to shapely thighs, a clear line between the dress and stockings; ash blonde hair flows, a pink hat on her head, shades perched on the brim.

A stylish, stunning girl.

Damian's lips quirk up; this is Gen VI's female protagonist, Serena!

"Mr.Lysandre, Miss Diantha."

Serena walks up to Lysandre and Diantha, greeting them.

"It seems you know Miss Diantha; no introduction needed. My company still has affairs to handle, please allow to take my leave."

Lysandre smiles politely and takes his leave.

"Mr.Lysandre looks very busy."

Serena watches Lysandre's back; not surprising, since Lysandre runs a research organization.

Serena sits, but as she turns, her bag brushes against Damian's arm.

Serena notices imdiately.

"Sorry, did I touch you, sir?"

Serena quickly apologizes to Damian, bowing.

"It's fine; you didn't do it on purpose."

"My apologies, sir; let pay for your coffee."

Serena, earnest, feels a bit embarrassed.

"Please don't refuse; this is my apology."

"Well, in that case, thank you, adorable Miss. Let introduce myself—we're Damian, from the Kanto Region."

Damian gives a light laugh, stands up, and extends a hand to introduce himself.

But Diantha, who had been watching Serena with a motherly smile, suddenly freezes, and looks at the black‑haired boy in shock.

Diantha sweating buckets.
