Unfortunately, most of the stories Cynthia shared turned out to be little more than folk rumors and local myths—colorful, but unreliable.
Not a single new Legendary Pokémon surfaced from them.
Still, Sora gained sothing valuable:
knowledge of many regions he had never heard of in the gas or ani.
From his perspective, that alone was worth the ti.
On Cynthia's side, however, the gains were even greater.
The Legendary Birds of Kanto.
Ho-Oh of Johto.
And the creation myths of Sinnoh unfolding right in her own backyard.
Every topic fascinated her.
Before they realized it, the conversation had stretched from afternoon into evening.
They even shared dinner together.
Only when night grew late did they finally bring the discussion to a close—much to Cynthia's lingering regret.
"The God of Ti, Dialga…
and the God of Space, Palkia."
"Beyond them," Sora had said earlier,
"there should be a third presence beneath the Great Sinnoh Deity—forming the three pillars of the ancient Hisui mythology."
That idea was entirely new to Cynthia.
Yet she did not imdiately press him for details.
As a scholar, she valued evidence over hearsay.
"Next, I'll investigate along that line of thought," she said.
Her gaze toward Sora carried clear gratitude.
She intended to verify the hypothesis through research.
Only with sufficient proof could she confirm whether his theory was correct.
Before parting, Sora released Bloodmoon Ursaluna.
"This is Hèyuè," he explained.
"I t him in Kitakami as well."
He recounted how he explored the Tiless Woods, encountered the massive Pokémon, and eventually ford a partnership.
"Ursaring… can evolve even further?"
Cynthia's eyes lit up.
To her, this discovery rivaled the significance of formal academic research.
If docunted in a scientific paper, it would undoubtedly attract attention from Professors across multiple regions.
"Let's spare the researcher life," Sora said with a chuckle.
"I don't think I have the talent for that."
"However… there is sothing I'd like to ask for your help with."
"Please," Cynthia replied imdiately.
She had already received trendous value from their conversation.
Anything within her capability—she would not refuse.
"This."
Sora produced a Peat Block and held it out.
"It's an evolution item that allows Ursaring to evolve into Ursaluna. I call it a Peat Block."
"Peat Block…"
Cynthia picked one up and examined it carefully.
After a mont, she looked back at him.
"You want to help promote it?"
"Yes."
Sora nodded.
"Travel requires funding. And I'm on my own, supporting quite a few hungry mouths."
"Luckily, I found a good number of these in Kitakami."
"I'll help," Cynthia said without hesitation.
She placed the Peat Block back down.
"If you trust , you can store these items with temporarily."
"I'll have professionals evaluate them, set pricing, and arrange sales channels."
Then she added another offer:
"Would you like sponsorship as well?"
"In return, simply share any historical or mythological discoveries you encounter during your travels."
Despite being born into an ancient family from Celestic Town, Cynthia understood the struggles of ordinary trainers better than most.
Over the years, she had seen many challengers in situations similar to Sora's.
When circumstances allowed, she often helped—introducing job opportunities, offering guidance, or opening doors.
"Thank you," Sora said sincerely.
But he declined the sponsorship.
"As long as this batch of Peat Blocks sells successfully, I should be financially secure for quite so ti."
"True…"
Cynthia nodded.
From Sora, she accepted 10 Peat Blocks:
1 Premium quality
3 High quality
6 Standard quality
Based on current market knowledge:
A standard Sun Stone typically sold for 20,000–30,000 Poké Dollars.
Peat Blocks were rarer—and tied to an evolution lost to history.
That alone multiplied their value several tis over.
From Cynthia's professional judgnt:
Standard Peat Block: at least 100,000
High quality: roughly 200,000
Premium: around 400,000
And those were only baseline estimates.
Because of scarcity, normal retail sales wouldn't suffice.
They would need to be auctioned.
At auction, prices could climb even higher.
After all, many wealthy collectors kept Teddiursa as pets.
Once evolved into Ursaring, they possessed impressive combat ability.
Target the right clientele, and:
200,000… 300,000… even more would be entirely plausible.
Even under conservative estimates, those ten Peat Blocks could generate nearly:
2,000,000 Poké Dollars.
To put that in perspective:
Sora had spent a year and a half working tirelessly just to save 100,000.
And this was only the first batch.
Once the reputation of Ursaluna spread, the remaining inventory would beco even more valuable.
He had absolute confidence in Ursaluna.
A Pokémon that powerful?
Any capable trainer would want one.
Even Cynthia herself purchased one Premium Peat Block from him—for 400,000.
Ursaluna belonged to the ancient Hisui era.
And Hisui was the old na for Sinnoh.
The best advertisent was always a powerful example.
And there was no better representative than the Sinnoh Champion.
Her team naturally featured Pokémon from her ho region.
"You're sure you don't want to pay more?" Cynthia asked.
"You know I'm not short on money."
"If I weren't worried you'd refuse, I'd rather just give you the extra."
From Sora's perspective, trading a Premium Peat Block for goodwill from a Champion was already an incredible bargain.
Especially when she was also helping promote the product.
"That wouldn't be right," he replied firmly.
Just as he expected, Cynthia would never accept such a costly gift.
So he compromised.
"When you raise your own Ursaluna," Sora said,
"let my Hèyuè teach it so experience."
"Deal."
Cynthia smiled.
"Then I'll be counting on this big fellow."
She gently patted Ursaluna's arm.
The massive Pokémon rumbled softly—clearly not displeased by her presence.
"Looking forward to our next eting."
After exchanging contact information, the two finally parted ways.
The responsibilities of a regional Champion were imnse.
Spending half a day in conversation with Sora had already pushed Cynthia's schedule to its limit.
