Now reading: Chapter 64 64: Princess Kimia’s Resolve from Pokémon: Starting From Zero as a Legendary Pokémon, a Action novel by YonkoSlayer.

Raising Pokémon and training Pokémon—

Even a tiny mistake in any step could lead to lasting damage to a Pokémon's body.

Sora listened attentively, occasionally jotting down notes.

Far from making Kimia look down on him, this only deepened her respect.

Look at this—

Soone as powerful as Mr. Sora was still this eager to learn.

No wonder he could command the Victory Star and Ogerpon.

Oh—and Ursaluna and Lilligant as well.

They weren't legendary Pokémon, but Kimia still felt they were terrifyingly strong.

Especially Ursaluna…

If I faced it, even using all six of my Pokémon… I still probably wouldn't win.

Even in a six-on-one scenario, she lacked confidence.

That alone showed how much pressure Ursaluna gave her.

"By the way."

After walking together for a while, Sora had already gotten a sense of Kimia's personality.

She loved Pokémon and respected all living beings.

She was fair, responsible, and more than capable of leading the Azoth Kingdom.

"There's sothing I need to tell you."

"What is it?"

Sora then recounted how he had encountered two bounty hunters on his way here.

He also brought up the na—Jarvis.

"As far as I know, this man already had quite a criminal record before coming to Azoth."

This wasn't made up.

In the original story, Jarvis was an outsider.

And soone like that was unlikely to be clean.

Just the attitudes of Doka and Yisha toward trainers were already telling.

"What?!"

Kimia had never trusted Jarvis to begin with.

She thought he was manipulative—especially the way he had wrapped her naive younger brother around his finger.

But she had never imagined sothing worse.

In her mind, Jarvis might covet Azoth's wealth and technology—

But plotting sothing truly catastrophic?

"That's not all."

Sora continued,

"Jarvis's real goal is to find the ultimate weapon left behind by Eliphas five hundred years ago—and use it to dominate the Unova region."

Admittedly, that was a slight understatent.

In truth, Jarvis aid to dominate the entire world.

Honestly, Sora found it a bit ridiculous.

These villains always wanted to conquer the world.

Not that it was impossible.

So of them genuinely had the ans.

Take Cyrus of Team Galactic— he captured the Lake Guardians, controlled Dialga and Palkia, and tried to recreate the universe.

Or Team Aqua and Team Magma in Hoenn— their plans to expand the ocean or land could destabilize the entire region.

Even Team Flare in Kalos was no joke.

Compared to them, Jarvis…

Just building a floating fortress?

That didn't even disrupt natural balance.

At worst, it would destroy human cities and Pokémon habitats.

Still dangerous—but not apocalyptic.

"T-this…"

Kimia had never heard anything so alarming.

She didn't imdiately believe him and instead asked where he had learned this.

"I'm a traveler," Sora said.

"I explore the histories and legends of different regions."

"Everything I've told you cos from my investigation into Azoth."

He didn't expect her to believe him right away.

Once Magearna appeared, Jarvis would inevitably reveal himself.

There was no way he would sit back and watch Sora take Magearna without acting.

"Jarvis ca here for Magearna," Sora continued.

"He wants her Soul-Heart."

"That Soul-Heart is the energy source that powers the flying fortress."

"In a sense," he added,

"our goals overlap—we're both searching for Magearna."

"What?!"

Kimia's heart skipped a beat.

Jarvis's strength didn't worry her too much—she believed she could handle him.

But Sora…

If he beca an enemy, Azoth would stand no chance.

"Relax," Sora said.

"I have no interest in that fortress."

"To , Magearna is just Magearna."

"She's a Pokémon—not a 'Soul-Heart,' not an energy source."

He made his stance clear.

He wanted to et Magearna, possibly take her with him—

Nothing more.

"I… see."

Kimia let out a quiet breath of relief.

She also understood why Sora was being so open.

Historically, Magearna had belonged to the Azoth royal family.

And now, only she and her younger brother, Raleigh, could make decisions regarding that legacy.

By being honest, Sora was essentially asking:

What is your stance?

Kimia thought for a mont.

She wasn't worried Sora would use Magearna to activate the fortress.

There was no need.

Victini alone already possessed power comparable to Magearna's Soul-Heart.

With that kind of energy, even reshaping the natural balance of Kalos wouldn't be impossible.

"Magearna is free."

Having realized this, Kimia felt calr.

"She belonged to the royal family… five hundred years ago."

In other words—

Magearna was no different from the wild Pokémon living on the Nebel Plateau.

At least, that was how Kimia saw it.

"So even if you capture her, Mr. Sora, it has nothing to do with the Azoth royal family."

Of course, Kimia cared about Magearna.

If given the chance, she would gladly beco Magearna's trainer— to fulfill her royal duty and care for her.

But the problem was—

Jarvis wanted Magearna too.

And according to Sora, her Soul-Heart could power a devastating war machine.

That kind of temptation was dangerous—

For Azoth.

And for Magearna herself.

The best solution…

was to keep her far away from the center of that storm.

I see now…

At that mont, Kimia felt she finally understood Eliphas.

That great inventor—

Wasn't this exactly why he had sent Magearna away from Azoth in the first place?
