"Don't even think about harming my master."
Ursaluna couldn't speak human language, but his stance alone was enough to infuriate Volcanion.
"You ignorant fool! You have no idea how ugly humans truly are!"
A deep blue sphere of energy ford above Volcanion's head, rapidly expanding until it beca a massive orb the size of a house.
"That move—is that Steam Eruption?!"
"Not good!"
Sora's pupils shrank. He imdiately ordered Ursaluna to use Blood Moon to counter the impending destruction.
But Ogerpon moved even faster.
At so point, she had already appeared beside Volcanion.
Her erald Thorned Club extended like a whip and slamd violently into his abdon.
"Ugh!"
Even Volcanion couldn't suppress a cry of pain.
His massive body was sent flying dozens of ters—along with the unstable Steam Eruption.
BOOM!!
Almost the instant Volcanion hit the ground, the blue energy sphere detonated deep in the forest.
A terrifying shockwave tore outward.
The earth flipped. Trees were uprooted.
The deafening explosion felt like a localized earthquake, shaking every Pokémon nearby off balance.
"Careful!"
Kimia stumbled and nearly fell, but Sora caught her just in ti.
"Thank you… What was that?"
She looked ahead.
The forest was gone.
In its place— a massive crater nearly a hundred ters wide.
"Terrifying…"
She covered her mouth, unable to believe a Pokémon could unleash such destruction.
The gap was too great.
She couldn't even imagine how one could defend against an attack like that.
"Gardevoir?"
She turned to her partner.
Gardevoir shook her head frantically.
"We'd die. We'd definitely die."
anwhile—
Volcanion let out a pained groan.
His entire body trembled.
That strike had landed squarely on a vital point.
If not for his imnse durability and iron will, he would have been down already.
Even as a Mythical Pokémon, he was still flesh and blood.
Unlike true deities— those beings could recover from defeat within seconds.
The difference in vitality was on an entirely different level.
"Damn it…"
Volcanion glared at the small figure who had struck him.
"What are you?"
For a mont, he even wondered—
If a true god had taken that hit head-on, wouldn't it still hurt like hell?
"Ponii!"
Ogerpon puffed up, clearly displeased.
She raised her club and pointed at him.
"Weren't you the one who attacked us first?!"
Charging in without a word— and using such a dangerous move at that.
If she hadn't intervened, even if Ursaluna and Victini could block it,
Sora would have been caught in the aftermath.
"Us?"
Volcanion's expression darkened further.
"Hmph. Humans' lackeys… Another fallen one."
"Don't you dare say bad things about Sora!"
Ogerpon's temper flared instantly.
She tightened her grip on her club, ready to beat him down the mont Sora gave the word.
Volcanion fell silent.
His gaze flickered toward that club—and he made one thing clear to himself:
Under no circumstances can I get hit by that again.
Because—
That hurt way too much.
"Wait."
Sora finally stepped forward, standing beside Ogerpon.
"Ponii?"
"Vini~"
Ogerpon and Victini flanked him protectively.
Ursaluna stepped forward as well, his heavy paw crashing onto the scorched ground with a low, threatening rumble.
"Human…"
Volcanion tensed.
He had no interest in talking.
But after seeing Ursaluna block his strength head-on—and feeling Ogerpon's devastating strike—he forced himself to stay calm.
"Princess, could you move back a little with the others?"
Sora ignored Volcanion for the mont and addressed Kimia and the gathered Pokémon.
So scary…
"Is this really Lord Volcanion's power?"
"I actually survived fighting soone like that?!"
"As expected of Big Sister Ponpon—she even knocked Volcanion flying!"
The earlier explosion had terrified everyone.
They had always known Volcanion was strong—but compared to that attack, previous encounters felt like child's play.
Just imagine—In a battle, one move obliterates the entire battlefield, leaving behind a crater dozens of ters deep.
No dodging it.
Flying wouldn't help.
Steam Eruption covered everything—sky and ground alike.
One move, and not just your opponent—the entire arena was gone.
In a formal battle, that would practically be cheating.
What would even be the point of fighting?
"Mr. Sora?"
"Don't worry."
He waved his hand casually.
"I'll be fine."
Reluctantly, Kimia retreated with Gardevoir.
The surrounding Pokémon instinctively cleared space as well, forming a wide circle around the crater.
At the center—
Sora and Volcanion faced each other.
"Drawing all these Pokémon here… what are you trying to do?"
Having cald down slightly, Volcanion finally noticed the crowd.
A flicker of unease passed through him.
If that Steam Eruption had fully detonated earlier, many innocent Pokémon might have been caught in it.
Still—
He wouldn't show weakness now.
He could apologize to them later.
As for Sora—
A human trainer?
One he assud to be evil?
He deserved to be blasted into the sky.
Volcanion had no intention of holding back against soone who treated Pokémon as tools.
