August 29th, Saturday.
Natsu yawned and instinctively reached out to hug sothing, only to find that the texture felt a bit off.
It was more bony than Eevee, which he could easily hold in one hand, and its fur was even softer…
"Sylveon!"
Sylveon suddenly popped its head out from under the blanket, its cherry-colored ribbons falling loosely as it blinked its sapphire-blue eyes.
Natsu's expression turned strange.
No wonder I had another nightmare this morning, dreaming that a Snorlax was crushing with a Body Slam…
After Evolution, Eevee's weight had skyrocketed from 6.5kg to 23.5kg.
Add to that the fact that Natsu-sensei's Sylveon had been living a life of luxury, its limbs were even more robust.
Getting stepped on by it in the morning felt like being run over by a steamroller!
"Eevee, you need to go on a diet," Natsu said seriously.
"Sylveon! (`皿`)??"
Natsu chuckled and ruffled Sylveon's little head.
After adapting to its Evolution, Eevee had mastered "Disarming Voice," and its cries had beco more delicate.
But its personality hadn't changed, and Natsu-sensei's place in the family hierarchy was clear as day.
After getting up and making a salad for breakfast, Haunter grabbed a slice of bread while holding a notebook in its other hand.
"Haunter!" Haunter nodded thoughtfully as it held the notebook.
Natsu was stunned. "What's this?"
Haunter opened the notebook, showing it off to Natsu.
"Wow, not only do you have a training plan, but you even made a schedule?!"
Haunter adjusted its nonexistent glasses.
After all, reasonable arrangents training intensity is an important task for a Trainer!
Squirtle cautiously accepted the slice of bread.
It tore off a small piece and tossed it into Haunter's mouth. After confirming there was no issue, it nodded.
Natsu's lips twitched.
Your paranoia is getting worse, Squirtle!
Besides, Haunter is a Poison-type! Who uses Haunter to test for poison?!
"I feel like all my Pokémon are problem children!" Natsu sighed deeply.
...
After breakfast, Sylveon, wearing a Soothe Bell, hopped onto the hamster wheel.
So early in the morning, Natsu-sensei's house was filled with the crisp sound of jingling bells.
"Sylveon! (*≧▽≦)"
Natsu smiled helplessly and opened his notebook to start drafting the project plan for the third ga.
Most hit single-player gas are simple in gaplay but rely on being fun and creative.
The third ga Natsu planned to "borrow" was also simple but required a physics engine.
However, with Steven's connections, getting technical support from Devon Corporation shouldn't be too difficult.
Natsu nad it—Angry Pidove.
The premise was that a group of Spoink had stolen Pokémon eggs, and players had to use various regional bird Pokémon to rescue them.
Sticking to Pokémon Studio's signature Pokédex style, it could be turned into a showcase of Bird Pokémon.
Reaching certain points would unlock Evolution forms… which would likely appeal to many Flying-type Trainers.
"Hmm… other flying Pokémon can be added too," Natsu muttered.
He called Mina, who was far away in Alola, and assigned her specific tasks.
Mina giggled. "Don't worry, Uncle, leave it to !"
"Deduct 500 Pokémon Coins," Natsu said flatly. "Work hard, and your salary won't be short."
"Cheapskate!"
As for Kazuya, whose hairline was becoming increasingly concerning, Natsu felt a pang of sympathy and instructed, "Devon Corporation will provide the ga engine. Take your ti, no rush!"
Kazuya gave a pale smile and silently raised a thumbs-up.
In the afternoon, the three little ones suddenly disappeared.
But this was normal for Natsu-sensei's household. They'd always co back by alti.
Natsu-sensei pondered for a mont and began preparing the cards for tonight's livestream.
...
"Haunter!"
Haunter led the two Pokémon to a luxurious building and pointed at the sign.
On the front of the building, bold letters read: "Tokyo Gyms."
Takuya was reading a book inside the gym when he suddenly felt a chill. "What's going on…? There haven't been any challengers recently."
Just then, a student hurried in and whispered, "Leader, there's a new challenger… but it seems a bit strange."
"Strange? How so?"
The student looked awkward. "The challenger… is a Haunter!"
Takuya was stunned.
What's going on? Can Pokémon challenge Gyms on their own now?
"Then let it defeat the three evaluation officers first," Takuya said, sipping his tea.
The student hesitated. "The three seniors have already surrendered. Haunter is waiting in the front hall!"
Takuya imdiately started coughing violently.
What the heck?
You can't even stop a Haunter?!
anwhile, in the front hall.
Haunter grinned at the two little ones behind it.
New dungeon, "Tokyo Gyms," unlocked!
Takuya pretended to remain calm as he entered the front hall.
He saw the three evaluation officers crouching on the ground, surrounding Sylveon.
"Aww, it's so cute!"
"But it's so fierce! It won't let pet it!"
"By the way, doesn't this Haunter look familiar?"
Takuya's lips twitched.
Now I know why Pokémon can challenge Gyms on their own—
Turns out my evaluation officers are all traitors!
Suddenly, Takuya froze.
Isn't this the sa Haunter that swept my entire team last ti?
It ca to challenge Tokyo Gyms without even bringing its Trainer?!
But as he looked at Sylveon's adorable appearance, Takuya's heart softened. "Haunter, how many Badges do you have?"
Haunter scratched its head and held up one finger.
Takuya chuckled. "Then don't bla for bullying you. I'm using the sa team composition as last ti!"
"Haunter!" Haunter nodded.
At the signal, Sylveon gracefully leaped onto the battlefield, baring its teeth.
Takuya was slightly taken aback.
Trainer Haunter sent out Sylveon?!
At the sa ti, a dark Shadow Ball began to form at Sylveon's bow…
...
While preparing dinner at ho, Natsu-sensei suddenly heard the System's announcent.
[Gym Challenge successful! Note: Repeated Gym Challenges do not provide rewards.]
Natsu's lips twitched.
"Can't you see I'm cooking? When do I have ti to challenge Gyms?"
The System fell silent.
Just then, Haunter led the two little ones back from outside.
"Haunter!"
"You're back just in ti. Go wash your hands…"
Before he could finish, there was a crisp clinking sound.
Haunter tossed a Badge onto the coffee table and humd a tune as it floated toward the bathroom.
Natsu picked up the Badge and was stunned.
Isn't this… the Tokyo Badge?
After comparing it several tis with the Badge he had obtained before, Natsu's expression turned strange.
You guys can go challenge Gyms on your own now?!
But thinking about it, during the succession ceremony at Viridian Gym, there had been instances of wild Pokémon challenging the Gym…
Natsu's expression grew complicated as he muttered, "Feels like I've unlocked a new achievent!"
...
Tokyo Gyms.
"Leader, my condolences!"
"It's just a three-Pokémon sweep. At least it wasn't a full team wipe!"
Takuya almost couldn't catch his breath.
So this is why you were all cheering for Sylveon earlier?
Who knew a Sylveon without commands could also sweep the reserve team?!
Leader Takuya buried his head in his hands and let out a long sigh. "This is too hard…"
